Second time going here and I will NEVER again! I asked the lash tech if she knew what she was doing and she definitely did NOT. She used so much lash glue my skin was so tight and she even glued my lashes downwards! I had to get my lashes medically removed that's how bad it was. I went to give them a second chance with my nails two days ago. I showed him the picture of the shape I wanted and I asked him if he could do it he said yes. After he applied the nails he asked me if I like it i said no but he kept going. Not only that but he smelt like cigarettes to high hell!! This was my first and last time at high class nails. There is nothing high class about it. The place is extremely dirty and the equipment looks old and unsanitary. They had a bunch of jars with water and like buffers just sitting in the jars. She had a packet of unopened sterilized tools at the station we are sitting, but didn't even open it, instead she used some unopened ones that looked used. Everything has dust or grime on it so hopefully I won't lose a finger. My manicure came out extremely uneven. All my nails are different lengths. Another manicurist had to fix the botch job. I'm new to the area and did a lot of research before picking a salon. I looked on google and Andy had tons of reviews!!!! He was gentle, didn't burn or cut me and along the steps he would ask if I wanted any modifications. Each time I said no because he did a fantastic job!!! I am that annoying picky person and waited to see how my nails did a few days after getting them done before leaving a review. No bumps, bubbles or un-smooth edges by the cuticles to where it snags your hair! My nails are perfect!!! Plus I have wide ugly nail beds but Andy made them beautiful. I also got a Volcano pedicure which is more of an expensive pedicure and it was well worth it without knowing how the tech would do!!!!! Honestly after 15 years of pedicures he one of the best jobs!!!!!! I wish I would have gotten his name!!! I did not say that you were a bad tech and your work was horrible and by the way I traveled about 25 miles so yes your work is good. This was my first time here and will be my last. I went in for a gel manicure and gel pedicure. The gentleman in the front suggested I get the solar pink and white, so I decided to try it. The manicure is so ugly I want to go home and soak them off. The manicurist who worked on me was rough and painful. She kept digging her nails into my cuticles. The pedicure was even worse. Let me be the first to say, you will NOT be disappointed. I went into the salon on a whim, as my regular salon was closed, to get a shellac manicure (& ended up learning that it had just became under new management the day before). So, I have always been a very simple polish/shellac manicure girl and had tried powder 3 separate times throughout 10 years, at 3 separate salons, and never went back. Today, I was feeling great vibes from the newly managed family salon, Peter specifically, so I went for the powder manicure...& I will never look back. I told Peter how I am low maintenance, like short/simple but very clean looking nail type girl & he achieved that & more!! Some may say I am picky but I know what I like and he listened to it all knowing I was a tough critic (jokingly for the most part). HE DID AMAZING! Find a different place! I got a pedi and full set acrylic. I had to go back 2 days later because one of my nails already broke. A week later my toe nail polish which usually lasts weeks has already chipped. They had incense going which made me sick to my stomach, girl doing my pedi seemed as if she had no clue what she was doing and the lady putting on my full set cut 3 of my fingers by the cuticle line while using her nail file. My supervisor recommended High Class. Everyone is extremely nice to me. The only manicurist I use is Lim. She's very good, patient and she has good taste in style for me. I have never had to wait a long time. If there is a wait they have been honest, and told me so I normally decide to come back at another time. I had the worst experience with ANDY! I showed him a simple nail pic & he insisted I go else where because they did not have the exact color. I informed him that it didn't have to be the same color just something similar. Once he began he started off extremely rough. In the process of doing so a lady called who stated she had gotten a eyebrow wax was burned. After he got off the phone with her he continued to me & began to become more aggressive as if I was the one whom pissed him off. After putting the acrylic on my nails & shaping my right hand I noticed my squared shape was not squared & I let him know. He tried to argue with me. So he kept filing my nails which became more & more shorter. After becoming super short I told him I didn't like my nails & I wanted them OFF. He aggressively took the nails off. I don't get my nails done often, but I'm pretty sure this isn't right. I went to get my nails done with my family and was really disappointed. I'll do a pros and cons list of how it went: Pros: -new -well kept -friendly staff Cons: -got nail polish all over my fingers and cuticles -saw they made a mistake and didn't want to fix it -my nail polish came off the day after -asked for a simple leaf on