Just had my lunch/dinner at Hibachi Buffet. I was bit surprised to see variety of hot and cold good as well as assortment of sushi they have. Also I noticed clean nice smelling restroom. I have been to most of buffets near by, including Mizuki (tukwilla) and Main Japanese (fed way) "same owners". Price cannot be better $8,99 + 10% discount (Mon - Fri). Great first time impression. I'm not sure if you could call this a buffet. Service was nice and friendly. They were attentively busing the table when the plates were finished off. The food quality was less than par, with items dried and old tasting. Crab over-cooked, thus meat dried out. The Chinese selection was oily and stale. However, when brought out immediately the string beans were fresh and snapped. The ice cream, I would retitle,"slush cream." The temp needed to be lowered, it was paste consistency. Don't expect to be wowed! I think the King County food rating of "Okay," is somewhat appropriate. read more

The first time I went was on a weekday just in between lunch and dinner and the lady asked if we wanted just the lunch price, or pay for the dinner so we could have dinner items. I'm glad we had the option to choose. The second time was on a Saturday around 6PM and the place was pretty full but there was no wait! The place is spacious and not very well decorated but at least they tried by putting up pretty lights and mediocre paintings. The food is decent, and they don't have as much food as Mizuki but enough for me to give them four stars. They do a good job at refilling the food consistently so everything is fresh. The sushi selection is not great however, they have about four or five different kinds and they're all pretty similar. The dessert and fruit selection is also pretty disappointing but for 12.99/person it's reasonable. They also have a grill where you can choose your items and they'll cook it for you which I have not tried. Just came here today and I have to say this place was a nice surprise! Since moving up here to the Northwest, I've yet to find a decent Chinese buffet. After trying this place out today.. I can finally say I've found a place to fit the bill. There lunch price is $8.99 per person and if you "check in" you get 15% off the bill; so that's a total plus! From the outside, I wasn't expecting too much, but once inside I was pleasantly surprised! The place is spacious and there's plenty of seating to choose from whether it be a table or booth and looks like a great place to bring a group. They have all the familiar items like fried rice, chow mein noodles, teriyaki chicken, kung pao chicken, sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, even offering Mongolian Grill and a limited array of sushi. They even have self serve ice cream you scoop out yourself. The standouts: Black Pepper Chicken, Honey Shrimp, Salt and Pepper Fish The staff is friendly and are quick to clear out your table of used plates and even offer to refill your drinks(though you can do that yourself). This is a relatively new place that we decided to try. We were certainly pleased with the food and the price. Of course it's a buffet, but all of the hot items that we tried were very good. The sushi was a bit lacking but I don't really go to a buffet and expect good sushi. I particularly liked the seafood stuffed crab shells, indian chicken, and the pepper chicken. We are excited to go back and try some different things, they have so many to choose from it's impossible to try them all and still be able to walk out of the place! We love this place. We have since the first time we came months ago. I love that they have a Mongolian grill along with the usual buffet. The buffet is not like a regular Chinese buffet. The food is actually good and there is something for everyone. They even have american food for the picky kids and it is truly yummy. I always go to the Mongolian grill first and the man who runs that is always super nice. So be sure to bring a dollar or two to tip him. He does a fantastic job and really has great conversation. The staff is always nice but there is an older gentleman with glasses who runs the front and seems like the manager that completely made our experience last night, unforgettable. We came to celebrate a friend's birthday and he noticed we didn't have a cake, he came back with a dull plate and candle and made it so pretty. This man made me laugh as well as my friends and the little things like this is why o always come back. There's so many reasons to come here but I mean a food buffet for a low price, you have to go. I'm not big on buffets anymore but thought we'd come since we received a coupon in the mail for 25% off. It looked like a seafood lovers paradise, with almost every shellfish dish you can imagine. The salmon and cod were tasty. The sushi area is not even worth trying. Only the futomaki was good today. I believe the seaweed salad was past it's prime, it was slimy and had an off taste. If you are looking for good sushi/desserts/American food/etc., then I'm not sure this place is worth your money. There was nothing I walked away with saying "that was delicious!" or even "pretty good". The lunch prices with the Yelp check-in only costs about $9 per person, but still, it's a buffet of mediocre at best food. This is one of my favorite buffets. It has a nice variety of cuisines. It seems to be a hit and miss with buffets and how fresh the food that they put out is but Hibachi buffet almost always puts out fresh tasty food. Do keep in mind, every time I arrive, the place always seems to be very busy so if you're coming with a large group it'll take some time to get seated. I used to go to this place when I worked in Auburn every now and then. I love going to buffets. This place was decent. It was clean and the food was OK (not great but good). This place comes up as a seafood buffet. Don't go though. I5 looks clean enough and the