I'm so happy this place exists in Corvallis! It's the perfect place to get your geek on with a few…read morefriends. They have a very up to date and comprehensive collection of modern board games in their library to play (think Catan, Azul, and Ticket to Ride). The beer, cider, and wine options are good, but only in cans (Block 15, Two Towns, etc). The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. And the snacks are reasonable and practical as well. They have full bags of popcorn, pretzels, etc (like grocery store sized) so you can buy one and share. It's also open late enough to have time to get a game or two in. The daily fee is just $5 / person to play and gain use of the massive library. If you are new to town or just on your own, they have movies playing and a large selection of graphic novels to check out. They also host "Learn to Play" nights where you can learn a new game at meet other people. The owners are super nice and are always willing to help with rules for games and picking out games to play. Note: There is a membership fee that is waived if you are a student or if you are sponsored by a member. My advice is definitely go with a member and get sponsored to get that membership fee waived. Lastly, the games for purchase are more reasonable than most Local Friendly Game Stores and they have a surprisingly good selection given their small space. Overall, Gamagora is a great option for some evening entertainment and doing something different on a date night. I have had nothing but great experiences there and will definitely be going back regularly!

The store front is clean and captivating while the club area is organized with maximum room for relaxing game play. Everyone who works there is kind, courteous, and passionate about the business as well as the experience they offer.

Radar Toys is my new favorite toy store. I'm kind of annoyed I didn't know about it before today…read more But I'll definitely be back. My husband was looking for a small local toy store to go buy a birthday gift for our baby nephew. So this is the store we picked. We'd planned to go to Target as a backup plan. I'd also fully expected we would go in here and find something and have to buy it on Amazon because it would be significantly cheaper. But that wasn't the case, and that made me so happy. Their prices are absolutely reasonable, even for things that are normally insane and overpriced. I was really impressed. The staff that are working clearly love their job and are incredibly helpful. They greeted us when we walked in, let us explore, and answered all of our questions, taking us to certain aisles and showed us things. We were definitely welcomed in the store. We ended up buying two toys for our nephew's first birthday, and I'm definitely coming back when Christmas comes closer. This is such an amazing small local business to support and everyone should take the time to stop by.

This place is really cool. They've got a great selection for both western comics and Japanese…read morefigures. Figures pricing is a bit higher than you'd find online, but that's common for brick and mortar shops. Great atmosphere and the staff is friendly. I picked up some DC Trades and a DC PRIDE collection. Pretty cool.

What a great store. We were in Salem to visit Willamette U and had about an hour to kill. My kids…read morelove games and we were possibly interested in getting a new one. They didn't have the one we wanted, but they have a library of demo games that you can play, and we were welcomed to sit and play for a bit. We had a great time - it was clean, quiet (in the middle of a weekday) and they are great to let people hang out and play for free. My only quibble is the decor is a little dark for my taste - I love the vibe at Modern Games in Bend, but that store charges you to stay and play. We'll definitely plan to come back and support this store next time we're in the area.

They are likely selling resealed pokémon booster packs. We picked up some packs today that we later…read morequestioned while looking at them. My son is kind of new to the pokémon game so we decided to take pictures and opened the packs anyway. We emailed those pictures to another reputable card shop owner who said the packs should never be opened at all. You can see in the pictures they're open at the top in some corners. This is just a few of the packs that we picked up. So keep an eye out if you go there to get pokémon cards because if the booster packs are being resealed it's likely most of the other Pokemon product is as well. I was also told that it's really the shops prerogative if they wish to sell resealed packs. Apparently they pick them up from scalpers. And what would they care anyhow It's all profit.
