Perhaps they were having an off night based on the other more positive reviews, but we did not have a great experience. Here's what was fantastic. The signature cocktails are very interesting, are very expensive, but all around good. On Tuesday they do $6 martinis so that was a plus. Overall the mains were very good as well. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly; the scallops were presented correctly and were seared without being overcooked. Fish was good, but the piece could have been a little larger considering the relative size of the other entrees. Plate presentation was excellent. The apps were a mixed bag. The Brussels sprouts were chewy and the serving tongs were very large and unwieldy, and finally, for the price of the appetizer, it should have contained a few more. The meat and cheese plate was also good, but it was served without any serving utensils and had very few items on it considering how expensive it was. I know this will sound very picky, but given the expectations that this place creates, it is important to have nearly flawless service - which we did not. The server was obviously not trained in even the basics of higher-end serving etiquette and it significantly detracted from the overall experience. In other words, when you are spending $50 - $60/person, the service needs to be one of the most important parts of the experience. A few of the larger issues. She took all of the forks when clearing the table after the apps, but when the mains came she forgot new utensils. The food runners sat the wrong plates in front of our party and we had to pass them correctly. Multiple times the server cleared plates, poured water, and refilled drinks by reaching across the faces of our party instead of coming in from the left and clearing from the right. Yes, I acknowledge that it is somewhat snobby, but when you want to be a high-end restaurant that creates high-end expectations this should be a given and the lack of server training should not detract from the quality of the food and the overall ambience of the experience. Given that Hideout 125 competes in a very crowded space with similar higher-end restaurants in the area, this lack of attention to detail should not be overlooked. read more

So When I made a reservation online and stated it's was date, I expected them to seat me at a table in a nice quiet place where I can enjoy my time with my wife. My wife and I ended up at bar area making this romantic night into a comical but loud date night that wasn't worth the money I paid for the food we received . Pro Supper friendly staff. Great house beer. Cons Over priced Food was average Small portions read more

Great meal as always. The tuna was perfect and my wife's medallions were just wonderful, Crab cake appetizers were excellent. The party in the next room was a little loud but hey, they were having a good time. Always a good time at the Hideout. read more

Before last night I would have given this restaurant a 5. It was my favorite restaurant in Fort Wayne. I would have said their salmon was the best. But not last night. Usually the salmon is seared. Not last night. And my fish was so salty I could barely eat it. Also, and I'm sure this is a staffing issue out of their control so I extend grace, but it took forever to get our drinks and food. I do have to say that their salted caramel White Russian is the best drink I've ever had! read more

We dined out at the Hideout 125 many times but i forgot to write my review(Blame it in the martinis). Last night we were there again to the same yummy food great services but I have to talk the chili, it was soup the day beside French onions. I usually don't eat Chili( I'm a picky eater) but i was glad I tried it last night and omg it was so good I ate it all. Yes they deserved 5 stars and highly recommended read more

Found this place quite by accident and couldn't be more pleased. The drinks and food were amazing. My husband had a manhattan and I had one of their gin cocktails. The manhattan is a favorite and did not disappoint. We ordered the ahi tuna dinner and the steak salad. Both were excellent. The staff was quite attentive. Will definately return. read more

As soon as you walk in, the atmosphere is cozy and romantic. They have a sizable amount of craft cocktails and I would highly recommend the BlackBerry Collins with old coe sour mash. We ordered the garlic roasted brussel sprouts to start, which were flavored well and very crispy. For the entree we ordered three Chop salad and Surf & Turf, which came with a ribeye and lobster tail, both of which were cooked to perfection. The creme brulee finished the night on a sweet note. Hideout 125 is the perfect place for a date night. read more

Special night out with my Mom while we were visiting her in Fort Wayne. Outside looked like nothing special but once you're inside, the place is a great replica of an old Prohibition hideaway. Service was great! Upon being seated, our table of three ordered a couple of martinis and a draft beer. Food was excellent with very well prepared steaks and sides. Dessert trio gave us all a bite of something sweet to finish off the meal. Place was packed and service was timely and excellent throughout our meal. Definitely a place to return to on our next trip. read more

Food and drinks were amazing. Service was really great. Really cool environment and very laid back. Well worth the price.

