What.a.joke. Polish selection is of the dollar store variety (like the ones you pay $1 for smh, not the $1+ stuff).
We were seated in the pedicure chairs immediately and offered some $7 powder which, once added to the plain water in the foot pool, was "guaranteed" to make our feet soft. $7 for some damn 5¢ powder? Stop it. To make matters worse it was almost in the water before we could even understand wtf they were saying. No.
There was no verbal communication between the woman doing my pedicure and me whatsoever during my service. Not to ask what shape I wanted for my toenails, if I wanted my nails shaved down w the electric file used for acrylics (umm, no), nor to ask if I wanted her to use the hideous cheese grating looking thing to shave skin off of my feet (#yuck). She didn't even make eye contact and attempt sign language. Wtf? Another sign this is not the spot.
Wait. She did ask "manicure?", "eyebrow?". I wouldn't have let them perform another thing on me if they paid me. I almost walked out w/o polish because I just wanted to leave.
The job was very rushed. Unsettling. Imperfect.
The staff yapped and cackled the entire time. I don't go to the nail salon for that. It's one thing to have to listen to the obnoxious patron's loud conversation about the latest drama in her life. But, that's a bit out of everyone's hands. The staff could at least do their part to maintain a quiet, calming environment, no? No. Not getting it at this place.
It was cheap and as the saying goes "you get what you pay for". Their cheap wasn't cheap enough. They should have paid me to practice (or whatever it was) because there wasn't anything professional about it. At all.
I would not recommend this place. read more
