So flavorful! My favorite non-traditional hot pot ever!! Although this place is over an hour drive from Philly, I would definitely make my way out here again. Favorite broth would definitely be the cheese milk broth. It's so flavorful and everything they put inside is delicious. The pot is good enough for 2-3 and you can add additional items on the side. Came here with my friends for a girls night out. Really cool, laid back spot for a hang out with friends or a date night. I would say a reservation is not required as we came at 6 on a Friday night and we were seated promptly and plenty of tables open. My friends raved about the hipots, which were huge portions! This place was recommended by friends who come here for the PPL center. Although there is no parking lot for this restaurant, there is street parking which is not too difficult to find. I absolutely loved this place! I got the beef hot pot which came with a bunch of different ingredients and a side of rice. We also got the calamari and the kumquat bubble tea. The beef hot pot was delicious! It had noodles inside which was a plus. As for the calamari, it was okay - each ring was too small. The kumquat bubble tea was really good! Let me first add the disclaimer that I am new to ramen and never had hot pot. Hence the reason my review might not align with others. (Based on my daughter's opinion, she'd likely give 4 stars.) We were on our way home, hungry, and running out of time to eat because it was getting late. The daughter said she had heard great things about this place and was eager to try it. I'd only had real ramen (not the 49 cent grocery store variety) once before, in DC, and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I agreed. We called ahead to inquire the latest we could order (15 minutes before closing) and rushed to get there in time. Fortunately there was a parking spot right out front. We walked in, my daughter said, "Hi", and was greeted in return with "Are you ordering take out?" I get it, you want to go home. But, please, a little courtesy first. The restaurant is fine, sparsely decorated but clean. The food came out very quickly. While ordering, I noticed few vegetarian options (I'm trying!) so I just got vegetable ramen. Nearly every other option seemed to include pork or chicken belly. The daughter mentioned that she'd never tried hot pot, asked what it was, got a very non-descriptive answer. Then, "Well maybe you should just try it and see if you like it." Sigh. This server clearly just wanted to get out of there. At home, the daughter was impressed by the packaging, which kept the noodles and vegetables separate from the sauce. She was not impressed that the dish didn't contain tofu or any other protein, especially for $14. I enjoyed the variety of vegetables and fancy mushrooms, but the sauce tasted bland to me. Came here on a Saturday around 5pm it wasn't too crowded. The staff was friendly but not quite attentive. I ask for extra napkins since we had 5 kids at dinner. But she literally gave me 1 extra napkin. The food was good. Portion sizes was decent for the pot. But their bowl of rice is quite small. WOW! Amazing hole in the wall. Briefly - decor is great. Staff was super friendly. I've never done Hot Pot before. This place the hotpot is cooked for you, and they bring it out with a heater. The hotpots have different sizes so ask your server which are the "single" ones and which ones are larger. We started with the spring rolls. Our hotpot was the Thai Tom Yum. Prepared to be SICK of me bc I'm about to live at hipot. I got the sichuan spicy hot pot. It was loaded with so many different ingredients and they were really high quality. I also thought the broth was delicious. Usually I get medium spicy when I go for hotpot but I got mild this time and I'm glad I did because it was pretty spicy. The dipping sauces were all delicious, especially the chili oil which was flavorful and also decently spicy. The portion I got was huge and the prices were reasonable. Can't recommend it enough. If there was a lower rating available I would have chosen it; the service was horrible, rude waiter was not helpful and hid most of the time had to learn to eat with chopsticks before I was able to get a fork or spoon. The food was below average served cold, lack flavor even with the limited sauces that were available, served with useless greens and vegetables as fillers to "skimp" from the main ingredients,limited menu selections. Came here to try out the food with my family. Admittedly we didn't try the actual hot pot dishes but we had the popcorn chicken and tonkotsu ramen. I have to say that the popcorn chicken tasted awesome. It had a great crunch and was well seasoned although not quite exactly what I'm used to when it comes to taiwanese popcorn chicken. Regardless it was some great fried chicken and the ramen was slightly above average but I guess you don't come to a hotpot restaurant for authentic japanese ramen; this is a taiwanese retaurant after all. Not too many option in this area so if you want some good taiwanese food this place is a must visit. The only issue i felt was the staff who didn't speak english well and weren't very hospitable; not entirely their fault but let's face it, you're in bethlehem PA, not new york city. read more

