Relaively easy to rent a vehicle, Car was clean, and new. Would rent again from Oxnard Auto Center

This 1 star is for Dmitri, i hope i write his name correct. We came there to pick up the vehicle that we booked online. Original, we booked 1 day costed $68.5. My husband wanted to extend to 4 days rental. They told me the cost $324. I said how could 1 day $68.5 and time 4 that comes to $324? That Dmitri told us the price appears on their computer like that, we take it or not, thats it. He said the price on different days, the rate would be different. I said fine, give me 1 min and i would go online to book the new booking right away with 4 days rental period then. And the price comes out still $274 as i said for total 4 days included tax and fee. That was what costco website said. And they still told us now the total would be $292. I asked why? The final price we got supposed to be the price we got confirmed that said included tax and fee. Dmitri talked to my face that "you guys always brought troubles, i had no choice that dont let you guys rent our cars, i must take u guy, so you want it or not, thats it". I was shocked. Firstly, who does he think he is that he could talk to customers like that? I have no right to ask why the price is different than what our confirmation said? Secondly, we came to give them business 2-3times per month. The "trouble" that he talked about, that 2 times in a while before, we booked online "full-sized car", and when we came, one time, they gave us the sport car and asked us must take it or have nothing for us. That was why i was mad and argued that was not the option that we chose. If they didnt have fullsize avai, they should put out of stock online and let us choose another location, not like pushing us take whatever they want. Another time, i booked 1 day before the day i picked up, i came and they said there were 21 booking before me, they didnt have car for me. How could i did not say anything? The "trouble" he talked about is my fault or enterprise system s suck? Other employees that i met both on oxnard and ventura were very nice talking and polite, except this guy. Cant accept that a service employee could talk to customer like this. What a rude enterprise service! read more

I have never had such a good experience when renting a car. Brock and Crystal went out of their way to get me the type of car I needed as we have a wheelchair user in our family. They were available, cooperative and ALWAYS pleasant. On a busy holiday week, they kept searching to get us a car so we could get our car (hit and run) fixed. I highly recommend them. read more

I reserved a van over a month ago for a family trip. I called to make sure the van was available and the location I was to pick up was closed. Then on the very day of my trip which is today 12/20/25 they call me to say that they don't have the van available like wtf they could let me know ahead of time not the same day where supposed to leave so I could make other arrangements.. so I been running around looking for a van to rent all morning... luckily Avis on 5th by Oxnard Airport they had a van available they literally saved my trip.. I really do not recommend to book any cars from enterprise Rent-A-Car specially this location F you guys. read more

let me preface by saying I love enterprise and I use it for all of my rentals this specific location I will NEVER do business with no matter what I usually go to Ventura but couldn't because I need a pickup and I needed to go to Oxnard I called, they said they didn't have what I reserved and to give them an hour and I said fine 2 hours passed and they finally called me that the driver was on his way just needed to drop off a car (2:05 pm) I ended up having to order an uber because it was 3:00 and no one came yet I arrive at the location and the pick up person HAD BARELY LEFT mind you it was 3:15 at this point They have no sense of urgency whatsoever they knew I was upset and took their sweet time I have done a dozen rentals with Ventura and I would rather WALK to Ventura that ever have to do business with Oxnard ever again read more

The people at this location are horrible they have no people skills and seems like they hate their jobs. The woman at the front desk was very rude and not helpful I was recently involved in an accident and needed a car similar to mine. She refused to check other branches for inventory. I just switched to another car rental company and will not ever go back to Enterprise. read more

