Obsessed with my experience at Hera The Salon. The talent in that salon is next level--every single person who walked out looked like a million dollars, no exceptions. You can just feel the standard is high there. And I have to give love to the owner's mother--MAY--she is an absolute angel. So kind, so welcoming, and truly made my day. If you want luxury vibes and flawless results, this is the spot. Period. read more

Kassandra has been my stylist for almost 6 years now and truly, time flies! An old colleague had recommended her to me in 2020 because I was looking for a stylist in San Diego since I had just moved back. She's taken my hair from magenta pink to brown balayage to red balayage and now blue black! It's been awesome seeing her grow in her craft and open up her own business The salon itself is very spacious and clean with a lot of natural lighting and parking. I absolutely trust her with my hair and us woman know that's super important! I always appreciate her time and attention, so thank you Kass read more

If you're looking to get your hair re-vamped, look no further!! These ladies at Hera know exactly what they are doing! I live in Chicago, but originally from SoCal & I travel to Hera's to get my hair done by Kass. I am a flight attendant so I make sure to have a layover in San Diego and I get my hair done. Kass has the magic touch and I'm soo glad I found her! I always get scared when trying a new salon because not everyone can lighten a brunette without damaging their hair. My spouse is military so we move often & I have had some horrible detrimental experiences with my hair literally being damaged from trying new salons. I will continue to travel to San Diego to get my hair done by Kass, she is the bayalage master!!!! read more

From the moment you walk into this salon, you feel welcomed. The staff are all so sweet and greet you with a big smile. You can tell everyone truly enjoys working here. The salon itself also has a really cute vibe! I was looking for a curly hair stylist (which is honestly quite the struggle) but I was lucky enough to have found my hairstylist Lola (her IG @thelolaheffect). She is AMAZING!!! Aside from being one of the sweetest humans I've ever met, she listens to exactly what you want, and definitely delivers. She is so talented at what she does! I was able to get an appt w my son's stylist Lola very quickly! I hadn't had my hair cut professionally in a VERY long time (years!) so Lola had some work to do:). I bring my son to Lola bc she does a wonderful job w his long curly hair. I started to get curly hair (Praise God) recently and Lola helped me SO much! She knew how to cut and style my hair so that my curls could FINALLY be unleashed! I am ecstatic with the results! I knew Lola had been doing an excellent job with my son so I fully relinquished control to her and let her do her thing! My hair looks fuller and curlier! I highly recommend giving Lola a try for your curly hair! read more

Hera The Salon - My recent color that I love by Julia :) - Hair Salons Near Me - La Mesa, California

I have been going with Sierra for 6 years and I will not change my hairstylist even if you paid me. She completely transformed my hair and taught me how to properly take care of my hair so I can 1: have beautiful shiny hair, 2: for my color to last longer and 3: for it to grow healthy and to not have as many split ends as I used to have before. I always tell people that it doesn't matter how much money you pay for your hair, if you don't keep up with it at your own, it will not look good and your color will not last. She is so knowledgeable of what she does and she gladly always answers any questions or concerns. I like to ask questions and she is always so helpful. I have learned so much from her and there is no way she is getting rid of me now. 100% recommended plus she is such a sweet person. Love her! read more

I found Sierra on Instagram (@bayalagegod) back in early 2020 and have followed her everywhere since. In the past 4 years, she's brought me from blonde to red, back to blonde, and then again red. What's more, the way she layers the dye has had people even asking if I've gotten my hair touched up during the grow-out process. The salon itself is beautiful! Decor and ambiance are up to date. My girl Sierra: Sierra is my one and only for my hair! She does absolutely amazing every time I visit the salon. I've been with her for over 6 years now. The quality of her work goes above and beyond EVERY time. Her work is so fairly priced for the quality she provides. I've been traveling for work for two years and only get my hair done when I'm in town. Still my hair manages to look incredible 5-8 months after getting it done by Sierra! Quality is unmatched! Sierra herself makes every experience in the salon fun and easy. She's easy to talk to, friendly, and makes the entire experience a good one! This salon is not only aesthetically pleasing, but the vibe is positive and uplifting. I have been seeing Sierra (Miss @balayagegod on Instagram) since 2019 and she is the G.O.A.T. From extensions to hair cuts she always amazes me. My hair has never been healthier and longer. I enjoy Sierra because she continues to learn and grow her techniques. Very poor experience at this salon. "Cass" spent almost no time on my cut. She dry cut it exhibiting very little technique or care. My layers are uneven and poorly blended. She spent about two minutes dry cutting it and gave me the worst color consultation I've ever had. She was very standoffish and passed me off to her assistant as quickly as she could. Based on the reviews, I had high hopes for this salon. Perhaps there are better stylists, but my personal experience leaves me no interest in returning. read more

This is my 2nd time going to Sierra (@balayagegod on IG), and let me tell you... she is AMAZING! It has been a while since I got my hair done before my 1st session with her. I was so nervous but sooo ready for a change! She has delivered way above my expectations both times! I am a very low maintenance girly when it comes to hair and she specializes in lived-in balayage. Even after 6 months after getting my hair done, it still looks good and fresh because it blends so naturally with my natural hair. She's so fun to be around and I always look forward to getting my hair done by her! Her prices are also good compared to other stylists I have been to before (other salons). 10/10 EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO TO HER!!! I always recommend her to all my friends read more