The soup tastes just like MAMA instant noodles flavoring from childhood, the pork belly was deliciously fatty, and all the seafood and veggie fixings were spot on. If you're reading this and considering whether or not to eat at Hi Pot--please, just do it. If you're passing through like we were: stop, breathe, and take a moment to be happy. If you're lucky enough to live a short distance away from from this place, make it a part of your life--a regular spot, a place to gather with friends, a place to take people who might (and/or have) become important to you. We got lunch midway through a drive from western Mass. to West Virginia, two kids (6 and 2) in tow. It's not right on I-78, but also not too far off of it. Street parking was easy. The interior isn't particularly full of character, but it's spacious and comfortable. Seating is mostly (entirely?) booths. We ordered pork ramen and shrimp dumplings for the kids and spicy stinky tofu, spicy cumin lamb, and Taiwanese Supreme Spicy hot pot for the adults. It was all fantastic. Our six-year old housed his ramen; our two-year old not only ate the dumplings but also tucked into the cumin lamb and parts of the hot pot. The cumin lamb was excellent. The spicy stinky tofu was better than excellent, full of intense, fascinating flavors that you don't encounter everyday. The hot pot not only tasted amazing but was also fun to share as a family. (Glad we went for the Taiwanese Supreme Spicy option, though the others looked great, too.) Overall, the food is 5/5 by NYC standards. As if that weren't enough, the people who work at and run this place are just completely awesome. Service was great, and they were incredibly kind to the kids. Just go; have a blast enjoying fantastic food while supporting and getting to know some genuinely good people. read more

Okay so I was in the search for trying a new ramen place one night and stumbled across this place during one of my ventures on the south side. What a good find! My boyfriend and I split the calamari...nicely breaded and it was not that chewy rubbery crap that places tend to serve! Now to the ramen...the miso ramen was delicious and the amount of pork that's served with it is generous and not disappointing at all. Broth was tasty as well!! Not only was the food delicious, the service was incredible. It's all put together by the kitchen and served in large individually flame heated bowls. Make your own sauce blends right at the table with choice of soy sauce, chili oil, bean paste and sweet chili sauce. The ingredients are tasty and fresh accompanied by savory and flavorful soup stock. This is a different type of hot pot in that all the components of the meal is pre-combined for you. The bathroom was very clean and smells like incense! The food: 5/5 you can't get a better deal than this. I ordered the seafood hotpot which came with lobster, shrimp, fish, mussels and clams. I couldn't believe this was a 1 person portion! I couldn't finish my food and took half of it home for dinner. It comes with a bowl of rice too. I asked for parsley to put into my hot pot sauce. I also ordered their half sweet thai tea with no bubbles-it was perfect. This was comped for checking in on yelp! Usually hot pot has an extensive sauce station but theirs only gives you 4 options: soy sauce, bean paste, hot oil and one other...You have to ask for anything else you might want. I asked for parsley but they'll probably have anything else you might usually ask for (an egg? scallions? sesame oil?) I would definitely come back again if it was closer to home! read more

Ever since moving to NJ, I've been trying to find a place similar to Boiling Point in California for Taiwanese hot pot. This place has a different twist but I fell in love with it. The servers are incredibly friendly and always nearby to assist you right away. Their beef hot pot, popcorn chicken, and fruit teas are delicious. The restaurant is always clean and I appreciate that, especially during these odd times. I still haven't found a good hot pot place near me, but I'll continue to drive 1.5 hours to come here!
