Two weeks prior, I had asked a BMW dealership to do the same for me, but when they quoted $1080, I said "forget it." Tim's van is like a library of key parts, a computer controlled key cutter and loads of techie devices and software. In just a short while, Tim had re-birthed a brand new BMW key fob that was perfectly programmed for keyless entry and ignition start. He also cut a new (metal) key that was a part of the BMW electronic fob (years ago) that opens the driver's door lock.
