My husband and I recently visited Hideout 125. Our waitress was Tori. She was very informative about the menu and the questions we asked. She was professional and gave us excellent service! I had the scallops which were fabulous! read more

Definitely one of our favorites. Great drinks, atmosphere and food. Service is always top-notch.

One of the best restaurants in Fort Wayne, hands down. We've never had a bad meal here. Some of our favorites are the charcuterie appetizer, the filet that comes with asparagus and mashed potatoes and is always perfectly cooked, the spinach salad with peach, bacon bleu cheese, red onion, pecan and an amazing vinagrette dressing, the cheeseburger, and the french onion soup. The restaurant has a great vibe for a quiet date night or for cocktails with friends, and the service is as good as the food. read more

Classy abs comfortable atmosphere. Great food and awesome staff. The old fashioned is delicious. The menu has great options

The food was good, the service was VERY good and the atmosphere was cool. I was very much impressed by the great service and the waiter we had was very nice and took the time to explain anything I had questions about since I haven't been there before. My only real complaint was the menu, there weren't too many options. What I mean is they have basically 2 food sections. The Small plates area which are kind of appetizers and then the Large plates section which are the main course. The large plate section only had maybe a dozen different options and they were all some form of a piece of meat and then some sides. I got the NY Strip bc that seamed like really the only viable option. It came with some kind of potatoe thing and some very different broccoli I have never seen before. The broccoli was very good but it just looked odd bc it wasn't the short stocks u normally see, they were long skinny stocks that almost looked like asparagus. All in all it was a good place to eat but not really something I would go back to. Also make sure u bring a FULL wallet bc it is pretty expensive. We had 2 meals with 1 beer each and no appetizers and it still cost $70 read more

Great drinks, fantastic service, and a unique atmosphere. Their drink menu is substantial.

Edit: After trying the options in the northeast of Fort Wayne, Hideout is my number one restaurant for many reasons. Best ribeye in town and cocktails were excellent. The last time I was there it was a disaster. Nothing was right and I know it had to be an off day. Still, it was not cheap, but will give them another try. You should too. Next time it has to be great again. read more

I love the food and atmosphere! You will feel like family and the menu is well thought-out and always fantastic! The wine list is extensive and the bar fully stocked. We brought our 12 year old daughter and she was treated like a princess! read more

Great atmosphere to enjoy a custom cocktail, tasty appetizers, and delicious main courses...we usually sit at the bar, banter with the bartender, and order an appetizer...Sherman is a great host, and always makes you feel like your a special guest. Stop by and give it a try! read more

My wife and I went there for our 5th year anniversary last Saturday. We had reservations at 6 and our table was ready when we arrived at 5:54. My wife tried the Spicy taco soup and I had the house salad - both were great. My wife ordered the filet and I decided on the ribeye. We were extremely impressed with both steaks. The only downside of our visit was that our sides were below average. We both had the garlic whipped potatoes and I also had the fingerling potatoes. I wouldn't order the fingerling potatoes for my worst enemy. However, the server gave us a free anniversary dessert which we chose the Creme Brûlée.. incredible. The drinks were great as well. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in great dinner. read more

Hideout 125 was a very pleasant surprise in suburban Ft. Wayne! I was in town with my daughter for a medical procedure at DuPont Hospital. We didn't expect to find anything other than chain restaurants in the area. But Hideout125 got good reviews, so we decided to give it a try. Since it was just the two of us, we elected to sit at the bar. It was a good crowd for a Thursday night. First, I'd like to recognize our server who couldn't have been any cuter or more helpful. Everything we asked of her, she accommodated with a smile. And it was her first week on the job! And secondly, the food was above par for this type of suburban strip mall kind of joint. We started with the charcuterie board which was downright respectable. My daughter had the roasted chicken with roast potatoes in place of rice. I had the French onion soup and a very delicious spinach salad. Throughout, the service was efficient and attentive. Looks like we will be back in Ft. Wayne for another procedure in January, so we will definitely be visiting Hideout 125 again! read more

First time eating here. I had a fantastic meal. French onion soup, might be the best I've ever had. The beer was German, Weisse something or other, really good. I chose the sea bass. Something I've never had. It was really good. However, that is a small piece for the price. The Mrs. had the filet, under cooked for her taste. The mashed potatoes have way to much salt. Totally ruined the potatoes. Our waitress was great. she played along with out late arriving dinner guest. I will come back, but not often, this is an expensive place to eat and drink. For the prices the portions are lacking. read more

