I have an expensive renaissance costume made of velvet and satin, I've taken it in to this cleaner and it comes back looking just like it did when I took it in, just a little less dusty, which I could take of with a vacuum cleaner, but they are not clean and the stink of sweat is still on them. The shirts that go with it are Cotten with satin sleeves and they can't seem to get the sleeves ironed out correctly. I wash them before I take them in, but still want them dried clean and pressed. I took in a suit and needed it back in 2 days, they said no problem, I went in at the end of the 2nd day and they hadn't even started on it. Told me to come back in a couple of hours and it would be done. It was, but again not done very well. Will never go back again. read more

Very nice woman at the counter and good job on the dry cleaning and laundered shirts, BUT... 1) They unfortunately have a dishonest practice: I was charged $4 extra because she thought I wouldn't notice or care. If she thinks you won't notice, she adds extra charges to the (non-itemized) bill. When asked about it, she says it was $1.00 each for stains. But....she didn't say anything about the stains when I gave her the clothing, and it was a quick transaction, so how could she have noticed? 2) Asking customers to pay in advance. I don't like it. 3) Charging $6.25 per item for dry cleaning is...too much. I live in a big city on the East Coast and I don't have to pay this much. 4) They are bogusly slow in their clothes-are-ready times. Put in Tuesday and the clothes will be ready....Friday (in the single hour between 4-5 when they close). So they are really giving you the clothes on Saturday. The clothes are very well done, but.....buyer beware. read more

I just picked up 2 suits, 2 dress shirts, and 3 pairs of jeans. the person at the desk apologized for not calling me to inform me about a stain they believed was on one of my dress shirts when I brought it in. then she proceeded to tell me she didn't want to argue about how the stain got on my shirt. I had recently purchased two pairs of dress pants and I had mistakenly read the size for the waistline. I thought it was all over and thought that I would have to repurchase them. I was out of luck because I was unable to return them. But my luck turned right around when I took those two pairs here! Given the Labor Day Holiday I would have to wait just a day or so longer, but I'll tell you what it was well worth it!! I have fallen in love with my selections all over again...The best part is that you can't even tell they were altered in anyway! This place will work a gem out of a rock...It was even priced fairly. Has anyone noticed that half the reviews here are from people out of state? I live in Aurora and took a knee-length wool coat and a mid-calf length wool skirt to Kim's based on the positive Yelp reviews. They tried to charge me $36.00 (not a typo THIRTY SIX DOLLARS!) for dry cleaning those two (2) items! I think that's outrageous. No wonder they asked me if I wanted to pay ahead of time (which seemed odd). I'm glad I said No. I wound up leaving my two items of clothing there because I'm not going to pay that ridiculous charge--I've got other coats and skirts. But the whole experience was aggravating enough that I'm writing this bad review even though I hate writing bad reviews. I recommend you take your clothes somewhere else, unless you've got money and time to burn. read more

My wedding dress was incredibly muddy from our Hawaii wedding, so I brought it in to get dry cleaned knowing that it might not get completely clean again. It was almost laughable how dirty the bottom of my dress was. HOWEVER, Kim's Cleaner was able to work a miracle and got my entire dress beautifully ivory again! And the Yelp first time check-in discount knocked off 25%, so that was nice. I had also brought my husband's suit (splattered with a bit of mud) and it looked brand new when we picked it up.
