    Portuguese sausage breakfast classic
    Doug L.

When we got to Camarillo, my daughter took us to Hidden Cafe for brunch where the menu was influenced by the owner's Chamorro heritage. The restaurant was somewhat "hidden" in the back of a multi building complex. Staff were quite busy but friendly and attentive. We took the first available table inside with views of the kitchen instead of the covered patio outside. Not sure what to eat, the menu listed many choices for both breakfast and lunch that should satisfy your hunger pains. The combo and sub choices also added more to the decision making! Overall the food was filling and satisfied some of our cravings for a Hawaiian style breakfast. The deluxe loco moco was good for 2 to share (with an extra plate included) with a beef patty grilled to your choice of doneness and came with spam and Portuguese sausages. My other daughter devoured her Portuguese sausage classic breakfast while I deviated by ordering the chili verde and eggs special. Definitely satisfied our hunger and would come back again.

Hidden Cafe is a hidden gem in Camarillo!! Amazing cinnamon rolls!! The loco moco was great too, very tasty gravy. The waitress was very kind and overall great experience.

I can't even remember the other thing that I ordered because the cinnamon rolls were so memorable. They are beautiful, large, and delicious and topped with butter!!! We ate outside on the back patio and had a big party. The wait took awhile but that was probably because it was graduation weekend so the area was very busy. They took GREAT care of us and I would absolutely go back the next time I'm in the area. Literally for the cinnamon rolls alone.

This Cafe is located in Camarillo off Camarillo Springs Rd. It's so hidden that you might have passed it! It's on the first corner to you left. My Family wanted to eat here for breakfast. I never been here before, the hidden cafe felt so warm, cozy, super friendly and very charming. I love there are choices where you can eat. Whether it's inside, outside inclosed netting no flies , or just outside patio, and seating right out front of the cafe! Upon entering I noticed how super clean it was & so were the restrooms, this cafe is highly organized & attention to details! Our hostess told us that if we have a party everyone needs to get there first before she can sit us down, So kind of her. Our waitress Fernanda asked us if we had any questions & we did. She answered them all beautifully. We also asked Fernanda if there was some way we could lower the volume of the music. Jesse came by and changed the volume, that was very sweet of him! We ordered 2 hot Teas, 2 coffees, Veggie omelette which included hash browns, chicken omelette which included hash browns, classic egg whites Benedict which included O'Brien and Pancakes side of bacon . Everything was super delicious, their portions sizes are great too & so we're price points! Fernanda always asked if we needed anything, she was on it! Fernanda was so sweet, kind, caring, very genuine! She has this upbeat positive personality that really radiates! She is your Rare Diamond, her shine will never fade! Jesse was also so sweet & kind! I like to Thank Hidden Cafe for a lovely & beautiful visit! I would love to especially Thank Fernanda for making our visit so memorable!! I'll be definitely be back again! I'll tell all my family & friends to come here!

Totally family friendly! High chairs and changing table, yay!! Inside and patio dining. Love their expansive menu with some unique items. Usually a wait any time we go so expect that. Food is always a hit. Recently tried a different dish and went with the Portuguese sausage w/fried rice & fried egg, breakfast game changer.

Stopped in today while in the area and yes it's a Hidden Cafe! The ambiance was cool with what looked like locals who enjoy good home cooked food. The hostess was very kind and sat me at a nice lil spot in the patio area. Emma was my amazing server with kindness and a smile she took my order. I had a cup of coffee and a make your own omelet with a fruit cup. The food was tasty and hot and the other staff members who helped out were also quite kind and professional. Highly recommended

This place may be hidden but sure is packed so come early. It's a small place but plenty of seating outdoors and pet friendly too. Why 4 stars? The last time we went I order to go and was given a stale cinnamon roll. We live an hour away and unable to return it. It's a crime to sell stale cinnamon rolls! Service 5 stars! Totally love... Private parking lot. Classic diner ambience. Indoor & outdoor seating. Quiet neighborhood. Customer service is always a hit or miss, but we truly appreciate the good days. This is our go-to breakfast spot when my significant other is in town. My favorite are their pancakes - they taste deliciously buttery. But as you can see in my photos, they've gotten disappointingly small though ::sigh::

I am so glad we decided to come here for brunch!!! We were on a road trip and decided to stop here for some food and I'm so glad we did. It is a little hidden but not really! Ample parking and plenty of seating. We came around 11 on Tuesday and were sat out front in the shade with fans blasting. Our server I wish I got her name but was amazing. Very kind and attentive. We started with some coffee and I got the hot chocolate which was amazing! The tuna melt was DELICIOUS! As well as the Mac salads. The ribeye was the crowd pleaser WOW the char on it was delicious. It was juicy and perfectly cooked. We also got some pancakes and added some fruit to it which was cooked perfectly as well. I'm so happy we decided to try this cafe it truly was a great time!

