A nice park with something for everyone. Good sized playground, tennis courts, and baseball field. I saw a few portable potties and a bathroom structure. I came for the hiking trails. I enjoyed being in the woods even with the mosquitos. I tried to follow the map but the trail markers are haphazard. If you enter by the ball field, you have the option to go left or right for the longer blue trail. Going straight leads into the red trail for the inner loop. However, from my pictures you will notice the irregularity of the markers. Some look like they were created by frustrated hikers or adjoining property owners who want to keep people off their land. However, it is hard to get lost on the the two mile trail as you will see the border with private houses and cars.

Really nice park! I've been visiting here since I was a kid and playing on the playground. They have a playground, tennis courts, volleyball nets, picnic tables throughout the park, and large walking/bike track. I walk the track all the time and it's very nice. There's also hiking trails and a baseball diamond behind the main park area. There's five pavilions that you can rent for groups/parties. You can reserve a pavilion through Livonia Parks and Rec's website/app. Prices vary based on the size of the pavilion. A few pavilions accommodate 175-200 people while others accommodate 25-30 people. Large pavilions are up to $200 while the most inexpensive pavilion is $135 for non-residents and $65 for residents. You choose a start and end time and can choose any block/amount of time for the set price mentioned above. There are grills by every pavilion and you can also request electricity for an additional cost. There are also some free standing grills by the picnic tables near the volleyball courts. Liquor is not allowed in the park unless you rent a pavilion and acquire an alcohol permit through the Livonia Police Department at least one week in advance. The permit itself is free though. Lots of people rent pavilions here for graduation parties. The largest pavilion even has a fire pit/fire place and you can rent pavilions until 9 pm. I wanted to plan a safe outdoor gathering with a few friends for my birthday so I had a picnic in the park. Our group was much smaller than 20 so it didn't make sense to rent a pavilion. Uncovered picnic tables throughout the park are free and first come first serve. Another group of ladies were also having a birthday party in the picnic tables in the shaded tree area. We brought fried chicken, subs, and pasta and potato salad and cupcakes, board and outdoor games, and bubble blowers and had a lot of fun! The park office is open and a staff member gave us a large garbage bag which was nice. The bathrooms are very clean and are cleaned daily and I actually saw them cleaning them when we were there. The parking lot is large and it's fairly easy to park. It's free to visit the park and there's no price for admission or parking.

The park is free, I saw a baseball diamond and a lay ground driving in. The park is free as well Trails were lots of fun! The trail seen maintained, dirt trails. Some would be ok to ride a bike on. You can see some streams as well. We didn't see trash around the trail. There is a map at the start of the trail. Our dog LOVED the trail!

Rotary Park has a lot to offer. The front of the park is home to a children's playground equipped with a jungle gym, swings, and merri-go-round. There is a paved walking path that circles around the front of the park. In the middle of the park there is a pavilion available for rent with a fireplace! There are about 5 or 6 charcoal grills scattered through out available to be used as well. Drinking fountains and bathrooms, too. THEN towards the back of the park there are 4 baseball diamonds. Finally, you get to the best part of the park! The wooded trails! Clearly marked trails with different routes for different mileages. You're sure to run into one of the members of the unofficial Rotary Park Dog club :) This park is the setting of so many fond childhood memories. My dad used to tell me that this was "The Hundred Acre Woods" and home of Winnie The Pooh :)

These plants look like tiny umbrellas. Too cute.

I walked the track today. Does anyone know how long it is? It's the one right in the front by the playground.

We didn't have a fenced in yard and my pup just needed somewhere to run. City requirements made me so much more comfortable with the other dogs in the park, knowing that they were also vaccinated and registered. The secured entry ensures that not just any dog off the street can wander in. The other dog owners are friendly and responsible. Everyone keeps a close eye on their pet to ensure that play doesn't get too rough and poo is picked up. If someone misses their dog pooing, other folks will either help find the 'land mine' or often pick it up for them. There are multiple water bowls and a faucet with fresh water to fill them up at (which owners take turns doing regularly). There are two separate play spaces, one that's ~four acres and another that's for small dogs under 22lbs. The facility contains several benches and waste receptacles with free dog waste bags. The many "regulars" at this park form an awesome community. Everyone chips in to keep the park in tip top shape, owners know almost all of the others dogs' names, watch out for each other's pets and share both funny stories and useful info that can only come from another dog lover. There's even a playground outside of the park for the kiddos - dog park outings are fun and active for our whole family!

