They didn't not try to solicit me but instead I solicited them and found that those two gentlemen had A+ Customer service. When I approached the counter they were on it. I am very grateful for their services, Thanks guys once again you guys created magic for me.

I had returned here after being satisfied with previous rental from Dollar. During my last visit it…read morewas straight forward and the rep (Henry) was super helpful and nice. So I decided I would book again over a week in advance. I scheduled my pick at 4pm. Only because that's when I was able to get a ride to pick up the rental. Got texts before my pick up date and morning of that my car was reserved and would be held. Upon arrival no one was at the counter so I waited. The dollar rep came in and asked if I needed help and when I told him I was here to pick up he got very serious. I wanted to make small talk and asked if he was Henry. He responded very rudely "yeah why" and I just let him know he helped me last time. He didn't answer after that. Basically told me they didn't have a car for me unless I wanted a van or sprinter. I told him no I didn't need that much room. He proceeded to say he didn't have anything available unless he calls his Simi valley store which closed in 30 minutes. The reason why was the cars he expected back didn't come back. But my reservation was for 4pm does he not have access to the daily rentals? They could've planned and asked for the other store to bring a car if they knew none came back. Anyways I ended up with no car although I reserved one. I guess reserving a car doesn't mean anything. I had to walk to the Avis counter next door and get rental through them since it was late and almost all rental places were about to close. The lot looked full so I assume those were all Avis cars. It ended up costing me more and pushed my trip departure as well. Not sure if I will rent from here again but if you do call to confirm before going in.

The car was nice and clean (and under 18k miles). The staff was nice and helpful. They talked…read morethrough with me to note the scratches on the care beforehand so I would know they were there and that I didn't do them upon my return. I had a few minor issues after I left the lot (smell, noted scratch, issue with key) and I called on each one and was helped and reassured to my satisfaction. They also work with my insurance company which is great to help me get a discount in addition to a coupon as car rentals are obviously not cheap (but they were the cheapest by comparison). The employees I dealt with were very nice, helpful and actually really funny! To the people complaining about no pet hair...rules are rules, just don't do it or pay the $250 deposit or go to another rental company. I have dogs I would have loved to pop in the car but I didn't. For the multiple complaints about waiting, it might just have been a timing issue. I picked up a car around 10 am on a Sunday and returned it around 9 am on a Monday and both times I was in and out in about 20-25 minutes. CONS (so as not to completely mislead you) *The car smelled funky..like a Vegas hotel...maybe cigarettes with mildew? They are non smoking but you can't stop everyone ha ha. I rolled down the windows and got an air freshener and the smell was gone in less than a day. *I don't like the $100 deposit fee but again, that is part of their rules. If you don't like it, don't sign it and go somewhere else. Eventually it will be returned to your card or drop off. *They didn't go over in great detail the scratches on the car with me and it was raining when I picked it up so I didn't see a big scratch until the next day (but I asked them and they said it would be fine.) *I picked up on a Sunday morning and dropped off on Monday morning which to me is 7 days but they seem to count the drop off day as a rental day which i really disagree with and I will follow up on. *I don't like the extension fee of $10 so I ended the reservation and created a new one for drop off and pick up on the same day. They ended up giving the same car back to me that I was checking in because it was bigger than what they had to offer (which was still a midsize SUV). It was an unnecessary hassle to me but the car insurance co. wont cover the extension fees so I had to process it this way. PROS *I liked the car itself, it was a Hyundai Santa Fe and I asked for a midsize SUV so that worked out and I might even consider buying one LOL. *It had unlimited mileage *I actually received a prorated refund upon return of the car (not counting the $100 deposit) because I overpaid online when I initially booked it. *All of the fees are clearly laid out online if you book online. I can't speak for if you request a car in person. *All of the employees I personally met with were nice and helpful and friendly, not to mention understanding about any problems I was worried about with the car or issues I thought might be perceived to have been caused by me (especially after reading these reviews). After reading all of these reviews I almost feel like my experiences although not perfect are still too good to be true. If there is any update positive or negative I will let you all know.

