    Food was incredible! I had the pork sisig, and the pork lumpia. I was more than impressed. Customer service is a 10/10 as well. Irene knew the menu well and was so kind to us. Thank you HiFi!

    HiFi Kitchen is one of those spots putting Filipino food on the map! This spot is located in the heart of Historic Filipinotown and street parking will be your best bet. They have about 3-4 tables for seating outside and a table and bar seating inside. As for their menu, this spot is serving up some delicious Filipino inspired rice bowls, tacos, and breakfast silogs. Wifey and I stopped by for lunch and got a spread of the La'ing Potato Taco, Talib Kawali Rice Bowl, Silog Fries with Tapa, and a Pandan Horchata to wash it all down. Everything we had was delicious with comforting yet unique flavors. Overall, I would definitely put this spot on your list if you are visiting or nearby Historic Filipinotown. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Don't forget to check out some of the cool local Filipino creators and their merch inside the shop too. Shoutout to the Filipino fam!

    HiFi Kitchen put a unique spin to classic dishes. I visited on a Saturday afternoon, and the store was mostly empty. I was immediately able to order and find a table inside. The service was efficient: my food arrived shortly after I sat down. I really liked the environment of the store: there was merch for sale by Filipino-owned businesses. I tried the HiFi tacos, described as having Angeleno-inspired Filipino flavors. I got two tacos: one chicken adobo, one tocino pastor. Both tacos were so delicious! I really enjoyed both tacos' seasonings and garnishings. I will note that the chicken adobo was cold when served, which was a bit disappointing. However, I would absolutely try these tacos again because the flavors were phenomenal. I also got an order of pork lumpia. The lumpia were so crispy and warm, packed with flavor and paired with a sweet chili sauce. I really enjoyed the bite-sized pieces because every piece had a perfect crunch to it. I cannot wait to visit again and try some other dishes! I have my eye on the breakfast silog, la'ing, and talib kawali.

    I had the pork/lechón rice bowl, and it was AMAHZING! The pork was crispy, but the fat stayed gooey. The sunny side up egg was great. Sprinkle of pickled veggies added a different flavor to each spoonful. Service was friendly. Resto was neat. Happy I went for the first, and looking forward to taking others.

    This place has such a great retro vibe. They sell merch inside and it's really kinda of a cool spot. I ordered the crispy pork belly plate and pork lumpia for takeout lunch and the guy at the counter was super helpful and answered my questions and even gave me suggestions. The pork lumpia was delicious! Crispy on the outside and super juicy and flavorful on the inside, plus the dipping sauce was perfect. The crispy pork belly plate is what I wasn't a huge fan of and maybe it's just because I'm not too familiar with this Filipino dish, but it was really extra EXTRA crispy. Like honestly the crispy skin almost chipped my tooth. The sauce for the pork was really vinegar forward and there was pickled veggies also very vinegar forward and the egg had no salt or flavor at all. This plate confused me a little bit. Plus there's no parking here so I had to park down the street a little ways away. Maybe next time I'll try their most popular dish to get a better sense of their food,

    Pop-up dinner place vibe offering great lunch bowls. Ordered La'ing with crispy pork at $18 and a cantaloop drink for $6. The crispy pork is amazing. It's crispy but not tough at all. With buttery fats that can make chinese style crispy pork or korean samgyeopsal proud. The la'ing itself is proof that vegan food doesn't have to be bland. It can be rich and satisfying. Top it off with the perfect summer drink, the cantaloop thingy, then you have a nice and wholesome lunch. The pricing is a bit on the premium side but the quality reflects the price tag.

    Okay this place is Filipino approved! The exterior and interior of the small restaurant is very cute and I love all the little knickknacks they have around the restaurant. They also have a variety of Filipino-themed merchandise that is tempting to buy! The staff were also really nice too, very pattern while I was ordering and went out of their way to seek out the prices of the merchandise I was inquiring about. As for the food, it was pretty good and at cheap prices. I Loved the crispy pork lechon and garlic rice. I was skeptical of the cantaloupe drink since it looked very clear, but it was actually pretty flavorful! Also love that they have a decent amount of veggies that come with the meals. I would've liked if the chocolate champorado was sweeter though.

