The best breakfast burritos around and the price can't be beat! Chiles roasted right there.

Our drinks came out almost immediately. I ordered the Moscow Mule, which was perfectly refreshing, while my husband enjoyed a cold Coors Light. We started with the chips and guacamole, and it was the perfect appetizer. The guacamole tasted incredibly fresh--you could definitely tell they use quality ingredients. The chips were warm, crisp, and paired perfectly with it. For dinner, I had the green chile chicken enchiladas with potatoes. The enchiladas were delicious, but the potatoes really stole the show! They were seasoned so well that I couldn't stop eating them. My husband ordered the burger with fries, and it was cooked perfectly. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and the fries were hot and crispy. Between the excellent food, fast service, refreshing drinks, and welcoming atmosphere, Mulas made for a wonderful date night. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great meal in Corrales!

I went to brunch on Sunday with a couple friends. It was my first time there, but my friends go…read moresomewhat often and they told me that Mula's must have been having an off day because they always have a better experience than we did. We were seated outside directly in front of the live performer's soundbar. It was nearly impossible to hear each other. There was a large birthday party behind us which made it even harder to hear. We asked to sit inside but were told there weren't enough servers. We ordered mimosas and were told there was no Prosecco. The server didn't offer any other options or alternatives. She was gone for a long time before coming back to take our food order. Two of us ordered carne asada tacos and were told there was no carne asada. I opted for the shrimp tacos, but my friend wanted chicken tacos and asked if it was breast meat or meat off the bone. The server didn't know. She didn't offer to find out. After a few seconds of awkward silence I asked her if she could ask the kitchen about the meat. She said yes and then came back to tell us it was white meat. Perfect. After placing our order, it took a while for the food to come. The live music was nice, but it was a bit too loud and we loved when the artist took a break. When the food arrived, I was surprised by the small portion sizes. I asked for a side of limes and my friend asked for lemon for her water. We got a whole lime sliced, but no lemon. The server eventually brought the lemon and said she couldn't hear the request over the music. It took a long time to get the check. We weren't offered dessert menus which was disappointing, but by that time we were ready to get away from the party people who had sung happy birthday twice and the performer had also sung happy birthday a couple times. It was a lot. The food was good. The outdoor space was nice. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back though. They need to work on their pricing. $19 for three tacos with no sides is insane. I live in DC and unless you order tacos à la carte, the plates come with rice and beans. And even then, an à la carte taco is like $4-5. The shrimp tacos were good, but $15-16 would be a more reasonable price with no sides. I actually left hungry and ended up grabbing a bite to eat on my way home.

The tacos and overall atmosphere definitely deserve 5 stars. That said, I do miss the old salsa bar setup where you could enjoy as many salsas as you wanted for free. It's a little disappointing that the salsas are now an extra charge, especially since prices overall have gone up. Even with that change, the quality of the food and the experience keep me coming back.

The property just looks very culturally historic. Reminded me of my time in Mexico. As you walk in , there is a counter on the left to order your food. They offer fountain drinks as well as cold bottled beers. There is a salsa bar with maybe 10 salsas to try. I asked for recommendations, and was advised to try the taco 4 pack 2 pairs of meats of my choice. I got the carnitas and the barbacoa, with a side of rice and beans and chips , plus a fountain drink. The carnitas were absolutely fantastic. Tender, crispy and seasoned well. The barbacoa was juicy and tender as well. The chips were crispy but maybe not home made? Didn't matter, as the tacos were clearly the star. The beans were cheesy and the rice had carrots and peas and onions, and maybe corn. You get free refills on the fountain drinks. Mexican music played over the speakers and it was nice with it on or off. I feel like I found a gem. I didn't check the prices because it wouldn't have changed my mind. I later learned it was $31 for 4 street tacos, beans, rice, chips, and a fountain drink. Will I pay it again ? Gladly.