They do not check their cars for the most basic of things, even safety. Check your tires before leaving, as I got a car with a flat and other tires not inflated properly. Of course by the time I really started to notice I was hours away, and they will not help! Another time the car had a piece of the mudflap with screws from a prior renter's mishap stuck in the wheel well, rubbing against the tire. Again, I did not notice until well underway, thinking that the car was just a cheap noisy one. They do not fill up their cars with gasoline, and will tell you at check out that it is full. I have rented from Avis at the Oxnard airport for some time. Mainly because its convenient. The…read moreproblem I ALWAYS have is this. Whenever I rent I use my credit cards insurance which is completly acceptable. I have used this insurance for years. My siblings do too. The probelm is, I always get pushback. They always question me about it and give me a hard time. Which is, and they know it, fraudulent behavior. The funny thing is my siblings (who are white) never get pushback!! Just me. Last time I rented I even presented my policy paperwork. I still got pushback! "What, no policy number?" The attendant asked me. My sister-in-law was a manager at a car rental place for 10 years. She told me unfortunately they are taught to give brown and black people a hard time and to really push their insurance on them because they most likely will not know any better. I cannot tell you how annoying it is to have to deal with this every single time I rent. I will never buy the agencies scammy insurance and they really need to understand that people are not as dumb as they think.

I will be honest and say that walking in Friday morning to begin our rental for the weekend I would…read morehave rated much lower. The 1-800 number did not give us an accurate estimate and to my surprise the amount was more than I expected. What changed my mind is my interaction with the lovely lady that helped us. I can't recall her name to save my life but I really want her to know her service was outstanding. So I will describe her, she is a tall Latina with Curley blonde hair with colored eyes. She was professional and very understanding of the situation. She explained what was not quoted correctly, what the charges were, and the reason for them. She worked with us and made an adjustment to the price to be fair to us given the circumstances. Upon return the 15 passenger van the following Monday there was another hiccup but this time it was my fault. I totally misunderstood their charging policy. I was under the impression that if I would turn it in by COB Monday I would not get charged the additional day. That was not the case and I am not going to lie, I was very frustrated. So why give a 5 star rating for service that wasn't flawless? Because just like the lady the Friday before, the gentleman at the counter put customer service and satisfaction first. He adjusted our price to reflect what I was expecting to pay. Nothing is ever perfect but working with a staff that understands customer service makes all the difference. Thank you so much for making my rental experience a positive one. We will definitely be renting from you again. We will just avoid the 800 number and go directly to your location LOL.

This 1 star is for Dmitri, i hope i write his name correct…read more We came there to pick up the vehicle that we booked online. Original, we booked 1 day costed $68.5. My husband wanted to extend to 4 days rental. They told me the cost $324. I said how could 1 day $68.5 and time 4 that comes to $324? That Dmitri told us the price appears on their computer like that, we take it or not, thats it. He said the price on different days, the rate would be different. I said fine, give me 1 min and i would go online to book the new booking right away with 4 days rental period then. And the price comes out still $274 as i said for total 4 days included tax and fee. That was what costco website said. And they still told us now the total would be $292. I asked why? The final price we got supposed to be the price we got confirmed that said included tax and fee. Dmitri talked to my face that "you guys always brought troubles, i had no choice that dont let you guys rent our cars, i must take u guy, so you want it or not, thats it". I was shocked. Firstly, who does he think he is that he could talk to customers like that? I have no right to ask why the price is different than what our confirmation said? Secondly, we came to give them business 2-3times per month. The "trouble" that he talked about, that 2 times in a while before, we booked online "full-sized car", and when we came, one time, they gave us the sport car and asked us must take it or have nothing for us. That was why i was mad and argued that was not the option that we chose. If they didnt have fullsize avai, they should put out of stock online and let us choose another location, not like pushing us take whatever they want. Another time, i booked 1 day before the day i picked up, i came and they said there were 21 booking before me, they didnt have car for me. How could i did not say anything? The "trouble" he talked about is my fault or enterprise system s suck? Other employees that i met both on oxnard and ventura were very nice talking and polite, except this guy. Cant accept that a service employee could talk to customer like this. What a rude enterprise service!
