And no, they didn't tell me they couldn't meet my expectations when I sent that Email. I still have their Emailed response -- "It's beautiful!" Yes, what I wanted was. What I got wasn't. Do you see the close-up of that fireplace? One of the fake rocks had been given one last smear with three fingers when it had begun to harden. They used that piece on the front of the fireplace hearth. Unbelievable, but true. Then they wouldn't fix it. They said there were "variations" in real rock. But this is manufactured rock, so they could have gotten the colors and shapes right -- and culled out the pieces of low quality. I could give you other examples of problems with communications and quality. I chose this example because I'd even given them a PICTURE and they didn't get it right. Not only that, but the quality is appalling. And this, as the centerpiece of a house that cost over $300,000! No, I can't recommend them.

But this experience was far from professional. There were so many issues, it would be too long of a review to list them all but I'll list some of the terrible highlights. *Poor management/supervision *Terrible process and attention to detail *Prep work was shoddy *Workers left the job site dirty each day and ruined a piece of our brand new carpet *No regard for the fact that we were living and working from the space (the job took 7 days, unnecessarily). *Skill level of workers was mediocre at best *Communication and language deficits *Several times each day we had to do quality control due to dripping paint, missed spots, wrong sheen of paint, using the incorrect color in places---we only had 3 colors. *Misuse of caulk in a large area that needed to be repaired by a professional drywaller. *We paid almost 11k for the work and it wasn't even worth half of that with the quality we got. They gave us a 1.5% discount for "inconveniences"

The walls at bottom are not even. There is a lot of sticky residue on railings, particularly the upper area. The window at the top of the stairs has white primer smeared around edges. This has not been an easy project based on both your estimate of paper needed (grossly miscalculated) and the incredibly poor job the subs did on wall prep.

I wrote back to all 3 but only one was responsive enough to make me happy. And I'm not hard to please, I only ask for same day response. Elias Handyman Services was very responsive. We came to an agreement on the job that I needed done and the price, same day. I needed my storage unit in the basement of my condo cleaned out because the HOA is doing plumbing work. On Tuesday, a very nice, soft spoken young man named Luz arrived right on time. I went over with him what stays and what goes. I also let him know that my neighbor Wes has more authority than I do about what is garbage. I told him to feel free to text me a pic if he's not sure. He did a very good job and I went down to the basement to tip him $20 but he was gone. Paying was easy with Zelle. I have only positive things to say about my experience with Elias Handyman Services. 2022 - Review # 36

This wasn't a pre-fab or generic solution, it feels custom and well thought out. The installation was clean and professional. Posts are perfectly set, the structure is solid, and the attention to detail really shows. Everything feels sturdy, intentional, and built to last. This pergola completely transformed our outdoor space and turned an unused area into a functional and inviting gathering spot. Communication was easy throughout the project, and it's clear Martin takes pride in his work. Highly recommend TGR and would absolutely use them again for future projects.