We asked Emma what her favorite dishes were and she said chile verde or loco moco. We asked what the most popular dishes were and she said loco moco and fried chicken and waffles. I tried the chile verde, eggs over easy, steamed rice and flour tortillas. Everything was served hot! The flavor on the chile verde was dot com. Pork was super tender. I definitely needed the rice and eggs and flour tortillas to mask the heat of the dish. But soooo flavorful. Indoor seating and covered outside searing available. Small place but very clean and orderly. Our server Emma is one the daughter in laws in this Hawaiian owned restaurant. She was so sweet and helpful. She brought our table of 3 all separate checks without us asking. That was so thoughtful to make it easy. Usually we're fighting each other over the check.

Definitely "hidden" away from hustle and bustle. Cute place with a cozy, warm feel. Super friendly service, giving good recommendations. I had the loco moco, just what I expect from it- delicious gravy and a mix of Hawaiian flavors. Give them a shot!

Great food, the service was friendly and fast and I enjoyed the music. It was a great first stop. Their special sauce was good and unique and recommend it if you like spicy food!

Where is the rest of the menu? All I saw on yelp was breakfast.

There's a few lunch items but it's mostly breakfast because they close at 2 PM.

I'd been wanting to go back and take Dear Hubby to enjoy this very special re-imagining of the previous space, which had been an Irish pub incarnation. When our sister-in-law and two nieces were in town, the five of us were able to spend a quick evening together at Selvin's. We had been working on a project at our house, and by the time we got finished and ready to go out there wasn't a lot of time left as we went on a weeknight and they close at 9:00. I'm surprised that having a full bar, and being attached to a hotel property, that they would hang it up so early - even 9:30 or 10:00 would make more sense. It's such a charming place; seems a shame to have to call it a night so early. The ambiance is absolutely divine, especially out here in suburbia. It's very innovative in its layout. The lighting was carefully planned and is very effective in creating a special mood. And, what can be said about the wall of roses? It's tailor-made for snapping fun photos, that's for sure. The chef is sending out creative and Dee-Licious dishes from the kitchen. Yes, I know how to spell delicious, but it is worth adding the accented flair to stating the fact that this is a cut above many other dining establishments in the Conejo Valley. Dear Hubby and I shared Pappardelle Pasta and a Tuna Tartare appetizer. Both were excellent. One of our nieces ordered the taco platter. Wait till you see the photo. The only thing that was disappointing, menu-wise, was that bread wasn't included, so we ordered some as a side. Two little slices. I've forgotten the price, but I recall that it turned into sticker shock when we saw what was served. I'm tickled that they offer a nice array of zero proof cocktail options. They aren't inexpensive - apparently spirits without alcohol aren't any less (or maybe only slightly less?) than the full-spirited options. Still, it's nice to have the option. Our out of town family members LOVED Selvin's; it was a big hit with all of us. As an added bonus, there was a guitarist playing beautiful acoustic music when we arrived and were seated in the lounge area. Major extra credit!

It's the perfectly curated trio - Dirty Martini, followed by a well dressed crisp Cesar salad, and perfectly hot Truffle French fries. That's girl dinner in a nutshell (trust us on this combo). On their speciality menu it's called "Martinis and Munchies for Two" for $49. An amazing deal split between two friends. Dirty Martini: Some of the best ice cold martinis on this side of town. These cocktails were crafted to perfection and were always a sucker for the blue cheese stuffed olives. Tossed Cesar Salad: A Cesar salad during these hot summer months always hits the spot. Crisp, cold and fresh. The dressing was solid but I must highlight the lightly scattered capers on this salad - so smart and so tasty! Truffle French Fries: After a few martinis these French fries come in clutch. Crispy, hot and perfectly salted - who doesn't love a French fry and an aioli with a kick. Honorable Mention: PASTA. I was very impressed with my pasta dish here. Ordered the pappardelle bolognese and this pasta was a 10/10. Perfectly cooked ribbons of pasta with a hearty meat sauce and the Stracciatella topping sealed the deal for me on this pasta. We had a fabulous girls dinner from start to finish. The ambience at Selvin's is truly magical and we just love the decor and bar area. We had a cozy little booth to ourselves and the service was top-notch from start to finish. Extra kudos to Claudia for being a bubbly, lovely girls girl who was super attentive to us during our meal and made the night A+. Can't wait to come back soon.
