Although I wasn't able to retrieve repair services from these guys, I'm rating them a 5 STAR based on their eager approach to assisting me with my son's Lenovo laptop, and their ultimate kindness. I had spoken with Greg, who's professional and knowledgeable approach to technology caught my attention. Then, on the day of my appt, I spoken with Sherri, who was so sweet and personable. Unfortunately, the reason why they could not fix my son's laptop, was due to the fact that the warranty it was under had it's own company who worked on it ( I didn't find that out until Greg was able to unlock it and notify me right away). He even got me ALL the info I needed to get it to where it needed to go, along with a free shipping label! Talk about customer service!! Great customer service! I was unable to get internet connection on my HP laptop (yes, I verified the connection). I needed to complete a work assignment and needed my laptop ASAP! I took it to a UBreakiFix repair shop in Dunwoody who told me they could not even look at for a few hours. I explained my situation and it fell on def ears. I called Higher Calling and the gentleman who answered the phone said bring it over and we'll take a quick look. I rushed over and Dan(I think that's his name) opened the laptop and said, "it's working" He said I needed to contact my ISP and let them know what's happening. After an unfortunate accident, my laptops screen was totally shattered. I was worried I'd have to fight with Toshiba Tech Support or pay an outrageous repair fee making replacement the better option. Thankfully I called Higher Calling and got a quote instead. I called several other nearby repair stores and this shop not only had the best price, they also had the replacement screen in stock, and offered to replace it same-day. When I got there, I got a warm reception, and I was told the repair wouldn't even take 20 minutes. Wow! My power jack went out on my laptop. The only reason it took two days for the repair is because the manufacturer, Fujitsu, doesn't ship parts overnight. Excellent Service! These guys have worked on my Toshiba Ultrabook several times, once to install a 1TB SSD, once to install a new battery and today to install a new motherboard and WiFi antenna. I was using my laptop, and some debris got into the keyboard, and I went to try to pop off one of the keys to try to clear it, and I could not get the key to snap back on! I just decided it would be easier to replace the keyboard, since it had been giving my trouble anyway. This was on a late Thursday evening. I searched the 'well known online auction house" and saw that I could order one without too much cost and trouble for a brand new one. I was resigned to the fact that I would need a couple of days downtime to obtain and put in the new keyboard. However, looking at one of the listings, I saw that it was local. I contacted the seller, which happened to be Higher Calling Computers, and asked them if they would not mind me coming to pick it up. The next morning they had replied that I could pick it up. So Friday afternoon, after leisurely winding my way through the Sandy Springs area, I made my way to Higher Calling. The front desk personnel were very pleasant and knew about the order, and they retrieved it. They were very knowledgable about the part and even demonstrated how to replace it. They were also kind enough to give me some small additional parts with no further charge. They also mentioned that they were the East Coast Repair center for Lenovo, which I will keep in mind in case I need further repairs. The price of the part was very reasonable. After an easy replacement, I am typing this on the new keyboard, which seems to work even better that the old one! This is one amazing company! First of all, it was so nice to call and get an intelligent and informed technician (if you've dealt with Toshiba "tech support" lately, you do NOT get this, nor do you with some other local Atlanta computer repair places). Second, the help, information, and repair once I got there was unbelievably great! They had advised me that my keyboard cable might just be loose, and when I came in the technician helped me immediately, took a quick look, adjusted the cable, put some better tape on it than Toshiba had used, and I'm up and running. Also, the price for this help was beyond generous on their part! I also got quite an education about Toshiba and advice on how to get the best kind of laptop the next time I'm in the market. A couple of years ago, my laptop needed some repairs. I called the manufacturer and they referred me to Higher Calling (formerly known as Robert's). The staff was professional, considerate and knowledgeable. They were also very efficient and returned my laptop in a timely manner. I was highly impressed with their service and referred others whenever I could. Recently, one of the keys on my laptop lifted and was constantly sticking as well. I was hoping it wasn't going to require me to get another keyboard and I really wanted a quick, affordable solution. So, I decided to take it back to Robert's. It was then that I discovered they had moved a few doors down and changed their name to Higher Calling. I went into Higher Calling IT expecting to pay for a new wireless card - I haven't had internet capability on my older laptop for several months. They looked at my laptop while I waited, found the problem immediately (a messed up setting not the wireless card), and fixed it then and there. My laptop crashed the day before a school assignment was due because my dog chewed the adapter. No Best Buy or tech store sold my laptops adapter cable. There was nothing wrong with the internet at my home. I brought the computer to a local repair shop and $112.50 later it was fixed. I assume you got rid of the malware BEFORE you replaced the hard drive. The second tech said the computer didn't associate windows with the hardware. Whoever put the hard drive in obviously didn't try connecting to the internet. read more
