Man this place is a hidden gem. Walked in and was greeted by the owner who was more than helpful. The menu was actually a lot of different items at a very reasonable prices. Top of the line meat and bread are used in making these sandwiches. Go and check this place out. Food is out of this world. Place is also very clean with a workman's type of vibe. read more

The best way To get a decent lunch is at this place. Euro Express, there's nothing else more to say, but the food is very good. The people are very nice. You all are it and it is so fast. When they make it, it is absolutely very good. I go there for breakfast and lunch on the occasions. Whenever I pass I go there and I get my food and they have very respectful. First time trying this spot out. Got a chicken cutlet sammich onions. Lettuce, tomato, avocado. Food quality was great and every ingredient was fresh. Chicken was juicy and didn't taste microwaved. This place is a gem and stuck in the middle of an industrial park near MacArthur airport. The staff are upbeat and welcoming. The ambiance is open and spotless. Most importaunlike many other sandwich shops, they don't skimp on the meat. Excellent portions and quite tasty sandwich shop at a quite unexpected location. I guess that's why they close quite early at 5pm as they're located in an industrial/business area and not much competition around the block. I was quite hesitant to give this place a try because of its location but really glad I followed my yelp reviewer's recommendations :) Definitely try some of their chicken sandwiches, huge cuts of chicken that are very juicy and delicious, the bacon on top really makes it one of my top favorites. For the size of the sandwich its really quite a bargain at around $7-8. The girls at the counter worked pretty fast although we were the only patrons there when we arrived. Very happy with my visit and definitely will be coming here for quick pick up trips. They don't really have too much exotic and creative sandwiches but for what they have they make them really quite well. read more

Sandwich shop. With a name like Hero Express, there isn't a whole lot left to the imagination as to what they are in business for... Serving breakfast, lunch and i believe dinner - they make everything to order and there is quite a large selection of items to choose from. You place your order, find a drink, if you so desire and wait for them to call you - all in all a quick and easy process. I thought it was a little pricey but to be honest, it is getting harder and harder to find any place that serves a cheap lunch - so I'll continue to keep an eye on that. Holy breakfast sandwich! I was in town for a meeting at the airport and had some time to kill so I stopped in for breakfast. I got the lumberjack breakfast sandwich which was amazing. This is a pretty standard Long Island Hero (sub) sandwich place. I got their italian sub which is a cold sub with serveral different types of meat (Spicy Cap, Prosciutto, & Salami), provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato & onion with oil & vinegar. I added a little mayo & pepper based on my own personal tastes. It was a large and tasty hero. My wife got the chicken deluxe which is essential a chicken parm cutlet with melted cheese on a garlic bread. It is worth noting that it does not come with the red sauce associated with a chicken parm though. I'm certain that if you wanted the sauce, they'd add it though. My boys got a ham and cheese sandwich (completely undressed) and a bagel with cream cheese. Nothing too noteworthy with those orders. The price was very affordable and the service was very friendly and Long Island. If you are looking for a sub sandwich in this neck of the woods, this place is a pretty good option. read more

Really disappointing. We stopped for heros which I have enjoyed in the past. Decided on meatloaf. Asked for toasted roll, got home to find soggy, not toasted hero and what looked like dogfood instead of the nicely sliced meatloaf that was in the hot trays. Will probably be back but will I guess will stick with the executive. read more

I figured I didn't let them cook down enough to render all of the fat so yesterday I fried up a bunch again and added then to a pot of sauce and let them cook down for a much longer time. Same result with the lumps of grizzle. Although the flavor was good I have come to the conclusion that once again another pork place is adding cuts into the sausage that don't belong there. I threw what I had left in the freezer into the garbage. Why is it that no one makes a good sausage without it having hard grizzle or bone fragments anymore? I can remember when I was young and my mother made sausage in the sauce this was never an issue. They were always easy to chew and delicious. Now you have to worry about breaking your teeth! I am sadly giving up on trying to find good Italian sausage. Since Swan Butcher closed in Bethpage, no one knows how to make it anymore. I am sorry to say we will not be back.

Pick up is down by the register and someone made sure I got the right order. I always appreciate a personal touch from a staff member. Also, don't sleep on the tuna. It was actually very tasty. And this spot is a lot more spacial than it looked with a few spots to eat inside.

It's a quaint neighborhood deli with over 100 years of history, which is why I kept giving it chance after chance. I've ordered from this deli many times. On Father's Day, I ordered three egg sandwiches around 10:00 a.m. I arrived at 10:30 to pick them up and still waited another 15 minutes. After spending about $35, the order was wrong. Again, I let it go. Today was the final straw. I ordered two egg sandwiches and a small deli iced tea for delivery. The total was $33 before tip. The owner, John, delivered the order himself. He rang my Ring doorbell twice but never knocked. We completed the exchange without issue. When I opened the bag, the order was wrong--again. I called and politely asked to speak with the owner. I explained that my order had been made incorrectly. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, John hung up on me. I called back three more times, and each time either he or his staff hung up on me. I drove to the deli to speak with him face-to-face. His response was simply, "That's unfortunate," and he refused to remake the sandwiches or offer any refund or solution. Everyone makes mistakes. What separates a good business from a bad one is how those mistakes are handled. I wasn't angry about an incorrect sandwich--I was shocked by the complete lack of customer service, accountability, and basic respect. After years of overlooking mistakes and trying to support a local business, this experience has guaranteed I will never return. There are plenty of delis that appreciate their customers and stand behind their service. Unfortunately, Maple St. Deli isn't one of them.
