What seems to be a clean facility is not. I just took out my belongings after 6 months and there…read moreis rat droppings everywhere in my unit. Question: what do we pay for if it says in the contract that the storage unit company isn't liable for anything literally anything. Their not liable if someone breaks in. Their not liable if there is a fire. And their not liable for rat infestation. So essentially were paying them for literally a 12x12 sq ft piece of land with for walls and hope. Of course these contracts are pretty relative to any storage company not just direct. I admit I'm ranting but ultimately its disappointing that I can't hold anyone accountable for finding rat droppings all over my belongings. Update: management rectified the situation and refunded us a portion of our rent. I upgraded my rating from 2 to 4 given the situation. Not a five star because regardless there was rat droppings in our unit that ruined our furniture.
