Great place for fried chicken. The batter is thin, crispy, and has a nice crunch. The meat inside is moist and juicy. The size of the chicken leg is big and having two made me full. You can order inside the store at the kiosk. While waiting for the food, I see a lot of delivery pickup and people ordering to go. There is gated parking in the back and street parking.

Unfortunately, the food was a major letdown. The fried chicken was extremely salty, to the point where it overwhelmed everything else. Worse, the chicken inside the sandwich was pink, which immediately raised food-safety concerns. To make matters worse, we found a hair in one of the three sandwiches. That alone was enough to completely kill our appetite and trust. The total was the final straw. The order was about $63, but after checkout it somehow jumped to nearly $80, which is far beyond normal tax. This was a take-out order, but when we asked the owner about the unusually high total, the explanation made little sense. We were told that using the kiosk adds service charges, which was never clearly explained beforehand. The response felt dismissive rather than helpful, especially given the quality issues with the food.

Hey Chicken is another Chinese chicken shop that I've wanting to try and see how it compares to others in the area. I first ordered to order via a food app, but the order ended up being cancelled. After arriving, I used the kiosk to place my order. I went around 6:00 pm and it was not busy at the time. The interior is a bit small with several seatings that mainly accommodated groups of 4.They have a parking lot in the back. For my order, I got the spicy chicken sandwich and a side of popcorn chicken. The popcorn chicken was crunchy and juicy. For the sandwich, it was also juicy and spicy. The spice level was enough to get a kick and still made it enjoyable. Hey Chicken is definitely a spot that I'll revisit. Bonus points for their cute mascot on the tote bag and boxes! The kiosk did accept American Express.

Hey Spicy Chicken Sandwich / 叫了个香辣鸡腿堡 and Onion Rings

Came on a Saturday afternoon around 12 pm and sat down as the only dine in customers. Pricing was pretty fair - 9.99 per burger and 4.99 for the onion rings. Specialty sauces like honey mustard and hey chicken sauce were .69 cents extra, but ketchup was free! The sandwich itself was very tasty - the chicken was hot and juicy on the inside and very crispy on the outside. The spice level was also comfortable, and not painful throughout the meal. Onion rings surprised me as well, they were crispy and the whole onion doesn't just pull out with one bite. Overall would come back if in the area, which is likely since Bengong and 3catea are right around the corner!

Great spot ! Our toddler son loved it! Original is a little spicy, but he could handle it. However, we would love if they had a version without spice (easier for kids). Great staff, friendly and efficient . Spacious seating area. We went back twice !

It's pretty small inside with a few tables and you order from the kiosk in front. It's located on the corner and they have a small parking area in the back. Otherwise street parking. Got the hey chicken crispy sandwich and the hey double New Orleans sandwich. The crispy sandwich came with a piece missing from the bun but they took it back and replaced it with a new one. I liked the crispyness of the sandwich but I liked the New Orleans better. Maybe bc of the flavoring? Or maybe bc it was more chicken and less batter? Not sure but if I come back, I would get the New Orleans. The mozzarella sticks didn't come with any dipping sauce, like what? No marinara no nothing.

I was really trying to get soup today, but that place was closed, so I took a walk around the strip mall and found this chicken place. The person at the register was nice and helped with all my questions. The music was super loud, so it was hard to hear sometimes. I ended up getting a chicken wrap and mozzerella sticks. I was pretty hungry at this point, so I went for a mozzerella stick as I walked back to my car. As I took a bite, hot oiled dripped out of the stick... but i figured it was just newly cooked. So then i get to my car and bit into another stick and it still had hot oil in it, and it burnt my lip a bit. I think it was just cooked at too high a temperature because there was no cheese in the stick, it had all just sunk to the bottom (see pic). The chicken wrap was just a plain ole wrap to me. Nothing special, just like chicken fingers wrapped up with a couple pieces of lettuce. They didn't seem to have any sauces available, so I just added ketchup. Chicken was dry. To be honest, I would rather have gone to chick-fil-a.

if you like mediocre check in this is a place for you. There's nothing special about it except for the bag that the chicken comes in. Lol it's super cute. I think I might've gone into the soft opening. Their whole menu is not available to buy it and I tried the spicy chicken sandwich and the popcorn chicken. The popper chicken are awesome but they don't offer a level of spice and they also don't offer a level of spice for the spicy chicken sandwich. Their house sauce, taste kind of funky. Dislike, horseradish, mustard, ketchup, and mayonnaise put together. There really isn't much service there. You just order off a kiosk and days later you'll get a text message that your order is ready lol. It did, however, take quite a bit of time for my order to be ready. I only gave it three stars because I think the popcorn chicken is actually pretty tasty. The fries I ordered were kind of too starchy. Reminded me of the fries from the hat down the street.

