I visit at least one time a year for the Dearborn Decades 5k. Beautiful place to have a race.

This is a really nice neighborhood park. I found this place on my google maps because I wanted to…read morewalk on a track with my kid. So I gave it a shot and drove up there. The playground is huge and looks like so much fun for children. There's also a gated waterpark right next to the play ground called H20 Spray park. Not sure when it opens to the public but I believe you do have to pay to enter. As you walk further down, you'll see a concession stand and another building with outside seating along with a hanging sign that says Westand Lions Club. And There's a pond area with a fountain in the middle. Lastly, there's a soccer field with a 2 lane track going around it - 1 lap is 0.5mi. After exploring the area, I went around the track a few times. I had a Very nice time.

I'm a pet owner and love to walk her [Abby] here, I have to mention way to many people aren't doing the right thing and cleaning up after their dogs. Owners who say the poop bags aren't earth friendly, that's a crock! I only buy bags that break down and you can too! Anyway, I hate to say to many nice things, then everyone else goes then it gets crowded splash zone, play grounds, skate board concrete area which is amazing, wish I had that growing up. Food/snack stand, picnic areas, just a beautiful park.

As a novice of woodworking, I was blown-away by the intricate woodwork and finishings throughout the home. The three ladies that lead our tour of the home shared many interesting details about the property, its restoration, and details of Clara and Henry's years at the estate. Many of the restoration stories, like finding a tub for Henry's bathroom or how Clara had a section repainted white were intriguing. Even though much of the home, especially the second floor, is still being restored it was a fascinating experience.

There wasn't much actually open amongst the majestic-looking buildings while I was there, but the picnic area was hopping. The signage was bilingual-in English and Arabic-and what appeared to be a Yemeni wedding seemed to be taking place. The juxtaposition of the estate of an industrialist (or robber baron, or visionary, or racist, depending on your point of view) with a distinctive immigrant community makes for a striking reflection on Americana. The grounds include some gardens, and a lake with a path around it. Access to the river is limited, but it didn't look like that impressive of a river. The greenery is more worthwhile.
