It's attached to an outdoor splash park with water attractions including a massive dump bucket. Adequate parking. Felt safe as it's located next to the police station. There are plenty of places nearby to grab a bite within the walking distance.

There are trails to walk through with little streams and bridges and downed trees that are perfect for any season. The pond hosts ducks in the spring and summer which are fun to watch. There are plenty of picnic tables and pavilions to eat at or rent. Lots of different play structures are dotted around, our favorite being the large wooden one. There's even bunches and seating in the center. The best part is that there is a smaller toddler wooden park within the big one which is fenced with one entrance and exit right by the seating with swings. The highlight of the park, though, is the splash pad in summer. It's geared more towards young children and toddlers, probably kindergarten and below, but it's a lot of fun to spread a blanket in the shade while the kids play.

They have a playground (with bathrooms in the back) and the trail goes down a paved steep decline that then leads into the boardwalk path way. It is not the most stroller friendly mainly because you are dodging a TON of swan and geese poop the whole time. And it can be bumpy on some parts. But the whole pathway is pretty unique with bridges connecting it (at least 5 bridges) and there is one lookout spot you can go to. We went on a beautiful sunny and windy day and loved it!! Saw so many birds (I have never seen so many swans together before) and nests!! Lots of people fish here too. What a gem! Definitely coming back!

The actual splash/water part is usually pretty clean and well maintained. What makes it great for us is that the water area is totally wheelchair accessible. There is one weird patch of grass we have to cross over to get to the water. It's weird they didn't lay concrete right up to the water area, but that is just a minor inconvenience. All in all a fun spot to spend a hot day.

The playground, splash pad, restrooms, and baseball/soccer fields appear to be well taken care of and I've never felt unsafe while running through. I'd give it five stars if Dearborn didn't get all rude and uptight about the way they run their parks.
