It's a good spot for the price. When I went it was $13-14 bucks for lunch. For that, it's a good spot to eat a quick bite. But, the courses range quite a bit. They didn't have coconut shrimp last time I went. And some of the foods I ate made me nauseous. The shrimp "seafood delight" I ate was mushy, like the texture or mashed potatoes. And a sushi I ate was very dry and felt old. Some dishes are great like the lo mein noodles and beef stir fry, but a lot are just fillers that I feel like are re-cooked or re-fried and reused. Went to this restaurant yesterday with some family members by their suggestion. The staff were completely unfriendly, non attentive and nonexistent. I did not see anything wrong with the cleanliness of the restaurant but the food was terrible! Everything was dry, over cooked and appeared to be sitting there for quite some time. I couldn't even chew a piece of boneless spare rib and spit it out. It was so tough it was like very old beef jerky that could replace shoe leather. I never spit food out in a public place unless it is absolutely necessary and was not happy to be depositing it into a napkin. All the seafood on my plate had a strong fish taste that was off putting. It remained on my plate where I put it and more than half of everything I chose was uneaten. I was very turned off by this time. Coconut shrimp should not taste like old fish. The chicken was dry, the pepper steak was gummy and the rest was lacking flavor. Large place with so so many options. We go for the variety and selection of food rather than the ambiance but it always is clean! This place has really gone downhill. The booths with red "pleather" (plastic leather) are all worn out, taped over, scratched, and filthy. The carpets are caked with food and stains, the bathrooms are disgusting. As you enter you are greeted with a grunt at most from a person dressed in jeans and a t shirt wearing flip flops or crocs, who apparently hates his job. This place is filthy. There are some small bowls for trays which have soup such as won ton and hot and sour soup. The bowls were face down and the area they were in had all sorts of debris in their. Came here for a nostalgia trip with my brothers, as our parents used to bring us as babies. But the previously stated "nostalgia" turned out to be PTSD. Our server was furious and after delivering our drinks she seemed to vanish. After eating we waited more than 30 minutes for our bill but despite our efforts to wave ANY waiter down, we had to go to the main desk to pay. Half the food was edible, most was freezing cold. There were no restocks of any dishes throughout our 2 hour venture, even though the restaurant was packed. The habichi chef made my youngest brother's meal wrong, and was aggressive enough so that my brother was afraid to ask for it to be made again. The pleather (plastic leather) chairs were shredded. Our table was dirty, and the tables weren't level causing a drink to be spilled. General Gau's chicken and crab ragoon is sometimes good to usually decent. The chicken fingers tasted like they had been fried and refried about 4 times. Fried Rice is not bad at all it's your basic vegetable fried rice. They have spring rolls that are no where near as good as egg rolls. While, I don't eat the Clams in Oyster Sauce my friend said they were excellent. The cake literally tasted like cardboard. The Ice Cream was good. While some people have complained about the waitresses we did not have an issue with them they were quite efficient. We did not think the place was as dark and dimly light as some reviewers have said it is. The thing that really bothered me about his place is I saw an employee stocking the food bar they dropped some of the food on the ground and instead of throwing said food away they simply put it in the food bar with the rest of the food. After I saw that I threw away the rest of my food and left. This was about the sixth time we had eaten here and we have not been back since that incident. While the price is good keep in mind management tolerates employees putting food that has fallen on the ground back into the trays for customers to eat. I usually don't post reviews, but had to make an account just for this. Initially, the restaurant looked like a good spot to get some food, I was very wrong. At the entrance there was a nice buddha statue, and a wishing well. Once we got to our table, the tables and chairs were filthy, with food on the table and the chairs and tables were sticky. On top of that, there was a huge puddle of water on the floor. When we asked for someone to mop it up, the waitress said "No, its just water. You'll be fine." The food was bland and had no flavor and the hibachi was terrible. The man cooking was a bit intimidating and he made the food taste like the