Nothing better than a convenient, scenic, CENTRAL park, VERY user friendly and definitely offering something for everyone!! We took a post-dinner walk through and around this beautiful park, and if we had more time, I'm sure we would have discovered even more hidden "nooks and crannies" than we did in the short time we were there. From local guides, I see there are tons of special events here: concerts, festivals, markets... Great for jogging, dog walking, even saw some fly fishing going on in the river. Nice spot...

Super cool spacious park in downtown Ypsi. Nice long trails to walk around the park and bridges that take you across the water. Very pretty place to check out and they have a huge playground and events almost every week here

Decided to watch the Sunrise and headed to North Bay park which was closed. So took a detour and spent a few mins here and it had a decent path to Walk/Jog . Pros: ------- In Downtown Children's play area Picnic Shelter Benches to sit along the lake , it's pleasant. Free Parking Open by 6 Am. Frog Island park next to it for Foot ball

I really like this park. There's quite a few events that happen here during the summer months. Plus, it's connected to Frog Island Park, which is a plus. I always enjoy coming here because it's pretty awesome.

Great place to get away from it all, just a short walk from downtown Ypsi. Once you take a few steps down the hillside, the traffic and noise of downtown are forgotten. Plenty of parking. Good paths for bikes and walking. Acres of grass and lots of access to the river. The fishing is okay near the Michigan Avenue bridge, but through most of the park you won't have much luck. I hear the fishing is a lot better downstream. You can use the famous three-way bridge to get to frog island park, which has a nice track for running or walking.

There is a wonderful wooden bridge that connects the park to Frog Island Park and the rest of Depot Town, as well.

Not sure if they are just removing it or if they are creating a new one? Pittsfield township also often has fun activities in the park, like Halloween or St Patrick's Day themed walks/"scavenger hunts". Cute little touch.

I took time to walk along the path from the parking lot, past the soccer fields toward Turtle Pond. You'll need to walk about 0.5 miles to see the pond, but it's a lovely respite and seems dog-friendly. One downside is the proximity of I-94 which means that you'll hear the background noise of cars and trucks in the distance. It's not super-loud, but noticeable if you had expected a serene walk. Another downside is that the trail does not have clear signs or color stripes - but you can figure out the main route by using the pond as your guide. Would recommend folks staying in the hotels on the south side of Ann Arbor to give this park a try - it was really nice for jogging or a long walk.

There is a lot of green everywhere and soo many different flowers (especially the peonies before they were vandalized)!! We parked in the back where it is about a 15-20 min walk to the peonies. It was a nice and mostly shaded walk. We even saw a new bird (Great Crested Flycatcher)! I think it's only worth coming for the peonies but otherwise, it's free (unless you park in the front and then you have to pay).

We stopped by the visitor center and got a guide to the different types of peonies. They also had a restroom which was nice. We took the 2.7 Nichols Walking Trail and really enjoyed the nature, wildlife, scenic city overlooks, and the Huron river views. I would say it's a medium level of hard given that most of the path is easy walking but some steeper inclines and steps that get your heart rate working. It was incredibly pleasant, we spent a little over 90 mins exploring. Also, we learned there is free parking in the Blue M28 lot on the weekends and were able to utilize it! Looked like dogs were welcome, met some friendly pups. Saw people having a picnic in the park and a cute little free library! Such a wonderful place, really glad we came!

Also a PERFECT spot to watch the sunset, and even do some fishing. We searched out a nearby park to cap off our weekend visit to Belleville for the Thunder over Michigan Air Show, and this was a PERFECT spot, and walking distance to downtown, along with various bars/restaurants. This side of town seems to be older, more relaxed, while everything we had seen earlier in the weekend (off of the "main drag" Belleville Rd.) was more rushed, with plenty of chain restaurants that we wanted to avoid. The slow, relaxed walk along the water's edge of just a small portion of this wonderful town park did wonders to repair our (my) frazzled Air Show nerves, and to give us more of a real taste of this lovely area. Well kept-up, clean, nice walkways, benches and picnic tables, and a sunset that just can't be beat!! Hope to return again one day SOON!!!
