SEVERE HEALTH, SAFETY AND ETHICAL CONCERNS Joe would you please address publicly why your company doesn't address the entire sq ft in attics that you are contracted to do, yet you still bill for it? Was it just my house that you didn't address the entire roof deck and joists or is that your standard practice for all your customers that have insulation? Joe please address the questions above and avoid deflecting by stating that the initial contract was between you and the seller of my house. Per my request, the seller was required to remove the mold in the attic. Your warranty states it transfers to any subsequent owner, which is me. In my case, Mold Pro only treated easily visible sections, which ultimately left the mold that was the closest to my ceiling and closest to my family, it went unnoticed for 3 years! For 3 years we thought we had a healthy and safe house we were living in. It was all a lie! I gave them a chance to rectify the situation, they still didn't address the areas in question within the original scope, had the audacity to ask for additional payment and they have been unwilling to refund the contract. I ultimately had to go with someone else to complete the job. If you have used Mold Pro in the past or decide to use them in the future, I strongly urge you to inspect the corners of your attic. Also, verify in writing with Mold Pro that they will indeed move/adjust insulation to address all mold that is within the scope of the contract. Update: Response to the business owner... Hey Joe, According to the CDC, air samples for mold testing cannot accurately represent the actual exposure to mold inside of a residence. You have been misleading customers by offering air testing for mold fully knowing that is not reliable. I was a new homeowner in distress about the possibility of mold in my home and you suggested this exact service. You never mentioned any other ways to accurately test for mold and I trusted you. You never gave me the option to test for mold inside the walls. Previous Review: Stay away from these con artists! I hired them to do a mold inspection in my home back in November of 2022. They tested various rooms for a total of $500. The results came back immediately saying that everything was good. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, I noticed an electrical wire smell coming from a room they tested. Once the electrician opened the wall the noticed mold immediately. A separate company conducted a mold inspection and it turns out four walls in my home are covered in mold. These are the same walls Mold Pro Chicago said were "good" in their inspection report. Only a fraudulent company that allegedly specializes in inspecting mold would miss something like this. I requested a refund from Mold Pro Chicago who took my payment via Zelle (that should have been the first red flag) and my requests have been ignored. Because they faked that mold inspection, electrical wires inside the wall have been burning for months. Joseph Cascone and his team are playing with people's lives and that is not OK. I called asking to get Mold removed from my basement. I let him know I needed to get mold removed and was thinking about moving my room to a different position if needed. I wasn't able to be there and per our conversation I thought he would eliminate the mold and have my small storage room looking better, instead of being transparent with me he gutted out my room and left it that way. He stated the paperwork he sent didn't have it listed as the drywall being replaced. At that moment I felt scammed, because I'm not a contractor and don't have much experience with this kind of work. I feel like I was over charged for work others would have done without leaving my room with more work needed and no remedy. He could have been transparent so that I would have been prepared to have drywall put back up. He also didn't fix the problem that caused the mold so I have to stay longer to figure out how to get the room put back together. I live out of town and this has added more stress and travel. How is the mold eliminated if the problem isn't fixed. Just a headache. And a waste of money I now have to hire someone else to fix this problem. This was the company that remediated some mold in the attic when we were looking to buy our home before we moved in, so we hadn't dealt with them, but I am so glad that the previous owners did. We ended up using them again because we had discovered possible mold in our wall due to an issue with our roof that allowed moisture to drip against and into the walls. Joe was so prompt with responses via email and text and scheduled his techs to come take a look. They talked us through the process, what they were going to do, and even though the mold ended up being a bit bigger than what we had been expecting, they didn't raise their initial quote on us.