ocean. There was way too much soy sauce and salt and it wasn't even edible because of that. All the other food was bland and flavorless and the ice cream tasted artificial and left a terrible taste in your mouth. The brownie was dry and flavorless, and just like someone else had said in their review, somehow, the jello was dry. Pleasant and always willing to cook to your exact specifications. The Buffet is a variety of food from white rice, pork fried rice, vegetable medley salmon( baked not fried) chicken- boneless, barbecue or just fried. Chow mien (Fall river and NY style)-clams, oysters and there is also a salad. Have been eating here for 10 years. They have one of the largest selections in the area. There are selections like pot roast, mashed potatoes, string beans and soups for the non-Chinese folks in your family. Everything from sea food to chicken done many different ways and all the old favorites like General Tso's chicken, sweet and sour, fried rice, low Mein. They have Cray fish and tiny, tender clams, a selection of fruit, ice cream, cakes, puddings and macaroons for desert. If you like Chinese buffets you've got to give this a try. First and foremost I must warn you--the name of the restaurant is misleading. Instead, it really should say something along the lines of "American Chinese Buffet and everything else". You would think that "Hibachi Sushi Buffet" would mean a buffet filled with sushi and hibachi-cooked food. What I saw instead were tables decked with an assortment of serve-it-yourself long-cooked meats, vegetables, and carbs left out in mid-temperature all day and only a tiny sushi bar and grill all the way in the back, shadowed from the blazingly bright lights over the tables. Of course they couldn't miss the "general tso chicken" or the mashed potatoes, onions, fries, and frozen pizza to cater to the customer base around here. I would not necessarily say the food was bad, but I was skeptical and stayed clear from uncooked foods and fruits. There wasn't much of a crowd and I could easily guess that the food I was eating has been left out for hours. I am not one for greasy, unauthentic restaurants, but seeing how a friend of my mom has been boasting about the quality of the food and deal ($10 per person), I couldn't help but go with the family to try it out. Hibachi - Yes, I can confirm that there is a Hibachi grill along the back wall. I didn't try it. Someday. Sushi - There is, in fact, a refrigerated case (next to the aforementioned Hibachi) of Sushi. I haven't had any. Not really my thing. Buffet - Now we're getting someplace! Lots of variety. Lots of selections. Lots of slack-jawed locals looking at the variety of selections and standing in my way! Soups, appetizers and main dishes. A salad bar, a dessert bar and a self-serve ice cream chest. Amongst my favorites; leek dumplings, black pepper chicken, peanut butter chicken, coconut shrimp, hot and sour soup and crispy chicken wings. This place always has a high Asian/Everyone-else ratio, which I take to be a good sign. In fact I ran into the bartender (Dave) from my local take-out place (Foxboro Mandarin) in here one afternoon. He takes his family there for the seafood selections, and says he can't make it as inexpensively at home! Prices are about $7 for lunch and around $11 for dinner. They have your usual Asian dishes, the sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, lo mein, stir fry dishes. They have a variety of soups ( hot and sour, won ton, chicken and corn, and miso). The hot and sour was a bit bland, needs lots of pepper. Clams in black bean sauce is quite a hit and very tasty. Crawfish are on the puny side. overall, all the side dishes were decent, I mean for the price, you can't go wrong and you do leave full. i would skip the fried chicken, over cooked and for some reason its like a hot yellow color inside. Egg rolls are decent and the dumplings are good. They do have a few carving stations but those were left untouched by most patrons, who wants to cut their own meat? There is a hibachi station which i recommend if you are planning to get lo mein, this way its fresh and made to whatever ingredients you want in it. I recommend getting the Mongolian sauce. The sushi station is rather sad. 75% of it is made with part crab stick, cream cheese, and avocado. Anything made with crab stick and cream cheese, I consider fake sushi. Though they did have salmon and tuna nigiri and maybe a tuna roll. The table don't offer any small dishes to put hot sauce in but right behind at the ice cream station, the ice cream dessert bowls work quite nicely. Service is attentive in clearing plates and refilling drinks. They do have a full bar but they don't give you a drink menu. I wonder why ? overall, for the price, its a great meal on the cheap.
