1 Star Absolutely…read moreawful experience. I called Hydroforce on December 17th after a burst pipe flooded my townhome. I was told over the phone that they handled plumbing. Once they arrived, I was informed they do NOT do plumbing and that I would need to call someone else. That was the first red flag. Since water still needed to be removed, I let them extract it, which took about an hour. The next day, I hired a licensed plumber who repaired the pipe for $399 -- far below my $2,100 deductible -- so I canceled my insurance claim. When I called Hydroforce to let them know I wouldn't be using insurance, I was encouraged to submit a larger invoice to my insurance company. I refused and asked for a bill for the actual work performed. They sent me a $953 invoice with no itemization and my name spelled incorrectly. They also pushed for unnecessary demolition, claiming mold concerns. I later had an independent inspection confirming there was no mold. Their equipment sat in my living room for three days because they "had no one available" to retrieve it -- yet they charged me for those days. After trying multiple times to negotiate (I offered $550 for roughly one hour of water extraction), they instead threatened legal action and sent a Notice of Intent to Lien on my property. I filed a BBB complaint, and only then did they generate a newly itemized invoice nearly two months after the incident. This has been an extremely stressful situation. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

I wasn't going to write a review on this company but it's really bothersome! I mean the deception…read moreand lies is unbelievable! We resently had hail storms and they came and I entertained them because I don't have any idea what to look for as far as roof issues, so the guy insisted to go up to the roof and inspect and then he came down and showed me pictures, lots of them with red circles telling me those are the damages that hail causes he assured me that my insurance will cover and I have to contact my insurance for inspection which I did, I doubted anything he says since I don't hear anyone in my neighborhood complaining about damages infact none in my neighborhood had any issues, he also told me my neighbor down the road-(he gave me the address)also had damage that they are tending which I found out it is not true and I told this roofing guy that it is not true. So the insurance adjuster came along, the roofing company wants to be here as well so they can point out the issues, I was told that they don't have any doubts that this claim can be denied as I have more damages than the other customers they had that was approved. Adjuster denied all the claims and no hail damage noted. This roofing company still insisted hail damages are visible. So they wanted to come up again and inspect, that's already been inspected 3 times. He wanted to appeal and resubmit additional pictures to my insurance. Before he come up to check the roof I talked to this guy and told him about the denial of the claim and the reason why, when he came down he told me the adjuster is right, no visible damages on my roof????? I mean, where are the red circles they've been showing me earlier?? this is a straight up lies and deception!!! But I am so glad I don't have any damages on my roof but why lie to me straight in my eyes. Oh my God. Talking about trust here. 3 people from this roofing company lied to me and the sad part is their manager came here too and saying the same thing.

They did not replace the boards under the roof, reused the old flashing, which was practically crumpled tinfoil at that point, did not properly flash anything, some flashing is even missing, and the granules of the roof are already weathered after a year. Now my chimney is leaking from poor flashing. Erik did not even ask for payment until 6 months later, likely because he knew they did a bad job. Would not recommend.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!…read more I made the giant mistake of hiring Rescue Cleaning & Fire Restoration after a pipe burst in my home. They moved all of my property - furniture, appliances, etc. - into their storage facility to complete repairs, which included replacing the flooring and some drywall. The day before they told me they would move me back into my home, they sent a fraudulent invoice with $5k worth of work they did not do, and informed me that they would be holding all of my property hostage until the phony bill was paid in full. Flat out extortion. This situation has been dragging on for months, with no end in sight. They wait a week or more between communications, refusing to provide any substantive information to my insurance adjuster or to provide an accurate, written invoice. Anytime they have been forced to remove one fraudulent charge they just make up a new one to take its place. There is not enough space here to detail all of the horrors of dealing with these con men (but if you're interested, you can look up the formal complaint I filed with the IL Atty General). They are the most disreputable, dishonest company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. With all the nonsense I have been subjected to by these people it's almost a secondary issue, but the work they actually DID do was incredibly overpriced and unprofessional (eg: charging $700 to paint an empty 10'x12' room, the end result of which was markedly worse than the previous DIY job). Experiencing a significant loss in your home through a flood or a fire is stressful and traumatic enough on its own. Don't make your situation infinitely worse by getting involved with con men. Save yourself the heartache and hire literally ANYONE ELSE. These scammers take advantage of people for a living and should be in prison.

To my un-expert eye it looked like they did everything they were supposed to--they tented the garage, had a guy in a hazmat-type suit work, and hauled off all the shingles safely. This work was done a long time ago (2008?) but the work they did stood out in my mind.