Good size with two areas, one for small dogs and the other for all dogs. Bowls and water is available, even a port o john for people. Only wish there was more trees within the dog area because shade makes for happier dogs and humans. So far all dog people seem kind, professional and aware of surroundings. Great job FH, all cities should have dog parks!

Don't waste your time if you are new or just visiting The city. The majority of responsible dog owners who actively seek out dog parks to socialize their pooches are truly responsible dog owners, updating annual vaccines for their well behaved pups. Shame on the city of Novi for slighting visitors. Not a great impression of welcoming people to your community!

The city of Novi has some great features (authentic Japanese food, 12 Oaks Mall, top-notch schools,…read moreetc) and if you're a canine parent, then you'll be happy to know that you and your tail wagging' pal are covered! I couldn't be happier about a place where my dog can just be a dog and meet other dogs (dogs, dogs, dogs!!). The park is HUGE and split into two parts (small and timid dogs on one side and big dogs on the other). I like this feature because it can be intimidating for an owner to watch their small 5 Ibs chihuahua try to run and keep up with the bigger breeds. The park usually has bowls for water and a fresh water supply (but it is turned off in the winter months). The park provides plastic bags to pick up after your dog and deposit his/her business in the receptor. They also salt around the park (during the icy season) with paw-friendly salt so you don't have to worry about it hurting your pal. As a visitor of the park, you'll need to register your information with the city and get a key fob. Novi shares its dog park with the city of Northville so as members, you can take advantage of both locations. The park is a fantastic avenue for dogs to get out their energy and play with their own kind. My dog enjoys the park so much and I enjoy it too because he sleeps for hours on end after a visit :-)

I was a little hesitant to buy a membership but I thought it would be a good way to socialize my 10 month year old pup with other dogs since Covid canceled puppy obedience classes and trainings. I was worried about the other dogs being aggressive or possibly attacking my pup from all the horrific stories I heard. However, it's been such a great experience so far. All of the dog owners are responsible and all the dogs have been very friendly. I've felt very safe taking my dog here and she loves it! There is an fenced in area for small dogs and another one for large dogs. You can enter the park off from Livernois next to the nursing home or get there from the Troy Trail. Membership is $35 for residents or $45 for non residents. You get a key scan card and scan the card to unlock the gate to enter. There is a small pavilion with a few benches which is nice. My only complaint is that there needs to be more shade! A few big trees need to be planted because it's too hot in the summertime for the dogs. There is not even 1 tree! Tip: Bring your own water because the water fountains are still not running due to Covid.

Small parking lot that you can see once you crossover 696 on Farmington Rd. Before you get to the main trail you pass the restrooms which is not modern at all. Didn't know you could have something that is closer to the outhouses of my rural southern Ohio childhood than normal gas station ones you find up here. Trails are mostly dirt with some wood chips so think ahead before you try to hike after a night of heavy rain. A few other hikers learned the hard way that expensive tennis shoes wont be as nice if you go too far. I had my Keds on but not your grandmother's Keds but water proof ankle high boots Keds. Besides a few slides on a hill, worked wonderful walking thru wet parts. Enough benches and trail markers to let you rest and not get lost, it is a good way to spend an hour or two. I didn't get all the way back to the pond due to the heavy rain night before, I managed to spend an hour enjoying here and remembering the woods I played in as a child. If you have children, get them off their games and out into the sun. Take them to a place they can get dirty and see bugs and butterflies upclose and personal. Just don't let them wear their good shoes or jeans like the mother I saw coming back to the parking lot with muddy kids.