Great service, but my steak legitimately was still moving after asking for it to be cooked twice. I can only recommend dining here to soy's who like their meat raw. I haven't seen meat this raw this I was cornered in Boy Scouts. read more

Hideout 125 - Seafood Near Me - Fort Wayne, Indiana

We just enjoyed a fabulous meal last night! The special occasion was to celebrate my Mom's Birthday and they treated us royally! The entrees included my Scallops which were wonderful , Surf & Turf with a very nice ribeye and lobster tail, The Sea Bass was exceptional! I wish I would have taken pictures but we were enjoying ourselves and the wine. Our server, Noah couldn't have been more attentive and his service was outstanding. I highly recommend you give Hideout 125 some love! read more

Delicious food. But ask your server the price of draft beer. A Belgium White draft cost $10.00 per pint glass. Nothing special except the price. Beer was almost more than the delicious sandwich. read more

My favorite restaurant in Fort Wayne, hands down. For lunch over various visits, I've experienced the wedge salad, prime rib sandwich, turkey sandwich, French onion soup, ribeye steak, filet medallions, prime rib dinner, and other various appetizers. Their food is amazing. Recently it's been taken up a notch. On our recent visits the chef has visited our table and asked how our food is. Cocktails and wine selection is top notch. Their old fashioned is the best in town, so is their French onion soup. Can't wait to go back! read more

I have eaten here multiple times, and have never been disappointed with the food, drinks, or service. They have excellent options both for lunch and dinner. I was slightly disappointed to hear that they no longer offer brunch on Sunday mornings. Hopefully that is able to return after the pandemic is over. read more

Probably the best prime rib I have had in quite some time. And the drinks are great as well. The last time I went to my dish had new potatoes included in the meal and they were somewhat crunchy, not impressed with that but everything else was great. read more

Never had a bad meal here. Consistently friendly service. Great food menu. Great bar menu.

I got the Ribeye with fingerling potatoes and grilled mushrooms. I really enjoyed the steak and salad but the sides were not my favorite. Will be coming back when wanting a good steak. read more

Great solid beautiful food and atmosphere. I felt pretty ftom the moment I walked in the door.

This is my new favorite place in Fort Wayne. Great cocktails and incredible entrees. I had the NY strip and it was cooked pretty medium and topped with a bleu cheese crust. Dessert was a perfect slice of cheesecake topped with a blueberry syrup. Definitely a place to go for occasions. I will be looking for exciting go back! read more

Atmosphere: B+ Appetizer: A Drinks: A Salad: A Entree: D (Ribeye) Service: B I'll start by saying this was my first visit, and I will try it again, however I will not be ordering a steak of any kind. First, my wife and I made reservations the day of, around 4pm for an 8pm meal - no problem. When we arrived right at 8, we waited about 10 minutes. Again, no problem. They even offered to get us a drink while we waited. Once we were seated, we each ordered a drink - I got the Moscow Mule, and as luck would have it they had the vodka from my favorite Columbus, Ohio distillery, MiddleWest Spirits called "Oyo". Excellent mixed drinks all around. We then started with the calamari, which was excellent. Meanwhile, the bread was placed on the table, which smelled, looked and tasted just like the bread you'd make at home in your own counter-top bread maker that your aunt Helen got you for your wedding. Again, excellent (and nostalgic). After 2 top-notch wedge salads, it was on to the main course. My wife ordered the menu ribeye medium, and I the special 28-day dry aged ribeye, medium rare (as I know the tendency to over cook a 14-ounce steak). Let's just say, we were both disappointed. Her steak was charred and did not have a warm pink center, and seemed very medium-well. Luckily it was priced right at $26 and included a salad. My steak was very rare - which I could get around if it wasn't such a bad cut of meat. Neither of us are more than half. We aren't they type of people to send food back, either. As it turns out, my steak was an undisclosed $48, which I would be fine with if it was a high quality cut, cooked to perfection. It was neither. Had I known it was double the price of the menu ribeye, I would have ordered that and been equally as unhappy, but could still stop by Kroger for a better ribeye on the way home. Next time I'll try the chicken and waffles, which would seem to be the safer bet. But the steaks left quite a lot to be desired. read more