It's been awhile since we've been to Hideout, especially since the ownership changed. We had a delectable evening and can't wait to return. We started off with the Raspberry Hammer and Cucumber Gin Martini. Both we're spot on cocktails. We had the brussel sprouts as and appetizer and our friends had the chicken-n-waffles. In my opinion, the brussels at Tolon are better and hard to beat. BUT, the chicken-n-waffles were off the charts good, with a perfect amoubt of heat and sweet. The house salad and bread came next. I had the 8oz. Filet and it was top notch with the dem-glaze and grilled a perfect medium rare. My wife had the salmon and ate every bite....she still had room for bread pudding with a side of ice cream. Excellent evening with top notch service. read more

This was my first time at Hideout 125 and it was a great experience. My husband and I will definitely be back. This was a last minute decision when we unexpectedly had a night sans kids. This is definitely an adult geared restaurant as it's on the expensive side and doesn't really have a "family vibe". Which, for us, was exactly what I wanted. Everything we ate was fantastic. We had the pork chops and filet medallions...super good. We had two cocktails (Bad Apple and the Blood and Sand) and they were not stingy with the alcohol...I was feeling it, for sure. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable, offering suggestions and making sure we were happy with our experience. The restaurant has a prohibition theme and sort of reminds me of a restaurant at Disney. I am so glad we stumbled upon this place...this may be our new "go to" for date night. read more

Great place. Loves the atmosphere. The wait staff was amazing. Very attentive and knowledgeable about the offered dishes. We ordered the ahi tuna for our appetizer. It was one of the best in town. I got the stuffed chicken for my main meal. It was cooked perfectly. My husband got the ribeye. It was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. I highly recommend the raspberry hammer. It was delicious! Side note: We sat in the bar and they have a glass polisher for all the stemware behind the bar. It was very entertaining. Lol. read more

Hideout 125 is a nice upscale restaurant amidst many chains and fast food joints. The bar area is pretty awesome with the throwback to prohibition era. Dinner can be expensive, but the food is very good. Service has been fantastic every time I have went as well. If you're shy about dinner prices try them out for a lunch, get a signature cocktail or beverage and enjoy the experience. You'll probably want to come back for dinner then. Solid joint, worth visiting. read more

Wow over-rated, had the scallops with some weird mushroom sauce out of a jar that belongs on a steak, yucky pairing never again... Riesling must have been chilled & warmed & recooled, the acid level was poor..it-n the-drain-no more for me... OMG, take $125, hideout in another place, this is way over rated... Reservations for the dinning room, they put us in the bar, hmm I could have sat at home n watched a game if I desired that and made a better meal... My date, asked me if I preferred Baker Street over Hideout $125 was the tab oh ya Baker Street wins my $125... read more

Best kept secret. Great ambiance, great food and drinks, and such great people that work there! We frequent this haunt constantly, and so should you! The owner works his tail off, and wears many hats just so he can keep things moving like a fine timepiece. I appreciate his hard work ethic. This is a rarity in the customer service area. Tuna was wonderful cooked to perfection . I do recommend Tuna seared , with Broccoli and mash potatoes, it has a light touch of Wasabi. Tuna was cooked perfectly. Wonderful presentation and quality. I did really enjoyed it. Cesar salad is average, not really an original Cesar. Desert Creme Brulee was barely OK. Atmosphere, attention, waiting times and overall quality is very good. Prices are adequate for the quality of the food. I recomend this restaurant. read more

December 5th (12/5) was the end of prohibition and the concept for this speakeasy themed restaurant. The space is small, so you'll want to make sure to make reservations on Yelp prior to arrival, but it is an incredible space. If you arrive early to your reservation, you can stop in at the bar - if you enjoy cocktails, make sure to try one of their craft cocktails before you leave. My personal favorite is Breakfast in Cell 433 and they also make a killer Old Fashioned like a Chicago or Indy bar does. Order your entree to your preference - if you like a rare filet, the chef makes it perfectly. Overall an amazing experience! read more