was ok. People and staff let kids run free. After seeing multiple children that could barely see over the bar coughing and such I couldn't stay. One kid was indecisive I guess and after spooning to much walnut shrimp. Crazy busy on a Sunday afternoon even after 2. We're instantly taken aback and it's truly a sight to behold with people jam-packed inside like canned sardines. We also immediately noticed a somewhat unpleasant, off-putting smell coming from the dining area to the entrance, which acted as a deterrent and prevented us from moving further in. The woman at the counter automatically upgraded our order from lunch to dinner prices. When I brought this to her attention she told me that it didn't matter that lunch ends at 3pm (it was before 3pm), or that there are signs all over all the dishes that are for "dinner only". Getting what I paid for shouldn't require two confrontations with the cashier and one with hangry people waiting for an employee to justify at length a clearly immoral practice. If I can't pay for what I want, at least take the signs away that tell me all the things I can't have. Some times they drop the ball on been more friendly and on helping you out if you have questions, plus if only they would carry Coke brands instead of the product they have would be a great place to take the family more often. read more

First time coming here with family and boy was it super crowded and over capacity. The foods were okay although here are my concerns: the sushi wasn't edible nor did it taste like sushi with rice and all good ingredients instead, I tasted in my mouth mayonnaise and it didn't taste well which made my mouth uncomfortable, the sesame chicken was a bit overcooked because I never had chicken so hard and heavy like a rock to chew or bite on so that was a big uh oh for me cause my teeth almost couldn't chew it down. Cute little buffet. We've eaten here twice. The staff is nice and attentive. Typical food, nothing that stands out, but they cook their dishes well. I've never noticed any food trays empty. Ice cream selection is great! What really blew me away here though was how thoughtful the staff was when my daughter got hot soup on her hands. They brought us burn cream and and ice pack. This place is very disappointing...very over priced and the front staff is very rude. Be sure to check your receipts because they will automatically add charges and gratuity without letting the customer know. Very dishonest ! Your average Chinese buffet. It has just about everything you can find at any other buffet, except they actually didn't have the snow crab legs, at least this Saturday that I was here, which is usually a popular item at these Chinese buffets. Went here 3 times already but the last time i went I appreciated it more! Came in on a Sunday! And the per head is only 16.99 + .99 for unlimited drink. Thats real good price because usually buffet places we go to we have to pay 25-29 dollars on a weekend! So this place is to go to for sure! The actual building is pretty nice too but wished it was a little bit bigger because it gets too crowded and hard to move around, the tables are too close to each other that you can hit your elbows with the other people on the other side. Its pretty clean which is a huge deal for me. The food is over flowing for real, like they aren't afraid to refill the food and they don't want to have empty trays. There was a lot of choices. They have sushi bar Mongolian bar ice cream bar where u could pick different flavors and they do have more than 2 flavors which is cool! They have a variety of fruits and desserts. But the only thing thats kind of a bummer for us was their crabs. It was nice and soft to open but it was too skinny there was nothing to eat inside and it just all claws and no body. But we enjoyed other seafoods for sure! They were so many servers and they are pretty active they saw that we have seafoods so they always give us empty plate to put the skin or shell of the seafoods. And they check on us and take all of our dirty dishes very often. It was my family's first time there and it was our 3rd time they asked me why i never told them about the place before. I just thought that they wont like it because its smaller than where we always go to but they really enjoyed the place. So for 16.99 this place isn't bad at all if your craving for seafoods and other usual food buffet serves but if you want lamb or steak or roast beef or lobsters more options for sushi or pho bar you wont get it here. Great place for an affordable price. I'm giving this place 5 stars solely on the fact that they always have fried sweet plantains! I can't get enough of that! About the service, like any other busy busy place servers are attent but fast. They appear and disappear like ninjas! The food is great. There is never an empty tray at the buffet. All food is steamy and warm. The stuffed crabs are delicious, the crab meat tastes soooo good! The pineapple rice is always cooked to perfection. Did I mention there's a self serve soft ice cream machine and a variety of ice creams to choose from. Yum! There's also a Mongolian grill. Do please tip the cook as he manages to not forget who's dish is who's when he cooks 10-20 dishes simultaneously to perfection. I couldn't do that if they paid me to do it! Lol. Don't be worried about the long lines, they move fast! This place is always packed but we always manage to get a booth in less than 5 mins from entering the doors. UPDATE*** Had the opportunity to stop buy to get some food for a charity project. The cashier was in an excellent mood and was very polite. My fiancé and I love love love Asian buffets, but don't go very often because they are so expensive and when you do go the food is just so so...that is not the case here. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the foods I tried when I went here and the price was really good.