Very cool place that honors the end of Prohibition (official date of the big event: 12/5/1933), ergo their name, Hideout 125 (and Est. 1933). They pre-mix and age numerous liquors in wood mini-barrels resting on the backbar; their own craft cocktail concoctions are a big hit, and they do a very nice job of making obscure, excellent drinks, such as Sazeracs (oldest cocktail in the USA, as I learned from Nick our server), Manhattan, Old Fashioned, etc. The first 2 that I mentioned were both delicious. I was buzzed before I made it to my table. Oy Vey. Now to The Food: The high-end grub we ordered as a table of 3 guys was overall amazing, and more than reasonably priced; big, big menu with mostly upscale entrees, and great salad selections (the chop salad was amazing) plus very nice apps (shrimp cocktail and tuna tartare way above average). My filet over mash with a red wine deglaze and baby carrots was stunningly perfect. I've eaten more than a few top-notch steaks and this one was stellar. Dinner companions ordered a pork tenderloin special (amazing, moist thin slabs, and filled with herbs) and the surf and turf for the other. His dinner (filet and huge lobster tail) was apparently quite delicious,as I caught him licking his plate... Oh yeah, each of us had a glass of Guenoc Napa Cabernet, at 7 bucks each. I need another trip to Fort Wayne! Service was also way above average; this is one nice little restaurant! read more

Don't let the 3 stars deter you: I'm halfway between "A-OK" and "I'm a Fan." Had been wanting to try this place for a while, so I finally got the chance and this review is based on one visit only. Service was excellent: prompt and friendly; staff was welcoming. All the food we had was great--just not.....impressive. I enjoyed it, but I've had better. The beer flight was fun but their mixologist is on to something and we'd go back for a cocktail for sure! I just can't quite place what was missing for us....atmosphere? vibe? We enjoyed our dinner and service but there was nothing outstanding to make us want to come back over and over again---at the price we paid for dinner I'd be more inclined to spend a bit more over at Baker Street because of the overall ambiance. However, this is truly a class restaurant in the north part of Fort Wayne and should be considered for a special occasion or business deal. read more

This upscale restaurant is conveniently located for us on the north side of town. It's great for a romantic dinner or with a group. We've always enjoyed the food! We will be coming back :) read more

Oh my goodness! Just had dinner here and just was fabulous. Started out with a Caesar salad that had exactly the right amount of dressing. The lemon drop martini I had was mixed to perfection, the best martini I've ever had. My ribeye I had was just slightly over medium, but it was still amazing. The fingerling potatoes were seasoned perfectly. The demi glace is absolute MONEY, the flavor was outstanding; so savory and delicious. We ordered the shareable mac and cheese and it too was awesome. Creamy and buttery.. Creme Brule for dessert was perfect with a strawberry sliced. I also tried a bit of the brownie which was rich, chocolaty and delicious. There wasn't one thing that went wrong! Our server was also extremely nice and did just a fabulous job. Can I give this place 10 stars? I certainly would! Yum yum yum!!! Highly recommend, we will certainly go back! read more

The food & service was outstanding! Ordered the crab cakes for an appetizer, they were tender & full of flavor. For the entree I had the Scallops cooked perfectly, with the hint of ginger & spice! read more

Hideout 125 has the best ahi tuna in Fort Wayne. We always have great service there and enjoy sitting in the bar.

This was my first time here and I had such an amazing experience. My bf made reservations so we got our table right away. Such a nice atmosphere inside. The waitress was really sweet and friendly. She explained the menu very well. The menu had a decent variety of options. Since it was Valentine's Day, each entree came with salad or soup. Fresh bread with butter was also served. I decided to get the chopped salad which was okay.. nothing special about it. I think I should have gotten the soup. As for appetizer, we had the calamari. I enjoyed it since there's not a lot of places that has good calamari. I heard the chicken and waffles are amazing though! As for my main entree, I ordered the NY strip. It was also served with potatoes and broccolini. It was delicious! The meat wasn't too hard and has a nice flavor to it. My bf ordered the ribeye with fingerling potatoes. His entree was definitely better! I highly recommend getting the ribeye. It was really tasty and well cut! Love it! We didn't get any desserts since we were so full but I'll definitely be back to try their other foods. This is the place I will recommend to my friends. Oh, pricing wasn't too bad for the quality of the food. ~$25-30 for steaks. I definitely can't complain! :) Btw, they're closed Sunday-Monday! read more