This is a mixed review since there is good and bad to mention. I contracted with this company to…read morereplace my siding and double decks. This wasn't the lowest priced bid, yet it also wasn't the outrageously high quotes I received from other companies. I was very excited to finally get this work done. At the same time I was working with TGR, I was also contracted with a roofing company, a painter, and a gate company. In the end, the only company I had problems with was TGR Construction Co. There are things I wasn't prepared for in this process, such as my pictures falling off the walls during the siding tear off or the cracks in the ceiling and walls created with the tear off, of which they tried to tell me all these NEW cracks (I live in this home) are due to normal settling of my home and said all houses settle with time and this is normal and not due to the siding job. I know it's not a coincidence these new and sudden 'settling' cracks appeared with the siding work. They broke through the ceiling upstairs and they did own up to this, maybe because it's hard to justify 'normal' settling with sudden stucco all over the floor. There were structural issues that arose during the project, at nobody's fault, that ended up costing me $11K more than my contract. Then I was also charged $4900 more to remove windows and have them reset. Btw, three other companies included the window removal and reset in their contract. It was considered standard for other companies. After the siding and decks were done, I was left with HVAC refrigerant lines on the ground and blocking doors and windows for my tenants, wires dangling under the deck staircase, the Radon remediation system wasn't reattached correctly and sparked scaring a HVAC technician and me, a deck rail was reset too low, refrigerant line covers were accidentally thrown out, and my daughter and I each did double sweeps for nails left behind when work was done. It took almost two months of asking for them to resolve these unresolved issues before some things were finally done. Jan 20th, three months after the crew left, I finally had the last unresolved issue handled. As a consumer, when I contract with a company, I expect to have the job done right without unnecessary stress. That did not happen here. On the POSITIVE, the crew is hardworking and really nice guys. The siding and double decks look great now. My home underwent a metamorphosis and is now beautiful and I receive compliments. I had crappy, rotting decks replaced with sturdy decks. This is the only reason I give a 2 rating instead of lower. All the mishaps, repair delays, and stood up appointments made this extremely frustrating and stressful. Could I have achieved my desired results without the frustration? I'm sure I could have with a different company. Buyer beware! Educate yourself on all steps that need to be in your contract. Make sure the removal of your windows for proper flashing is in the contract. I know A LOT of people and all my other contractors received more jobs through my recommendations. I know currently four people who are looking for a recommendation for siding, yet I can't recommend TGR Construction.

Included were a 14' section of cedar fence, a 4'x8' fenced enclosure with two gates for trash and recycling bins, and a 4'x9' garden shed with two doors under the eaves. Rod worked carefully to complete quality work in a timely manner for a reasonable cost. He also kept a clean work area and removed trash following the project. We enjoyed working with him and liked the quality and cost of his work, so, this past spring and summer (2023), we hired him again to complete some larger remodeling projects at our home. These mostly revolved around work in a 10'x15' sunroom that had some problems. The work included removal of a large exterior bay window; reinstallation of the primary window in line with the house siding including trim and caulking; demolition of interior paneling, sheetrock, and trim; insulating walls; sheetrocking walls and ceiling; trimming out doors, windows, and floor; adding caulk, texture, and primer; painting walls, ceiling, and trim; laying engineered wood flooring in the sunroom; laying and trimming out LVT flooring in our entryway and closet; and repainting the house's exterior, including several small repair projects prior to painting. Again, Rod completed all of this work carefully and in a quality manner, and he kept his interior and exterior work areas clean, and removed all construction debris. He regularly consulted us when decisions were needed and also provided some valuable suggestions. He has an easy-going personality, is a joy to work with, and a pleasure to have around the house. We would not hesitate to hire him again for future projects of this nature and have already recommended him to others in need of construction or remodeling work.

Rod dug out the old footings and dug down to solid clay then repoured footings for new posts. He did an excellent job with the concrete work and new posts. Solutions to issues that arose, he imaginatively addressed. We are looking forward to having Rod do some more work for us in the near future. We feel that we got excellent value for our investment with 2 Rivers Construction Services.

As you can see from the "before" picture of our project, it was pretty much a blank canvas at the start. We knew kind of what we wanted, but that's about it. I enjoyed working with Randy from the start. Communication is the KEY to success on projects and I commend him for his emails and texts. I knew when he was going to arrive and when there were any issues. He was so incredibly patient with us as well, as we were deciding some of the materials as the job was progressing. He and his team were consummate professionals from start to finish. The photos not posted, of the very, very wet and cold days would show the tented areas and the mud. I felt like I wanted to apologize every day. There were a couple changes I made mid-project and Randy was awesome about just making it happen - and quickly! I'm not sure I've seen someone work harder and have such talent in their craft. He knew things only decades of experience teach you. In closing, I would just say that anyone I come across that needs any type of stone or masonry work done will be getting referred to Oregon Brick. We just could not be more pleased with every aspect of this project. Again - thank you Randy and crew!!
