My block in Chicago is currently undergoing the lead pipe replacement project. I was required to remove a section of old asbestos tile on the basement floor to have my feeder pipe replaced. I found Bluestone first, filled out the on-line form and was promptly contacted. I had a quote the following day and they arranged for the air quality test required by the city contractor on my behalf. The were able to schedule me in less than a week, showed up promptly and completed the job, coordinating with the Air Quality testing company to have everything done in just a few hours. I was impressed by both their promptness and professionalism and highly recommend them. read more

Good afternoon everyone, I normally do not write reviews however I felt that I needed to tell the people that will be using this company a few things. First I will tell you they are professionals, they take their work serious. The way I found this company is through my AI app. It rated this company first of the top five companies it had suggested. I called the company for information about their service, after our conversation I was satisfied that this was the company that was going to remove the mold and asbestos from my daughter's newly purchased house. I made an appointment for one of their experts to come and evaluate the problem in my daughter's basement, Ron was terrific, he gave me all the information that I needed to know. He assured me that this would be dine in 3 days, as it was finished on the 3rd day, Those 3 days of work was done by Paul and his crew, I'm goin to tell you , Paul and his crew were fabulous, when they finished with the basement I was impressed. I'm sorry for such a long review but this is an expensive job and I felt that it was very important that everyone understood where they were spending their money.... Do not hesitate to hire this company to do the work they describe THEY ARE GREAT... Thank You 5 star rating read more

Got an estimate and appointment for basement asbestos tile removal: the crew was on time, courteous, and professional, and the bill was exactly the same as the quote: no hidden fees, etc. They did an incredible job! read more

Kareem and his teammate were AH-MAZ-ING! I'll be the first to admit that agreeing to a 7:00am Monday morning appointment made me less than pleased when the day came, but they literally put a smile on my face! They were efficient in their work, walked us through the process as they moved from step to step, and kept my house super neat, which I greatly appreciated! If you have an older Chicago bungalow and want them to check out your crawl spaces or vents, I HIGHLY recommend working with Bluestone for peace of mind! read more

Eric, Ron, Jenny and team were a pleasure to work with. Very professional, responsive and always available to answer questions. They did a big job; Asbestos abetment, for us on three buildings. They did everything they said they would do. We highly recommend them. Hometown Mercy Mosque read more

During the inspection process to purchase a 100 year old home, I had Bluestone out to estimate removal of asbestos pipe insulation and to inspect for evidence of other asbestos. They were able to provide a timely estimate for asbestos removal especially given the rush of the inspection period during the home purchasing process. The estimate was reasonable, and the first thing I had done after I closed was to have Bluestone out to do the asbestos removal. I was able to get them scheduled pretty quickly, and they completed the work efficiently and left everything clean and safe. read more

I had a 6:00 am appointment due to the heat of the day, and I'm not a morning person. Kareem and his crew arrived on time, advised me of everything involved with the matter at hand, the process ran about two days, and my interaction with him was like family. Extremely knowledgeable about the procedure, courteous and a real people person. In my humble opinion a valued asset to your company. I am a retired Deputy Sheriff, and Army Soldier , I was really impressed with your employee's. Forever Grateful Marvin B read more

These professionals did a great job with a basement asbestos removal project in late 2020. My review is a little late, but you all should know they lived up to every item promised on estimate and contract. They were also organized, professional and courteous to work with. And, though were weren't looking to hire least expensive, their pricing was below other quotes received. That, combined with their professionalism made us confident in our choice. No compromising anything with this company. Highly recommend. read more

I had a really good experience with Bluestone. The company was recommended by a neighbor, who received several estimates for asbestos removal and Bluestone was the lowest. We called the company to get an estimate on 800 sq ft of asbestos tile removal. The quote was reasonable and our estimator, Ron, made himself available by e-mail for questions until we were ready to schedule. Everything was conducted in a quick and professional manner: we received an estimate and a copy of test results within a couple of days, and Jenny, the office manager, called me as soon as I returned the signed quote to schedule the job. Communication was great. The crew that came to our house was on time. The project supervisor explained the process and got his crew ready to work, with minimal disruption to us. I highly recommend this company if you find yourself in a not-so-great situation of discovering asbestos in your home. read more

We bought a house that had a few little bits of asbestos tape left on one of the air ducts. They're prices were affordable and they were able to come and encapsulate it for a reasonable price. They worked fast and even scheduled a third-party air test afterwards to make sure there was no airborne asbestos. I'd definitely use them again. read more

We were about to get our floors replaced when we realized we had asbestos in the tiles underneath the carpet. We called Bluestone and they stopped by the house to inspect/test the day of. We engaged with them and everything went smoothly and according to plan. Their team has been super helpful walking me through the process and answering any of my questions. I would definitely recommend! read more