My 15-year-old granddaughter and I decided to go out on Saturday, February 9, 2028 to celebrate my Birthday and Valentines Day together. I asked her to pick out a nice restaurant in Fort Wayne. She chose Hide Out 125 and I am so glad she did. This was her first real experience with fine dining and we had a great time. Our server was Jamie and she was great. She told us about the specials, was very attentive and really put us at ease. When we go back, we will definitely ask to be put in Jamie's section. Thank you Jamie! The atmosphere was filled with nice background music, ambient lighting and exclusive decor, with a very cozy eating space. Table settings with fine China was great. Now please let me tell you about the food! We started off with the Aged Irish Cheddar Loaf that was very tasty. I had The Filet Mignon which was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. My granddaughter had The Salmon which she said was very tender and flavorful. We topped it off with Vanilla Bean Cream Brulé. You just cannot get any better than that! read more

This is definitely a spot you should check out! Inside of the plaza off of Dupont and Coldwater, it has the feel of an old bootlegger's saloon, in a fine dining experience. I enjoy sitting up at the rail watching the handsome men in suspenders create cocktails. But if the bar is full, the servers in the dining room will make sure you enjoy your time there. Nick was our waiter this past time, and service was on point as always. He made sure the chef whipped up a special vegan dish for my birthday and I was very impressed. They're known for steaks, seafood and spirits...but they can most definitely accommodate any type of food preference. Just make sure you make a reservation if it's a weekend night. They fill up fast! read more

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The atmosphere was awesome. We were greeted with such a warm welcome and got sat immediately in the lounge area (it was also 5:30 on a Tuesday evening, I'm sure weekends would be a little different). My fiancé started out with an old fashioned, top 3 best in Fort Wayne by far. I started with there signature cocktail of the evening, the peach bourbon smash. The fresh peach slice and sprig of mint were the perfect simple garnishes. Once our friends got there we decided to get some appetizers. The ahi tuna tartare with a cilantro aioli and corn salsa on top of naan was so good I even ate it (normally not a raw fish girl). We also got the charcuterie which was very yummy. The prosciutto was top notch. For our main meals I chose the small plate chicken and waffles. WOW. The chicken had he perfect amount of sauce and the right crispness, the waffle was cooked to a tee, the slaw was amazing. This was by far the winner at the table, everyone loved it. My fiancé got the 14 ounce ribeye cooked medium rare. The blue cheese crust was browned just right, the potatoes were very yummy, and the steak was so juicy and cooked perfectly. With out dinner I ordered the Romeo Foxtrot, rum/Rosemary/pineapple/egg white, bitters. Very good light and refreshing drink on such a warm day. My fiancé chose a Mickeys hand grenade, he's super classy! We were all so stuffed but we HAD to try the brownies with vanilla ice cream. Another WOW. Our server was excellent. Cameron gave great recommendations & was very attentive. Liz made us killer cocktails! Our bill was $100 before tip. Great price for high quality food, great atmosphere, & awesome service! read more

I have nothing but praise for this establishment! My husband and I have eaten here on several occasions and we are always well taken care of. The food is some of the best in a Fort Wayne and the drinks are amazingly well crafted. The service is above and beyond. We always sit at the bar because we like to watch the drinks being made and enjoy the conversation with the bartenders. I sat scrunched up between the window and table. I am average size. Cold air was coming through the window, so my friend offered to trade places with me. Then we had to push the table a couple of inches out from her. The table space was a bit cramped. There was a table of about 20-30 people that were enjoying the night, but the sound travels terribly in the room. Our table of 6 could barely hear each other. Couldn't wait to leave! *Our service was good. I will only speak for my meal, the Amish Chicken large plate was good, but some of the asparagus was woody. I'm surprised they let it go on a plate! We all agreed there should have been more asparagus on each meal that contained it, for the price we paid. Not a great night....I usually enjoy 95% of my restaurant experiences. read more