Had an absolutely horrid experience with this location. They and staff were recommended to me and my group coming in from London and I wish we'd not have taken the advice and just gotten a car straight from Turo. Everything was prearranged for pickup but upon arrival our employee was told they were not allowed to get our vehicle. The "Branch Manager" was less than courteous or helpful and doesn't even know the hours of proper customer service departments. Instead of trying to rectify the problem with our employee by finding another solution, he basically kicked them out. The Manager, Omar I believe, is not the one who aided in the original booking, it was another man, whom I think is called Patrick, that also refused to help deal with the problem, despite our employee even asking to speak with him as he was abreast to the situation. Because this person and location were highly recommended we permitted our employee to go out of their way in an effort to secure something for us to where in we would have no issues whilst in LA but it was a total nightmare. Would I have known this is the treatment provided by these men and this Company I never would have permitted this. I can understand a small mix up, it happens all the time and I am a reasonable person, but to not be willing to find another solution to help solve the problem is irredeemable. When you work in Customer Service your job is to serve the customer. I also find it abhorrent that the man who knew of the reservation that promised us no issues wouldn't even come and talk to my employee to attempt to help solve the problem. We were shown no compassion or professionalism. Do you know how dreadful it is literally being sat an airport waiting on your flight having to scramble to find new transportation upon landing after you think everything in sinched up? Atrocious. You should not have a Manager there that, one, doesn't know how your corporate lines function and, two, doesn't do anything for the actual customer. You also shouldn't have staff there that make promises to customers and then do not deliver on those as we rely on what the "professionals" tell us especially when coming in from out of town. There is no reason one of those people could not have fixed whatever the issue was or found a better way to handle things and not left me and my team in a lurch. I will also be speaking to corporate about this matter and these two men. I now know to never use this company when coming to the US in the future. read more

Great experience! I received a complementary rental when a loaner car at DCH Toyota was not available to me. I needed a car instead of a truck they offered. When they could not provide me with a truck, I was directed to the near by Enterprise, about a half mile away (maybe less). The staff was friendly, courteous & fast! They allowed me to choose which vehicle I could rent & it was painless. They were quick to review the terms & contract & were thorough in their explanations. I would use them again! read more

Not very satisfied. Recently rented a car due to a car accident I was in, the enterprise car available were very limited, only one car was an option, we were not satisfied with it but had no choice. after I called multiple times to ask about availability to switch to something I was happy with, no one answered, and it was this way with all the enterprise car locations I called everyone in town!!!! And all of them had nothing!!! Called for about week and finally when they had another car option to switch too, I didn't need it anymore because my car was done with at the repair shop. read more

Pretty simple to rent a car from here. Save yourself the hassle & book online. That way things go smooth when you are there in person. You don't even have to pay right away online, mainly just to reserve the type of car class that suites your needs. During the actual rental checkout at Enterprise they ask if you have a major credit card. If you don't have a major credit card, they'll take two forms of info (cell phone bill & any utility bill). Fyi they take out $200 for the deposit. & if you have any left over amount from the rental, they credit it back in your account. During this rental, Brett helped me out & made the process pretty easy. & the rental drop off was simple too... If you need a ride to rent, they can pick you up & if you need a ride back, they'll drop you off. Just give yourself an extra 30 minutes. read more

WORST CAR RENTAL EVER! I was having my car worked on so I needed a rental car. I reserved a vehicle ahead of time to make sure that they would have a sedan set aside for me. They didn't have any cars when I arrived, but they said they had one being returned and they would have it cleaned for when I arrived. When I got in it I noticed that it stank of Cigarettes. I asked them to make a note of it, and they said they would. When I returned it they said they needed to charge me for a cleaning fee to clean the car. WORST CAR RENTAL PLACE EVER!!! read more

This is the second time that I've rented with them and they are quick, fast, efficient, and the car that was in an accident that was being fixed was an electric car of mine so they upgraded me to a SUV hybrid at no extra charge, which helped out tremendously since I drive from Ventura to LA four days a week for work. My insurance sent me to enterprise to get a rental the guy gave me two choices I asked if it was within my rental budget from my insurance he said yes. Tried to sell me the insurance but my insurance was already covering me and when I asked him he didn't want to tell me if they were or not. I paid the deposit then realized it was a day when my insurance had said it was for fifteen days. I paid an extra deposit for the remaining days. It costed me 381.55 for the deposit which I was told I'd get back as long as car was fine and gas was full. When I returned they told me I'd only get back 110 when I asked why it was because it was more than what my insurance allowed. I explained to the guy his coworker told me it was within my insurance allowance but he only gave me back 210.64 because I had signed. I was so mad because when the guy explained the contract he left that out that it was more. So I'm out 170.91 and they said they couldn't help me anymore. Read the contract regardless of what they tell you. I won't be using them again. *** I emailed them like they asked under this post. Gave them the details and emailed them the contract they told me a manager was going to contact me and nothing happened. read more

