Scam, insurance fraud! Our car was damaged during a storm and needed a paint job. We chose this place because it is local and we wanted to support what we thought was an honest business. We did not do our proper research and paid severely for it. They quoted our insurance company 22k in damages. When we said we wanted to take the car for a second opinion the owner, Steve, threw an absolute fit while Cussing me out. We told him we just wanted to take the car. After more belittlement (being told we don't know anything) he told us we could take the car back for 3,000 CASH! Besides the fact that they were trying to rob us of 3k for doing NO work to the car, they refused to take credit card! Do not take your car here, do not make the same mistake we did in thinking this is an honest local business... UPDATE : the purpose of this post is to warn other consumers, not to go back and forth with the place of business. PLEASE do your research before taking your car to Hereford collision center. Look them up on better business bureau- there is a reason why they have an F... read ALL the reviews online. Read their responses to the negative reviews... We just had our car repaired ($26k in damages). We are very happy with the end result. I was nervous taking it there because of other bad reviews. They took our car in right away (picked it up the next day since it wasn't drivable) and had it finished in 4 weeks. All other shops in the area couldn't get us an initial appointment for at least 30-40 days. I will 100% use them again. read more

Due to an accident with a deer, we needed a lot of work done to our car. The staff at Hereford Collision was very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. When issues arose with our insurance company Hereford Collision was right on top of it.... we ended up having a problem come up, and again the Staff (specifically Steve) was right there, and handled the issue quickly, completely, and professionally. While I initially had concerns about the amount of time this was taking, my concerns were addressed with knowledgeable information and with complete empathy. Don't even know where to start. Worse than my first divorce with the added element of an insane custody battle only with a car. 6 months to get it back, and now I have to take it elsewhere for further repairs to fix a window that isn't working right. Owner blames customer and insurance for everything, and equates frustration and a quest for answers with argumentative behavior, even though we never even cussed at him after we were hung up on multiple times. Never once were we ever given an estimate of completion. We were told items were on back order, but we were able to go online and find 5 or more of those items, ready to ship, same day. Insurance received 5 supplements, and we still ended up paying over $1100 out of pocket. We were told it would be free towing when we first called, only to have a $500 + tow bill attached to the insurance estimate. Further research on their website shows that free towing is only offered in a specific area and this was not disclosed to us over the phone when we first called, or we would have used our insurance to tow it. Only reason I went with them was because they said they pay the deductible and at the time, I didn't have the money to pay the deductible. Hindsight is 20/20 because that $750 deductible looks mighty nice compared to $1100 out of pocket expenses and lawyers fees. Owner will come on after me and say something to the tune of we interrogated staff, were arguing, or just weren't patient or a good fit. He does it with all of his detractors. Do your research. Don't make my mistake. Before going here or any other place for work on your car, research reviews and the better business bureau. Ask around to find out who other people use and don't use. Read the fine print, and if they say they will pay the deductible, know that they WILL get that money one way or another...either out of you or the insurance company which eventually will either total your car or say enough is enough we are not paying for all these charges. Know your rights as a consumer. If a company doesn't communicate in the beginning, it will get even worse as time goes on. This company has left me with trust issues, anxiety, and quite an empty wallet. read more

When I dented my 2011 VW CC I was devastated and knew I had to get it fixed and get it fixed correctly. I am one of those types of people that if I know something isn't perfect my eye will be drawn to it and that's all I will see. Needless to say I was nervous when it came to picking a place to fix my car and I've never had a need in all my years of driving to need to have a dent fixed. So the first thing I did was a Google search and that's how I found Hereford Collision and I read all the reviews I could find. I've been in customer service for many years and understand what reviews can do for a business and I also understand that you can't 100% believe everything you read. I called Hereford Collision and asked to meet with someone to get a quote. When I came I was honestly nervous because I didn't know what to expect, I just knew I wanted my car fixed by someone I could trust. I met with Steve and I can honestly say he was great. He was very informative and dealt with my questions with the highest level of professionalism. He walked me through the process of what would need to take place to fix my car and I was honest and said "now when I get my car back I'm not going to be able to tell that I dented both doors where they come together and I just had it fixed am I?" And honestly you can't tell at all. It looks beautiful! I couldn't be happier. I'm glad I trusted my gut and had them fix my car. I called numerous times and spoke to the different office staff and they were amazing. They answered all my questions and trust me I had several because I've never turned anything into my insurance before for a claim so I was clueless and nervous about the entire process. i brought in my honda s2000 for some minor paint work that involved repairing some small scratches. a few of the scratches did involve putting down new paint. the work that was done though was not at all what i asked for. some of the areas i asked to be repaired were not worked on at all while a huge amount of undesired work was done. they put down a lot of new paint on the front of the car only which was not what i asked for. but the worst part is that the paint they applied was not even close to a color match of my original paint and the quality of the paint job was that of an unskilled painter, it has alot of bumps and inconsistensies and its clear that not enough prep work was done beforehand. the car also took alot longer then they originally said it would. they even put one of my badges back on backwards which was an extremeley obvious mistake the employees were friendly but the whole place seemed unprofessional read more
