It is open for "tours" - docents are available to point out features and answer questions (even when there are no current displays). And it is rentable for private events (suitable for a church setting). It is an absolutely beautiful setting for a wedding and can seat 150. Throughout the year there are art shows and monthly speakers - all free to attend. There is also a small "gift shop": the docents run a table with books, cards, and items baring San Ysidro and the scene of his miracle - an angel ploughing his farm land for him.

Now mind you, this is in the middle of August, which is Albuquerque's hottest month of the year. Just waiting in line to get into the venue, there were two people being attended to by the medics For what would appeared to be heat stroke or heat exhaustion. They are setting themselves up for liability with so limited resources or attendees being allowed to bring in at the very least water! Bottom line, this place makes you feel like you're getting raped because everything is a cash grab!

To make matters worse, the friend who made the reservation was never informed that brunch is held in the private club and not the e restaurant, which caused unnecessary confusion right from the start. Once a waiter finally found us, we were taken to the private club where we were told they only had three brunch menu items available that day. We ordered immediately, along with waters and mimosas. Keep in mind, there were only two tables total--our group of three and another group of seven--so it wasn't busy. Despite that, service was extremely slow. It took 20 minutes just to get our mimosas, and our waters were forgotten and didn't come out until another 10 minutes later. Our food took about 40 minutes, which felt excessive given how few people were there. Even more frustrating, my friends' meals came out about 10 minutes before mine. There's really no reason meals at the same table shouldn't be served together. The food itself was just okay. The only standout was the French toast, which was actually really good--and honestly the only reason this review isn't one star. I also ordered coffee and was told they don't carry creamer, which is surprising for a place offering brunch. Our waitress rarely checked on us throughout the meal, which added to the overall lack of service. Between the confusion, long wait times, and lack of attention, this experience didn't meet expectations. I won't be returning.

The lamb had just a teeny bit of muttony flavor and a perfect sear. we split the 2 lamb lolly pops. and spent plenty of time cleaning the rib. the glaze was fantastic! the potatoes and calibicitas were also super flavorful and delightful! Came with a side of butternut puree that was so smooth. and also perfectly spiced. My companion hates vinegary salad dressings, but the side salad that came with the Tamale, was lovely, just the right amount of oil and umami flavors, and only a hint of maybe lemon? for the acid. we both enjoyed it quite a lot which is saying something for a salad. The tamale. was cute in its pooked open wrapper. we left it inside and quite enjoyed picking out the delightful masa. my only complaint was i think we should have asked for spoons. as a fork is not the best way to pick a tamale out of the wrapper. (or we could have dumped it out. but once again it was cute as served. I would have preferred meat to the tamale. but really enjoyed it as it was too. Lastly on the way out we got a choke cherry tart, and a butterscotch bunt cake to go.. which we ate later.. both were great! We will need to return and try more dishes. and the desert Empanada, (they were sold out) and likely i will update to a 5 star. Fyi looks like they kinda run as two different kitchens, Snapdragon Tea, in the mornings, and Mila's Mesa at night. definitely going to have to go and try out one of the tea time reservations.

A couple of times I've been pleasantly surprised by the music performances Mila's Mesa offers in its simple and homey atmosphere. They are such gracious hosts. We felt so welcome and had such a great time that we'll have to go back in the near future. They have a lovely tasting room and seats outside make it very comfortable. This is as much a home-based business as one can have. As for the wines they have a huge selection, the wines are reasonably priced, and you can have tasting flights, wine by the glass, or even purchase bottles. This region in Corrales has the number of wineries and while I like them all I have found pasando tiempo to be above and beyond in its customer focus.
