The personalized teaching style is awesome to help students think through their mistakes and understand what specifically makes the right answers correct. The class is taught to help students understand how to approach each type of question, which made me feel like the LSAT was learnable since the questions have recognizable patterns. I improved 10+ points in only a short amount of time, making the class great for students and those in the workforce or with busy schedules. I reached my goal score for my exam and I couldn't have done it without Dr. Amar's help!

He does a great job with explaining concepts and takes the time to thoroughly review answers. I will say, you get out of the class what you put in. I believe that you need to participate in class discussions and vocalize when you got something wrong in order to learn. The class helps you stay accountable to a study schedule as well, but you have to put time in effort in outside of the classroom to get the most out of the class. You spend 6 hours in class a week, and you should spend at least that amount of time outside of class studying as well. I put in a lot of effort in making sure that I paid attention to Dr. Amar's lessons, but I also came to class prepared and went over my practice tests before going to class as well. All in all, I'm very thankful for this experience. I was able to score a 172 on test day, and I don't think I would have been able to get there as quickly without Dr. Amar's assistance. Thanks Doc!

TLDR: Austin GMAT review + Application Consultant services are top tier. Scored in the 82%…read morepercentile and got accepted to 3/3 programs I applied too with scholarships. I highly recommend Austin GMAT review for all your business school needs. I took the GMAT prep course with Dr Amar and he is one of the best instructors I've had. He breaks the test down barney style and covers everything you need to know. Every question I found on a practice test and the real test is derived from concepts he taught. I ended up taking the course twice, as the first time I wasn't able put adequate effort into studying, because I was still in my undergraduate program. Be forewarned, if you do not do all of the homework's and periodically review previous concepts throughout the course you will be in for a rude awakening when you take the GMAT. Everything you need to know is in the course, but its your job to retain it. Dr. Amar was nice enough to allow me to repeat the course a second time and I ended up taking the executive assessment where I scored a 155 (82% percentile). In regards to the application consultant services provided by Elaine. I can't recommend her enough. I was on a tight schedule to apply to two programs within a couple weeks and she was able to fit me in. She spent countless hours helping me brainstorm for the essays, reviewing them, and editing them. The finished products were amazing. I routinely had conversations with her late into the night and she made her self available to me whenever possible. She was able to completely redo my resume for me and was able to identify things I didn't even think about putting on there. She also helped me with all of the short answer questions on the applications, how to enter my work experience and extra curriculars. As a veteran, I used ServiceToSchool to apply to my undergraduate program, and while my ambassador was awesome, there was definitely a stark difference in the ability to provide information about the programs. Elaine's experience with different programs was invaluable, since she's helped so many students apply to these programs, she was able to tell me things that I was not previously aware of, such as different opportunities and in depth knowledge about the cultures/career outcomes etc. Elaine's interview preparation was on point as well. She essentially nailed 95% of the questions that were going to be in the interview and helped me prepare my answers to them. The ones she didn't tell me verbatim were just slight deviations from what I prepped for and were easy to answer. Elaine's consultant services are truly all encompassing, whatever your needs or questions she will go above and beyond to help. I can't thank the Austin GMAT team enough. In conclusion, with Dr Amar's & Elaine's help I was able to get accepted to all the programs I applied too, (2x top 20, 1x top 10) with 50% scholarships.

He always made himself available for me to discuss any questions or address any concerns I had, which was an invaluable resource. Elaine was amazing during my applications process. Whether it was her advice on how to present myself during interviews, her ability to understand my goals and aspirations for my essays, or her steadying hand during the tough parts of the process, she was always able to go above and beyond for me. Ultimately, the thing that I really believe sets Dr. Amar and Elaine apart from anyone else is that they truly do care about the person behind the test and applications. I could not have been more impressed with their work and the results speak for themselves as I was accepted into three M7 programs. I strongly recommend Austin GMAT Review to anyone looking for MBA test and applications counseling.