Tim Stanley coward manager allows his employees to run the store and treat customers however they like. Then he calls the already frustrated customer and begins to speak over them and defend the actions of his employees oblivious to the facts. His number is 661- 309-3134. Enterprise customer service has dropped in the past few years and is now below Hertz and avis in quality of service. The vehicles are in some cases better but when you refuse the in house insurance they waist time by calling your insurance company every single time. Feel free to call this coward Tim with any issues you experienced as customer service and corporate are non responsive to the issues of us the people who keep the doors open. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE! ... made a same day appointment at this location. When I went to pick up I got to the counter and everything was fine. Cars were available and I just needed to provide my information. I was told that I couldn't reserve because my credit card did not have a chip. This is my first time ever hearing this rule but ok cool. I told them I would be right back as I needed to move some money around to get the car. I was gone no more than 3 minutes and came back with my CC with a chip. Go to the counter and they act like I wasn't just in there. The guy I'm guessing is the manager comes up to help me but with a lot of aggression and rudeness in his voice. I tell him I'm just back for my appt. He takes my cards look at them and then asks what name my reservation is under?? (It's on my ID genius) He then tells me since I made the appt the day of I couldn't get a car because none were available. Mind you I have rented from enterprise and this gentleman exactly plenty of times before and never had a problem same day or not. Also there were plenty of vehicles in the lot that were available he just flat out lied! I called him out on it literally. I took my cards back called him a liar and walked out. While I was walking out he threatened to not rent a car to me ever again and that's fine because I will be taking my business elsewhere. Side note I went right to Hertz and was able to get a car same day and with my credit card that doesn't have a chip. Maybe y'all can learn something. read more

I rented a car from here before, and their motto is cleanliness. That was not a clean car. The inside backseat had sticky stuff on the seat. There was a lot of fingerprints on the interior and on the monitor. The outside of the car was not washed. I asked the agent don't you wash cars she said not all the time, but the inside is clean that was not the case, it was vacuumed. I'll give then that, but it was not a clean car. I had to take the car for a car wash on my money just not what I expected. the other disappointing factor I had was that the agent did not know her car rental policy. I asked her about the drivers on a car contract and she said only the spouse is allowed to drive which is not the case because now enterprise Allows up to nine drivers on an account and the agent told me they no longer do that, that wasn't true. I tried getting a full size car and the agent was trying to put me in a compact car. I told her that's not what I ordered. I got an upgrade car, But had to pay the difference after I had already reserved a full-size car and it was not available. Actually, there was one available but as I inspected the car, there was too many small dents in it that I did not want to take it and it wasn't washed. so I settled for the upgrade car With the extra fee which I wasn't happy about there was no accommodation in this reservation and I had the car for four days. No courtesy call after the rental was done to explain to them my unsatisfactory rental. Maybe more training to their agents and better customer service is appreciated read more

I will be honest and say that walking in Friday morning to begin our rental for the weekend I would have rated much lower. The 1-800 number did not give us an accurate estimate and to my surprise the amount was more than I expected. What changed my mind is my interaction with the lovely lady that helped us. I can't recall her name to save my life but I really want her to know her service was outstanding. So I will describe her, she is a tall Latina with Curley blonde hair with colored eyes. She was professional and very understanding of the situation. She explained what was not quoted correctly, what the charges were, and the reason for them. She worked with us and made an adjustment to the price to be fair to us given the circumstances. Upon return the 15 passenger van the following Monday there was another hiccup but this time it was my fault. I totally misunderstood their charging policy. I was under the impression that if I would turn it in by COB Monday I would not get charged the additional day. That was not the case and I am not going to lie, I was very frustrated. So why give a 5 star rating for service that wasn't flawless? Because just like the lady the Friday before, the gentleman at the counter put customer service and satisfaction first. He adjusted our price to reflect what I was expecting to pay. Nothing is ever perfect but working with a staff that understands customer service makes all the difference. Thank you so much for making my rental experience a positive one. We will definitely be renting from you again. We will just avoid the 800 number and go directly to your location LOL. read more