one finger and it looked like a blob with spikes (I told them to take it off) -cousin asked for lines and they were super crooked (one looked like a lightning bolt) -cousin asked for zig zags and they were just M's that were also super crooked -they cut my nails crooked I wish I could've attached a photo for reference, but my nail polish is already gone. Typically I'm a go back and make you correct your work person because I HATE to spend my money and don't receive the service I expect but in this case I am better to go back to a place who takes their time and does quality work. I would not suggest this salon at all. After waiting for 15 minutes I got a fill for my full set. The man doing my nails was so rough with filing and drilling that I left with TWO fingers bleeding. My pinky is actually raw from where he filed ON my skin. He didn't apologize to me. He just put antiseptic on it which burned extremely bad. It was a small shop and nothing special about it at all. Went here for a set of acrylics, some of them were applied crooked! Also, the general shape is funky and not even. Which may be due to the fact the main older women was rushing. I really like this place. Their service is great and the people that work there are extremely nice. I've been getting my nails done here for a year and I love the way they always turn out every time. Okay I want to start this with an apology because it's going to be a rant. I went here Friday night as a last second decision to get my nails done. I usually go to a place I love (VIP Nail Salon and Spa, amazing) but I was in the area so I stopped in. I just got a basic manicure and polish change and let me tell you it was the worst manicure I've ever received. First of all, the woman who did my manicure was clearly in a rush and paid no mind to take her time or be gentle at all. I had on glitter polish left over from prom and all the lady did to try to remove them was barely wet some cotton with acetone and barley rub my nail. She became very clearly frustrated after only like 10 seconds of effort. She them pulled out a NAIL FILE and proceeded to sand paper the polish off my finger. This completely ruined the dexterity of my nails and left them scratched and thin. She also left an area of my thumb completely raw in the process. To avoid this happening again I sat there and picked all the glitter nail polish off my other hand myself while she watched and waited. She took no time in painting my nails at all and the manicure came out very sub par; brush strokes, polish on skin, no polish on the sides, etc. I know being a manicurist is a hard job and I try not to be picky but this woman clearly was just trying to get it over with and get me out the door. Walked in and it was deserted, which had me worried also but I went in and got my eyebrows and lip waxed for $14. Not only did she wax them but she also went over them with tweezers and threaded them!! I went here Saturday morning. I felt the people were very rude not welcoming at all. I do like my nails but customer service is everything and they just dont have great customer service skills. I never felt like I have been racially profiled in my life until I got there. Even another customer that was white noticed it. There was another younger black girl there and she was treated the same way. I have no problem with any race and I didn't think race still mattered these days. No matter what color we are the money is still green and it spends the same way. I gave a star because I couldn't continue without selecting one but I dont think 1 star is deserving at all. DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS FROM THIS PLACE !!!! So what do you get an 85 year old lady that has everything? A gift card for a pedicure! My sister bought my Mom 2 gift cards for a pedicure from High Class Nails this past Christmas because Mom can no longer bend over to trim her nails and the massage they give her legs, feels good because she is diabetic - A Win, Win. So I took her on Sunday and was going to make a day of it with her & I both getting Pedi's. I told the girl at the front that my Mother had two gift cards that my sister bought this past Christmas and she told me they could not honor them because they were under new management. I told her but you have kept the same name & its as if someone had bought the Target stores & kept their name, you would expect them to honor Target gift cards. She told us we would have to wait for the owner to arrive, so we waited 20 minutes. The owner got there and there was flurry of back & forth conversation in their language. She came back and said that the owner would give us a half price on our nails. So by now the whole salon is listening to this conversation and one brave lady speaks up and says the only right thing is for them honor those gift cards but to keep the peace, I agree to their offer. We both just got the basic pedicure and believe me it was basic, very basic. As we were sitting there getting our pedicures, the owner proceeds to photograph us with her cellphone. I don't know what that was about but I was fuming by then. We could not get out of there fast enough and rest assured, I will never take my Mother back to that place and subject her to that kind of treatment.
