She took no accountability. With 6 days till the wedding, I took the dress to Laundry Day who I have used since I moved to Denver. The owners were kind and compassionate. They calmed me down, confirmed the stain was oil and would have the gown ready in 3 days for pick up. I burst out crying. When I told them I was so angry with the seamstress from the other store, they encouraged me to let that go and focus on the wedding. I burst out crying again.

In April, I took my…read more20-year old red patent leather pumps to get new soles because the old ones were crumbling off. I chose to go here because of the good cobbler reviews and the location was convenient. I picked them up 5 days later and when I got home saw that significant damage had been done to the uppers of my shoes and the soles that had been applied were already coming off and were smeared onto the bottom of the shoe. Even the heel caps were unsecured. The damage to my shoes had been covered in red shoe polish, which came off when I touched it. I was devastated. These shoes were a gift from my husband early in our relationship and are my favorite. They are not replaceable and have high sentimental value. I called the store and they did acknowledge that they knew something had happened to the shoes, but didn't tell me. They gave me the cobbler's information and I left him a message. When we talked on the phone he said he had sanded the upper because it had gotten some of the old sole on it and then covered it up with the polish. He said he could make it right. I went back to the store and talked to the cobbler in person. At this point, I didn't have a lot of trust in his judgment given that he didn't fix the original damage when it happened and didn't tell me what had happened. After a bit of back and forth, I asked for a refund. He said the owner would cut me a check. I also asked for compensation for fixing and/or replacing my shoes, but he insisted he could fix it. Given the lack of judgment and lack of honesty and accountability, I refused. I had to follow up with The Cleaners twice about the refund check only to find out that they had directly credited my original form of payment, but no one communicated with me about any of it. I ended up taking the damaged shoes to Dardano's in the hopes that they could repair the damage and they were amazing. I should have gone there in the first place (they were appalled at what had happened to my shoes). I cannot recommend Frank the cobbler here at The Cleaners and suggest extreme caution depending on what you need.

I've been coming here consistently for over three years, and after seeing some of the other…read morereviews, I genuinely felt like I needed to share my experience because it has been completely different. I trust her with everything -- and I mean everything. I regularly bring in designer and luxury pieces from Miu Miu, Prada, Chanel, and other high-end brands, including a Maria Lucia Hohan dress that cost over $4,000. I would not hand those pieces over to someone I didn't completely trust. Every time, my clothing has come back beautifully cared for. The same goes for my more everyday pieces from places like Zara and Reformation. I also regularly wear spray tans, so I have unfortunately brought in more than a few pieces with pretty significant staining. She has always been completely upfront with me about what she thinks she can remove, whether something may not come out 100%, or whether she needs additional time to work on it. I really appreciate that honesty rather than someone promising something they can't guarantee. And it's not just dry cleaning. I bring my expensive bedding here, and I've had her do alterations on dresses, skirts, curtains -- honestly, at this point, just about everything. After more than three years and countless items, I have continued coming back because I trust her and have consistently had a great experience. I send my friends here and recommend her all the time. When you're handing someone clothing, dresses, and household items that are genuinely expensive or sentimental, trust matters, and she has absolutely earned mine.
