The food is absolutely delicious! The customer service is amazing! The restaurant is so clean! The menu is great!

I tried out HTB in Danville and I thought it was ok. Got there early and wasn't too hungry because we had breakfast not that long ago. It's about 40 minutes from my place to here. Stuff we ordered: Spicy ahi tuna bowl - some small chunks of ahi tuna, rice, some greens, cucumbers, sauce, onions. $10.75. Tasted ok, not that special. shrimp taco - I thought it was pretty good. A few grilled shrimp, rice, avocado sauce, pico de gallo. $3.75. surf & turf bowl - lots of meat, some grilled shrimp, he got with lettuce instead of rice, sour cream, lots of black beans. He liked it fine. If I lived in the area I'd maybe go back to try the shrimp burrito. I didn't see any public bathroom. read more

6/25/22 Mixed bag here. First off, I think this is a fast-food chain, so it's quite remarkable that I will say: they have some extremely fantastic food here to the degree it's among the best I've ever had at any price point, anywhere, even compared to legit home-style or Meixcan-street Mexican restaurants!!! But, they also have some REALLY bad food here too... 1. Agua Fresca, Mango, Medium (24oz) $4.50: It's alright, if you like watered down unsweetened mango juice. 3/10 2. 3 Street Tacos "onions, cilantro, red chili & avocado-verde salsas, limes" 2a. Chicken $3.50: Edible. Not juicy but not cardboard either. 5.5/10 2b. Pork $3.50: OH GOD. So their pork is the GOOD SHT. We're talking crisped up chunks of mmmmmm-good-fat and lean parts. I HATE when places just use lean pork and dry the hell out of it. This is the legit stuff. 10/10 2c. Steak $4: Typical. Overcooked, but again, not cardboard. A little under seasoned. 4.5/10 3. Ahi Tuna Sushi Roll $13.50 "sushi rice, wasabi ginger sauce, arugula, avocado, pickled red onions, pickled daikon, cucumber, tobiko, tempura crunch":...... ............................it cannot be overstated.... how BAD this is. HORRIFIC. It was wrapped in paper, and the "burrito" was so sadly badly assembled that the squirting v-slit tore a slit all the way through the paper, juices flowing out. It was given to us cut in 1/2, so I gave one piece to my gf to eat with my kid, and as she opened the paper it immediately all spilled out. Didn't even bother trying to eat it with hands--got a fork immediately. So why bother even making it a burrito?????? I also thought the flavors were strange--I thought it was cilantro at the time, but reading the description I am going to guess it's the arugula that makes it taste bitter, herbal, and strange. Also, there is no "crunch" whatsoever. All a soggy mess. Owner please DOUBLE the amount of seaweed you use, both in layers and size. It is not nearly big enough to wrap your burrito. 1/10 (Fish and rice were fine, at least.) 4. Quesabirria Taco $6.50 "crispy corn tortilla taco stuffed with oaxaca cheese and homemade beef birria, served with consomme and lime":...... Before I get on with my commentary, I want to not I object to any use of "homemade" in menu descriptions. You telling me the cook made this at home and brought it to work to sell? No. At least not for a larger chain restaurant. Or are you saying that people are living here at the restaurant?--do laundry here? Don't abuse English, thanks. ....... alright...... ....................and then get this: BEST QUESABIRRIA I've had YET!!!!!!!!!! Where I live, this stuff is really trendy, so it's in many restaurants now, especially the more trendy and expensive places. Iv'e also had it out of legit home-style taco stands and food trucks. The whole gamut. .....and THIS ONE is THE BEST. It is absolutely spilling with juices--the good kind, not the kind from that v-hole tuna burrito. And there's a TON of that juicy, fatty, savory, and a little crisp pulled pork stuffed in there. And oh man... the CHEEEEESE.... sticky, stretchy, stringy..... and LOTS of it. The consume isn't as strongly flavored as some other places, but it's still quite good, and unlike most they actual put spices and herbs into it, all floating on top. Nice touch. Yeah man.... The Best Birria Taco I've had yet. 10/10 ....okay... so in conclusion: Eat anything pig here. This place is amazing, absolutely crushes all other restaurants of its caliber, much healthier and cleaner than chipotle as well as cheaper too. It dominates the healthy bowl game as well as the street tacos and burritos are very good as well. I would take this over any other to go Hispanic restaurant. read more