My family has rented a handful of cars over the past few years and this morning as we were trying to rent a car to go out of town. The employee Jose Diaz was by far has the worse customer service we have ever experience .He check us in took our credit card and told us now wait as he took a phone in the middle of checking us in and then took another customer as he made us wait he was rude .His mannerism was horrible. My husband and I will think twice before returning back to this location for any future Business . I would like to say the young girl Alex Flori was sweet kind and show compassion towards our concerned in how we were treated at the front desk. She has amazing customer service . Coleveion B. made the paperwork experience pleasant and easy. He went out of his way to be professional and kind, with me and my daughter. We will be renting from him again soon. Coleveion helped me and even showed me around the vehicle and answered all my questions including providing the emergency contact number if I had a problem with the vechicle. My car was vandalized therefore had to rent a car, this is the worst location I had to deal with. The guy helping me couldn't even tell me details about the contract I had to sign before renting the car. They told me they needed to clean the rental and then told me to just take it like that.. dirty .... oh and don't forget to return with the exact gas if not they will change you triple the price a gallon . Also your credit card is tied and can charge you whatever whenever.. I've had to make calls in the past for fraudulent charges. Super unprofessional read more

I reserved a Maxima a month in advance and the only car that was available was a FORD EDGE the only good thing about it was it had a full tank of gas. The SUV was completely filthy, After spending 20 bucks and a hour and a half of my time waxing all of the scratches off of the car it was finally a good rental....If I ran my businesses this way I would be out of business. POOR customer service and VERY poor execution of how you should present a car to a customer....I would rather of spent more money at Hertz or another viable car rental. read more

Was hit by another driver and had to get a rental for about 10 days. I have USAA which is like the most incredible insurance agency so they helped make the experience so effortless but this enterprise also made my experience flawless. Customer service was awesome; they picked me up from the body shop and took me to their office and gave me a brand new VERY CLEAN beautiful Camry in less than 10 minutes. My car was getting some service done at Carmax, and since it was going to need a few more days as expected, the customer service at Carmax was able to get me into a rental car in which they were going to take care of. The process was super easy- my service guy sent me over to the Enterprise across the way, & I was then handed off to Nick, one of the manager associates in training. When I walked in, he knew exactly what I was in for and took good care of me. After signing a few papers and performing precautionary checks, I was in my rental car within 30 minutes of walking in. Because Carmax and insurance was going to cover this rental, it was absolutely stress free. Originally I was to get a small sedan, but Nick was able to get me an upgrade for a small SUV for free, thanks Nick! After we both performed the inspection for both inside and outside of the vehicle, I was then on my way... Returning the vehicle was an easy process. Enterprise had me return the car at Carmax, and associates from Enterprise went to pick it up. I really appreciated the customer service huddle here and the way my experience flowed smoothly. Only con is that the car smelled like cigarettes.. Note: Sit in your rental for a few minutes to make sure it doesn't stank. read more

I had a terrible experience with EDDIE at this location. I had made a reservation online to pick up a rental car. I called while I was en route to the place to confirm the deposit amount. When Eddie told me a deposit amount that was $100 more than I was quoted at an earlier date, I began to ask questions about their deposit policies. After I had asked him MAYBE 4 questions, EDDIE told me that he had 5 call lines blinking and he could no longer speak to me. His exact words were "I gotta go." I have no other option but to use this rental because I need it And I already had the reservation. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this location again. Be aware of them....They had a scam...I had an accident and the insurance company rented a car through them...They asked me for a credit card to verify my identity. When I returned this car, they told me no charge but after a week I found they charged my credit card $100. I called the manager of that location his name is Matt Brux and he said they charge my card and I can not do anything !! They are involved in the fraud. I reported them to my credit card company and disputed their scam. read more