Came here in-person during soft opening, they had a pretty good special bogo whole fried chicken. It was actually good and tasted clean, a reason I decided to come back. Months later, I placed an online pick up order on a random Sunday at approximately 8:30 PM. Drive to the store, and it's closed, lights off. The stores hours says Monday-Sunday 11:30 AM to 11:30 PM. Nope for whatever reason, the store is closed. Ok well, things happen and maybe they needed to close that night. The issue is, their online ordering system accepted my order and took my money. I even called the next day, no answer to my phone calls. I'm mad obviously, I file a dispute with my credit card company. For whatever reason, credit card company sided with the merchant after chowbus responded (won't be using citi credit cards anymore but that's a different story), and I have no idea what chowbus's response was. I'm rating this place 1 star because of this experience, and the fact that they stole my money (goods never received). I refuse to support businesses that have zero responsibility and accountability. Be careful if you place an online order here.

Wanna grab fried chicken for your meal today? Come here . I ordered: 1. Hey chicken wings 6pc 2. Hey new orleans chicken wings 6pc 3. Hey double new orleans chicken sandwich - very moist chicken! Reasonable price and easy to eat! Dine-in orders over $88 before tax, a Bounce Dancing chicken toy will be given.

I came in on a Saturday around 7. The parking lot is tiny and not the best. It's a small place with about 5 tables. You can order from the kiosk or the person at the front. My friend and I both got the Hey Crispy Chicken Sandwich combo. It comes with fries and a drink. My friend and I thought the burger was SOOOO good!! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and super juicy on the inside. The mayo on the sandwich was sweet and the shredded lettuce helped it from being too salty and sweet. The fries were ok. Just regular fries nothing special. Overall I was surprised there weren't a lot of people here in a Saturday night but I would definitely come again. Bonus points for the gloves they give you.

Talk about a treat! I have not had a chicken sandwich in a very long time. My oh my the chicken sandwich was perfect. That first bite was so enjoyable. The Hey New Orleans chicken wings are also a must! It was so flavorful. I believe the show stopper was the Hey Golden Fried Chicken. The crispness was so good. For a person who does not always eat fried food, this was truly an absolute treat and it made me so happy at every bite! The service was great and he was able to answer all our questions about the menu. We were happy with our meal and how it came out in a very timely manner. The place was very clean and enjoyable to eat at. The bathroom was also clean and I have to add this info because I find it useful to know which does to show that they take cleanliness seriously.

Came here for small dinner since most of us were not hungry but it was time to eat. They have a deal BOGO chicken right now, 12 pieces for $12. The chicken came out fresh, hot and crispy. This was just the spicy flavor tho, I wasn't sure if they had flavor options, or if I did, I might have missed it. They have a good amount of tables that me and my friends were able to play a card game and eat at the same time, and still have enough space for their other customers to dine in. Overall a good place to hang out!

Everything seemed well and fine until I got home, opened my patty melt and found not 1 but 2 long hairs in my sandwich! They were clearly her hairs since she was the only one who handled my food. I went back and returned everything. I didn't see a hair in my other sandwich but couldn't even eat it without thinking what could be in each bite. The same girl was there when I returned and a young guy. I spoke with the guy and he gave me a refund right away and apologized. The girl who had made my food was maybe 5 feet away and couldn't even turn around to look at me or apologize. Very disappointing since the owner seemed like a nice guy who probably works extremely hard to build and maintain his business, only to have it ruined by some employee who couldn't even care enough to take 5 sec to put on a hair net. Shame on her.

Now, here's something that really brings back memories -- they way they make their Hainan Chicken -- most places make them with boneless meats (dark or white), which is easy to consume, of course; but this place make them with bones. The Snow Cheese also didn't resemble cheese in taste or texture; it was an odd wet sauce with no real flavor. The only flavor we enjoyed was the Korean Fire, which was a simple sweet‑and‑spicy sauce. The chicken itself was decent, but the sauces really took away from the overall experience. The ambience was minimal. The restaurant was empty except for me and my fiancé, the walls were plain white with a single chicken‑themed light, and ordering was done through a screen. While we were waiting for our food to come out, I noticed their chopsticks lists their other locations and most seem to be in areas with high Japanese footprint: Torrance, El Segundo, Gardena, Costa Mesa, and Los Angeles. The food was ready within a reasonable amount of time. In previous photos I saw and appreciated the grill they put the katsu on to maintain crispiness on the bottom, but they are no longer using that. The meal also came with a side salad, miso soup, and a few small sides. This is pretty typical of similar businesses. The dressing on this side salad was really bad though. As much as I wanted to eat the vegetables to be healthy, I didn't like it at all. Not taking points away cause it's an included item, but just including my observation. The rice was okay... a bit dry for my liking. The katsu itself was really crispy and crunchy for both of us. I can see how its' their specialty. For my porkloin I liked one side of it more than the other. The curry was okay, but I don't find it cravable... not like the curries that are so good I'll take it home to eat with more white rice. I barely dipped my katsu into the curry. If my boyfriend wants to come back, I might just order the katsu without the curry. A nice addition for this area, but I'm spoiled with having tried better curry katsu spots so I'm a little picky.