These burritos are delicious! I stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised for it being my first time here. I've heard about this place being good, and after trying it myself I get the hype! I had the Thai Peanut burrito. It's packed with flavor and a good enough size to fill me up. I'll be back to try the other versions soon for sure. read more

I've been going to this place for 20 years since I was a kid and have always loved it. Unfortunately I went in today and this kid was the cashier and was visibly upset that I had to call my wife to finish my order while I had my 2 year old son in my hand. After his glare and shaking his head I asked him if he was ok. He said yeah. I finish my order and he goes to the back to help with my order and starts laughing with his buddy another young guy and I was already concerned and I see him grab a clear baggy and put it on whatever food he was preparing. I bought a $9 burrito and paid by card. They make you fill out the tip before charging for pickup, which is fine I guess. I thought tipping was supposed to be for the waiters service, but apparently you gotta tip even when you pickup fast food now. This is fine, and I was happy to give a $1 tip on my $9 burrito, but the tip options are A. $3 B. $5 C. $7 D. Manual fill-in Really High Tech? I've seen High Tech Burrito all over the bay area but finally had the chance to try this location the other week. I was pleasantly surprised by the service and quality of food! I ordered one chicken and pork taco. At $2.55 each, it was a deal! I liked the pork slightly more than the chicken. The pork had really good flavor and a slight crust/char. I tried their nuclear salsa which was somewhat spicy but manageable. My wife ordered a burrito bowl with marinated tofu and a veggie taco - She liked both! Note: the online ordering did not work. Placed our order online and it errored out at the payment step. It appeared that the order went through because the message said to pay in person. Unfortunately, when I arrived at the restaurant, the order was not transmitted over. I also wish there was salsa bar. It's $3 for chips/salsa. High Tech has really upped their game. The place is so clean and I really like that, especially now. The customer service is good and so is the quality of ingredients. I ordered the Thai burrito with grilled chicken and is was a nice change of pace with a lot of flavor. Things just feel different here and that's a good thing. I had the Thai Peanut Bowl with their plant based protein and it was delicious, very filling, and reasonably priced. My husband had the Build Your Own Burrito and he was very happy with it. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating and the place is very clean and spacious. I can't wait to try some of their other options! read more

Probably the best Mexican food we've ever had since we've moved to the US. We were so hungry and tried to order online, but there was some sort of system error and the order didn't get through. So we went into to order, but the communication was difficult with face masks snd loud food preparation noise in the background. Not very helpful when one is too hungry and cranky :P but the person who took the order handled it really well, we could sort out miscommunication and everything was good in the end. He was very polite, friendly and professional. Food was done like in 5min, and we thought it'd be greasy and salty as this type of food often is, but to our surprise, everything tasted so good, fresh and just enough salt. Perfect. I just tried high tech burrito recently and was surprised by how good it was. The menu is so vast that I was skeptical at first but the food was really good and made to order. I tried the quesobirra tacos and they were phenomenal. The shrimp burrito was also really good, the shrimp was very flavorful. The street tacos are also a must have. The customer service is really good and they are quick to get your food out. You can dine in or take it to go. They do have seating inside and the Blackhawk location has seating outside as part of the shopping center. I recommend eating here if you are looking for Mexican food in the Danville area. read more

HTB has been around for over 25 years. I used to eat here frequently years ago, but I stopped going since I noticed a big decrease in quality and an increase in prices. I heard it got much better recently, so I decided to give it another shot. I was pleasantly surprised. The food quality, portion sizes and prices were good. I've been ordering the bowls and I like them better than Chipotle. I'm glad that they are in the neighborhood, because there aren't that many good food options around here. read more

I do feel it can be pricy for what you get, especially the chips and salsa (a little disappointing) but I feel the burritos are consistent and I enjoy them each time I order! Very convenient location in a shopping center that contains lots of parking. Newly renovated, this location is very clean, friendly, and modern. I believe they have even added poki/sushi burritos! My personal favorite is the surf n turf burrito, which has shrimp as well as steak. I also really enjoy the ittie bittie chicken, which is a kid sized burrito with just chicken rice and cheese.