They are hard core about getting you to a level you never knew existed, yet fun loving and very team spirited at the same time. The coaches are awesome and I feel like I have gained so much from training with them. If you are just a beginner at triathlons or an experienced triathlete, this is a group that embraces people of all levels and goals. There are people of all ages and ranges that train for the sprint, olympic, half ironman, and ironman distances. I started back in April of 2008, with their swim clinic. Yea, I could swim..maybe doggie paddle swim a couple 50 meters or so, but I REALLY didn't know HOW to swim. They taught me how to do it efficiently, with proper technique. 1 year ago I couldn't swim one length of Barton Springs without freaking out or hyperventilating. Swimming was the only thing keeping me from competing in a triathlon...but here I am now training for a half ironman. Yes I knew how to run..yes I had a bike, but really I didn't know how to put all the pieces together. With them, you have coaches to help you, teammates to push you along the way and give you advice, and practices that will kick your ass. Another great thing about the group is that they have a very flexible training schedule that can work for anyone and everyone. They have swim practices everyday (morning, lunchtime, and night), they have spin class 3 times a week at different times, they have track and run practice 3 times a week as well. On weekends there are group long rides and runs. You don't have to be a triathlete to join, many people train in all 3 sports, 2 sports or even just 1 pf the sports. The skies the limit with flexibility. If you are looking for a triathlon group to train with, this is IT. I don't mean to sound like this is some marketing ploy, because it's not. This is the real deal, and I am willing to put the smack down on anyone that chooses to challenge this review, because T3 is absolutely, positively THE shit.

I had an overall excellent experience using Austin Elite Prep services for my MBA application…read more There are a vast amount of options that one has when it comes to preparing for and applying to MBA programs, and picking the right option is a decision no one takes lightly. After extensive research and several client testimonies I decided Austin Elite was the right fit. For reference, I was a transitioning Army Officer with about 6 years of experience and had done no previous prep work with any service when I began my MBA application process. I initially elected to do just the GRE prep program with Dave Lyon on a trial basis before adding any other options. I called Dr. Amar, and he helped me decide which prep option to enroll with. I decided it would be helpful to do the "math bootcamp" in conjunction with the GRE prep program. The next GRE prep session started in 5 days, and he overnight shipped all the materials, and sent me digital copies of everything to make sure I had all required materials. For me, what was the deciding factor towards selecting Austin Elite for the GRE prep was the "in-person" zoom sessions that was offered with Dave Lyon versus many other competitors who offer pre-recorded lessons. This "live teaching" aspect allowed me the flexibility to go through my thought process and figure out sticking points in some of the tougher quantitative and verbal questions. I saw a major jump in my testing scores from the beginning to the end. Admittedly, I did not retake the course later on but it is of note that Austin Elite allows its students to retake the course within 1 year of enrolling (in case certain topics require additional attention later on). Based on my outstanding experience with Dave, I spoke with Dr. Amar regarding continuing to use Austin Elite for consulting through the application process. From there I began work with Elaine Conces. I had my initial meeting with Elaine approximately 3-4 months prior to Round 1 applications due dates. She was very detail-oriented and got to know me, my story, and my intentions with applying to business school. Within a week or so, she built me a roadmap towards success with specific milestones to meet by each calendar month, along with several revisions of my resume. Elaine worked tirelessly with me for the next several months reviewing essays, short answer responses, and interview prep to make sure that I was accurately and effectively conveying who I truly was to the Adcoms. Working with her was an excellent experience as at times the admissions process can seem extremely overwhelming, and at times, daunting. Having her on my team allowed me to focus on what was important, and she always took the time to answer all my questions with her vast experience with business school admissions processes. Overall I had a stellar experience working with the Austin Elite team. I am heading to Tuck School of Business this Fall, and I am not sure I would be headed there without all the help and support from their team. I highly recommend Austin Elite to people from all walks of life that desire admission to an excellent business/graduate school.

The coaches strike the ideal balance of kindness, structure, and accountability--they are encouraging, but they also make sure the kids stay focused and really work on their technique. That kind of consistency is exactly what our girls need. What I've noticed is that some people complain about the staff being "stern," but honestly, that's one of the main reasons this program works so well. Kids learn discipline, respect, and resilience alongside their cheer skills. The staff expect the athletes to show up, listen, and give their best effort--and the results speak for themselves. Our girls aren't just "going through the motions"; they're learning proper form, building strength, and being pushed to grow in a positive way. And the proof? They ask every single day if it's cheer practice day. That level of excitement says it all. If you're looking for a cheer gym that builds confidence and structure while teaching real technique and accountability, Courage is the place. Highly recommend!