We asked Bluestone to come out and look at an area an inspector identified as "possible asbestos". As it turned out, there was no asbestos to be found. So while we did not contract them for removal, the process to book them for an estimate was seamless, and the two gentleman that came out to look were on time, professional, and friendly. I like the way this company does business and would recommend them to others dealing with possible asbestos in an old house. read more

bluestone is excellent. we could not be more satisfied with the quality of service provided. ron was absolutely wonderful and professional in all respects, sharing his expertise with ease and understandability. we highly recommended them. read more

I had asbestos tiles with this nasty, impossible to budge black asbestos mastic adhering them to my basement floor. My plan was to encase the asbestos tiles under some ceramic tiles, but unfortunately I've had seepage in my foundation, so I scrapped that idea in lieu of removing the asbestos tiles and mastic completely and doing a simple concrete and epoxy basement floor. It was not that easy to find an abatement company and I had to make a lot of calls. Bluestone was professional and experienced and inspired confidence through the whole process. Ron Miller was my estimator and he was on time and knew his stuff. I obtained 3 estimates and Bluestone came in the lowest. Another company was also able to complete the work in one day, however they were a lot more expensive. A third company was a little more expensive than Bluestone and there was a 3 week waiting period. That company was a one-man shop and it would have taken him several days to do the job. I know my job was on the more difficult side due to the cement-like mastic. Additionally, my house is a construction zone with no working bathroom, but none of this was a problem for Bluestone. They told me they routinely abate homes with no running water or electricity. They are experts. Their team was able to remediate my entire basement which is quite large in less than one day. There was no damage to the drywall we had just installed. Everything was cleaned beautifully. They have several abatement teams and will be able to do your job quickly. I can't recommend these guys enough. I am very happy with their work. Thank you, Bluestone. read more

The work they did was Amazing they came on time and they cleaned everything so perfectly. Simon Martinez was very helpful and so nice. I highly recommend them you definitely will get your moneys worth. Definitely worth it. read more

We had a small project for our business location, with some asbestos on an old sprinkler pipe that had to be removed. The entire process was flawless, from the office staff, estimate, to the work being completed. Such a pleasure to have people that follow up and are organized and do what they promised. Thank you for everything! read more

Asbestos had to be removed from our basement water pipe that required work. What I originally anticipated to be a very unpleasant experience actually turned out to be effortless. Kareem did an excellent job of explaining the process, setting up and removing the asbestos, and meeting with the scheduled third party performing the air test. Thanks to the professionalism of Bluestone the project was a success. Five Star all the way. Jayne K, Evanston read more

Work, price, and behavior of personnel and workers exceeded expectations.

Every experience with this company exceeded my expectations, and I'm picky! Their employees were punctual, professional and personable, extremely pleasant to deal with. They did a great job, answered my questions and left the entire area cleaner than it was when they arrived. I received a courteous call the day before to remind me and to top it off, they matched a quote from a competitor that was considerably lower. The way this company does business sets the standard for excellence. read more

Bought a foreclosed house whom the company who performed the mold remediation originally did not 100% do there job so I had to call several mold companies to came over and give out an estimate. Ron Miller was sent out and I would say he explained the process they do,walked around the area and gave his professional opinion on what needs to be done and explained why they are different from other mold contractors. Answered all my question and was very professional. It boils down to the quality of work and the type of encapsulant they use, not the cheapeast.I got the proposal, I would love to go with them but my budget can not. They are not the most expensive and not the cheapest but in the middle. I gave them 5 stars from the estimate experience read more

I have used Bluestone twice now for asbestos abatement, once for flooring removal in a renovation and then for the removal of old asbestos-covered ducts. I plan to use them again for siding removal. Every person I've worked with at Bluestone has been absolutely professional. They are always pleasant to deal with, communicate clearly what is happening and why, arrive on time, work efficiently, leave the place cleaner than they found it, and clearly take pride in a job well done. I have confidence that they care as much as I do about having the work done right and protecting my family's health and our property, and that counts for a lot when you're dealing with the stress that comes with knowing you have an asbestos issue in your house. I got cheaper bids, but the price I've paid has been reasonable and absolutely worth the service I've received. Thanks, Bluestone! read more

I hired this company to remove asbestos tiles from my house. They came and gave me an estimate. I was told i only need to remove the kitchen cabinets and they will take care of the rest. When they came to do the job they dislocated the banister because some of the tile went an inch under. If they had told me before i would've removed it carefully myself, just like the cabinets, so it doesn't get damaged in the process. They also did not call me while working to ask me how they want me to proceed with it. After talking with their office and sending them pictures, they still did not want to take anything off the price so i can pay my flooring guy to fix it. They just said your flooring guy can fix it. Of course he can. But for every extra job he does, i have to pay. When i asked them to get the upstairs air checked, i paid them extra. As they should, for something they messed up. I don't understand how they can be so unreasonable. read more