    Still been trying to find good Filipino cuisine here in LA and this is definitely one of the places I would recommend! We were welcomed with really friendly staff and the vibes in the restaurant were very homey. I enjoyed that they sold other trinkets like Filipino books, candles, clothes, and much more! Although we were looking for traditional pork sisig, the veggie sisig was pretty good and the adobo had great sabao (soup). My only thing is that I wish they had more selection like Kare Kare, Pork Sisig, Arroz caldo, and other classics! They do have taco Tuesday so I think I definitely need to come back and try that! Overall, HiFi is a spot I could see myself coming back to :)

    This place has such a cool atmosphere, I highly recommend for an authentic Filipino Angeleno experience. I really appreciated the smiling and friendly staff, and my menu questions were answered so sweetly. I had the Talib Kawali crispy pork bowl with an Asian fusion chimichurri, and the sear and texture on the pork was very impressive. I'm a big fan of Talib Kweli the rapper, so this dish gets extra points for lending even more hip hop branding to the mix. There's also a HiFi record player that spins the payment tablet toward you when you pay at the counter, nice touch! I'm an Asian American creative, so I really appreciated all the thoughtful nods of culture and music in the menu and design.

    Lechon kawali is hard to do well and this exceeded my expectations! The pork has that super crunch exterior and fatty/perfectly salted meat ratio. After getting past that crunch, the pork is so juicy. I subbed the rice for garlic rice and this came with some pico, atchara, and a chimichurri (more on the vinegar side). A must try and a quick fix for some Filipino food! I felt so at home here and the workers were so kind.

    First timer This food was so delicious.... Every dish we ordered and the Ube pie. Beef Tapa, veggie sisig, lumpia and they did us a special pancit. You gotta try it !

They offered a fresh, inventive fusion of the flavours of the Philippines with modern sophistication. Nestled in the vibrant heart of Los Angeles' Silver Lake neighbourhood, Spoon & Pork was a cozy boutique eatery on bustling Sunset Boulevard that greeted guests with a neon pig sign at their front entrance. No private lot on this busy street, so finding nearby parking was a bit challenging and although the charming spot offered both indoor and al fresco dining, seating was also limited. The tropical-inspired dining room with warm wood accents created an effortlessly cool and relaxed atmosphere that felt both modern and rooted in tradition. Upon entry, guests were welcomed by the aroma of sizzling meats and fragrant spices which alluded to the culinary journeys to come. The food at Spoon & Pork wasn't exactly what one's nanay (mom) or lola (grandma) would cook. It's self service where you go in line to pick your skewers, pay, then grill them to your liking outside. Each skewer is about $2 each. Not only do they sell skewers but almost everything I could think of: mango with bagoong, fruit salad, buko pandan, turon, carioca, gulaman, fish ball (the ones you would get from the street cart in the PH), and a lot more! The service is also amazing. Waiting in line and eating outside, their social media manager goes around talking to people on a mic and making sure everyone is having a good time. At checkout, they are happy to help you and grab anything you need. They also have people outside monitoring the grill and stepping in if you need help or the stick accidentally catches on fire. Just the feeling of sitting outside surrounded by Filipinos and Filipino food lovers and eating food from our childhood, just made me and my group feel so nice. There was only one other group of diners while we were there. A family of 4 who were seated in the back room. We ended up being seated in the area facing Fountain. My first comment was how I felt like I was at my Lola's house because the decor was giving Lola vibes, in the best way. I felt like I was home. My friend got the laing meal and I got the tocino. We also got a side order of the sweet & spicy longanisa. Broooooooooooooo That food was wow. I'm gonna say it again - it tasted like home. Down to the fixins on the table like vinegar and suchas. I appreciated all the little touches. We ate so much yet still had so much leftovers. Their portion size was crazy. We would've been good with just one meal and another protein a la carte. We also got a small bowl of their arroz caldo. Let me tell you something, a single tear legit went down my left cheek. That tasted like what my mom made for me when she was still with us. The memories that came flooding back took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. We did order their famous empanada that never came. We had to remind our server that he never dropped it off. I'm not sure why he didn't double check if we still wanted them which we did. We would've obviously paid for them. Despite that they're getting all the stars from me because the food was fire and their drinks were 10/10. I got the Maria Clara. They also allow two free refills so that's a double win. I'm about to pull up every weekend. Take all my monies.

    Tried this place for the first time with friends earlier today. I ordered Sinigang na Bangus…read more(Milkfish) with garlic rice and I thought it was really good. I felt comforted by the sourness of the Sinigang soup after feeling stressed about my final exam. My friends ordered Tapsilog and Tocilog (tapa and tocino with garlic fried rice) and I was able to try them. The tapa was alright, but the tocino was very delicious. I liked how the tocino wasn't fatty at all. I would recommend the Sinigang and Tocilog to other friends/my family. The service was great. Our server was nice and accommodated us quickly when we needed something. The wait time for the food we ordered wasn't so bad. I also liked the ambiance of the restaurant because it felt like I was inside a family friend's house, which was unique to me. The food is a little on the pricier side for Filipino food, but overall I had a great experience dining here.
