Cute little park with ample parking. Lots of people walking and biking around. The grounds could be maintained a bit more but still a decent park.

Nice, small "offshoot" of Riverside Park right in the heart of Depot Town in Ypsilanti. Sounds like there's a lot going on in these two green-spaces, especially during the warmer weather. While we were there, on a beautiful late afternoon/early evening Friday, we saw lots of joggers, some kids kicking around soccer balls, Frisbee players, and a number of people just hanging out, relaxing, and welcoming the weekend. There was a concert scheduled for the next day, and I'm sure there are plenty of events throughout the season... Nice spot!!

The Cross Street entrance in Depot Town. It's also accessible from Riverside Park via a boardwalk over the Huron River.

Frog Island is Beautiful. I enjoy walking along the path and track. There are a bunch of places to walk along the Huron river.

It's a park. Frog Island is big. Not bad for frat boys playing soccer, local artists making movies or sleeping. I do all three often!

Not sure if they are just removing it or if they are creating a new one? I took time to walk along the path from the parking lot, past the soccer fields toward Turtle Pond. You'll need to walk about 0.5 miles to see the pond, but it's a lovely respite and seems dog-friendly. One downside is the proximity of I-94 which means that you'll hear the background noise of cars and trucks in the distance. It's not super-loud, but noticeable if you had expected a serene walk. Another downside is that the trail does not have clear signs or color stripes - but you can figure out the main route by using the pond as your guide. Would recommend folks staying in the hotels on the south side of Ann Arbor to give this park a try - it was really nice for jogging or a long walk.

Water level seemed a bit low and there was some trash in the water. The children's playground is a highlight bright and colorful easily seen from a distance. I was somewhat disappointed to smell marijuana from quite a distance from the guys smoking near the restroom. I avoided that area - don't want a secondary high! This is one of my favorite parks I enjoyed last summer. Nice walkway along the river, there's so much scenery. There is a cute little spot near the gazebo to sit back and watch the river roll through. That is my favorite spot in the park and I atleast spend 15 minutes whenever I'm there. I enjoyed watching the river flow and listen to the water. Great place for a quiet stroll. Love the multi tiered bridges over the water! Good place to bring kids and have relaxed outdoor activities. This park had frequently hosts different events through out spring, summer and fall before COVID. Parking is available on North and South sides of the park. Parking near the playground is usually busy, cars are parked up and down the drive down to the park. This park also connects to Frog Island Park through the bridge.

There is a lot of green everywhere and soo many different flowers (especially the peonies before they were vandalized)!! We parked in the back where it is about a 15-20 min walk to the peonies. It was a nice and mostly shaded walk. We even saw a new bird (Great Crested Flycatcher)! I think it's only worth coming for the peonies but otherwise, it's free (unless you park in the front and then you have to pay).

We stopped by the visitor center and got a guide to the different types of peonies. They also had a restroom which was nice. We took the 2.7 Nichols Walking Trail and really enjoyed the nature, wildlife, scenic city overlooks, and the Huron river views. I would say it's a medium level of hard given that most of the path is easy walking but some steeper inclines and steps that get your heart rate working. It was incredibly pleasant, we spent a little over 90 mins exploring. Also, we learned there is free parking in the Blue M28 lot on the weekends and were able to utilize it! Looked like dogs were welcome, met some friendly pups. Saw people having a picnic in the park and a cute little free library! Such a wonderful place, really glad we came!

Also a PERFECT spot to watch the sunset, and even do some fishing. We searched out a nearby park to cap off our weekend visit to Belleville for the Thunder over Michigan Air Show, and this was a PERFECT spot, and walking distance to downtown, along with various bars/restaurants. This side of town seems to be older, more relaxed, while everything we had seen earlier in the weekend (off of the "main drag" Belleville Rd.) was more rushed, with plenty of chain restaurants that we wanted to avoid. The slow, relaxed walk along the water's edge of just a small portion of this wonderful town park did wonders to repair our (my) frazzled Air Show nerves, and to give us more of a real taste of this lovely area. Well kept-up, clean, nice walkways, benches and picnic tables, and a sunset that just can't be beat!! Hope to return again one day SOON!!!
