First off, I really hate to leave a bad review and I've been going back and forth to even leave…read morethis review but my nails are still super messed up from getting a gel manicure almost 2 months ago here. I used to frequent this place a couple years ago and then I found another nail place in the area that I love. But I decided to come back and give this spot another chance and unfortunately I had a bad experience. Instead of soaking off my previous gel manicure, the technician used the machine to scrap it off. My nails underneath burned as she did this and now that all the gel is off, I can see that a layer of my nail was removed in the process. Because of this, my nails are really messed up. They are brittle, breaking, and hurting. I usually get gel done every 3 weeks and I haven't been in a long time to get another manicure because my nails are so brittle and keep breaking from the manicure I got at this salon. I also went with my sister and she is having the same experience after we went here. It is unfortunate because the salon is lovely inside but I won't be back again.

My pedicure was baseline at best, definitely not the in depth Russian pedi I requested and paid for, and I really stressed how badly my feet needed to be scrubbed and callous removed. I was even warned on the website to make sure I had an hour and 45 minutes allotted for this specific type of pedicure and I was fully out of the salon in under an hour for both service services. EDIT 12 HOURS LATER: two of my hard gel manicure nails completely popped off. I was more forgiving with my review because I thought the services were not as advertised but still good, I am now learning they also were not up to par!

Very disappointed in this place. I booked a nail…read moreappointment online with the price listed. My service was supposed to be around $150. I show up to my appointment, get my nails and toes done. Hygiene of the process was questionable to me. Technician double dipped into scrubs and other products after touching my feet. After my service was done, they up charged me by $100. When I asked why, I was told my nails are medium length, therefore they charge $10 per finger. No one told me this during my service. I got plain nails done (booking was for hard gel), no design or anything extra, didn't even ask for a Russian manicure. Overall, this experience was not worth $250 before tip. The idea of a business performing services on you KNOWING they will charge higher than listed on their own booking system does not sit right with me. Word of advice to the owner: this place is so convenient yo my work, id have been my new regular spot. You just lost years worth of business over $100. To respond to the owners response: my booking was $150 for mani and pedi both. There was no discussion about any other services in person. I picked the color from the options I was presented and that's that. If your staff added services, those were not discussed with me. The lady that checked me out at the register even explained to me that the services were $100 more due to the "medium length" of my nails. Again, none of this was disclosed during the service. If that's the up charge your salon aims for, that's completely fine. But maybe disclose it to the customer and be open and honest. I felt robbed after checking out.

The ladies were wonderful and took my appointment later and last minute in the evening for a natural and basic mani/pedi. Appreciate the timing of it all! The atmosphere, manicurists and chairs were super comfy. Not to mention I really enjoy when the mani/pedi is knocked out by two employees at once. It's much more time efficient and relaxing this way. The ladies weren't aggressive with my nail beds either which was pleasant. Thanks Tracy! Will be back again, bc shoot schedules are always short notice mainly. And no lady wants to show up with crusty nail beds. My nails were perfect, natural, and well cared for. They even taught me a handful of Vietnamese words. Fun!

I was very disappointed with my experience at Nail Affair Salon…read more The first thing I noticed was that the salon itself felt untidy and not particularly clean, which isn't what you want to see in a nail salon. I booked a gel manicure, but the quality of the work was poor. The manicure looked rushed, the application wasn't well done, and the overall result fell well below what I would expect from a professional salon. I also paid for the Hydration Boost service. Unfortunately, they didn't perform the full treatment--they skipped the paraffin portion entirely--but still charged me full price. If a service isn't fully provided, customers shouldn't be charged as though it was. Between the lack of cleanliness, the poor-quality manicure, and being charged for a service that wasn't completely performed, I left feeling like I didn't receive what I paid for. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend Nail Affair Salon based on my experience.

I was searching on yelp for a place open on Sunday's and offered late hours and stumbled upon X nails. I called them for an appt at 330 on a Sunday as they close at 5pm. (During the week and Saturday I believe it's 7pm). The lady who answered was so sweet, welcoming and calm. Immediately felt good about this. She offered a 4pm and it was the best decision! When I walked in, I was welcomed with smiles and asked to check in at the iPad. The salon is beautiful inside, aesthetically pleasing. Gary did my nails & he was everything I want in a nail tech. I'm pretty picky about my nails, their shape, the application, but I had no complaints. For being the last appointment of the day, I was not rushed and I felt he took his time making sure everything was right about my nails. This also was the first time in a while getting gel X that my nails didn't burn when drying the adhesive and they're not tender when I'm using my hands/pressing against them. Pricing to me is beyond fair especially for the quality. It's been a week since my first appointment and they still look great, no polish chipping (and I do a lot with my hands), and shape is still the same and hasn't dulled. Looking forward to my next appointment and trying a pedicure. But so far, this is my new Nail Salon!
