She did not only get my hair down to the lightest color possible, but gave me advice and made a plan with me how to keep my hair healthy and get to the color I want. But I'm supposed to go to a concert tomorrow night, and I really didn't want to show up feeling like a complete geriatrics patient! So today, I literally just "walked in" to this incredible salon, The Hot Seat, without an appointment--and I'm SO glad I did! I was greeted by a very nice lady who, at 5pm, assured me that there was enough room for me. I was then taken care of by two beautiful women, Mariam and Tiffany, and not just one but BOTH of them went to work on my hair. I walked in basically asking for a "Farrah Fawcett," and they absolutely delivered, only better! I've had plenty of haircuts over the years, and while a fresh haircut always feels good, my hair has never felt this good when I've walked out of a salon. It feels bouncy, balanced, light, and somehow just...RIGHT! When I caught my reflection in my car window, I literally thought, "OMG! No way!" I have never been this delighted with a haircut before in my life! When I got home, my family was happily impressed, and my husband not only noticed but was pleasantly surprised-which actually says a lot! And the best part? I was a walk-in! They took me right in, washed my hair with a shampoo made for the Gods, then cut and dried it, and all for an extremely competitive price. They totally made me feel like a rock star! Maybe I will actually get dressed up for the concert after all. Thank you so much, ladies! Mariam and Tiffany, you made my day--and gave me a haircut I absolutely LOVE!

I made the mistake of going here and ended up paying three times the amount of money to have my hair color corrected after Sam turned it a red orange color when I told him beforehand that my only fear was ending up with red/orange hair. He assured me it would not. Not only that but the haircut was totally uneven and way shorter than I wanted. It had to be recut to even it all out. This can be devastating for a haircut that is already extremely short. Now I have to wear a scarf or a hat until my hair gets longer. Probably around six months. The worst experience of my life. I thought because he had great reviews he must be pretty good but after my hair was ruined I looked further for more reviews. If you look hard enough and deep enough you will find all of the terrible reviews. For some reason people are able to hide these which is a bad thing for people like myself that look for reviews before going to a new salon. I dont understand how he could have so many 5 stars reviews after what he did to my hair. Are they really all real reviews? Seriously, this is so deceiving and it's unfair to people that rely on honest reviews to decide where to go for hair needs. Sam is a very nice man until it comes time to take responsibility for ruining your hair. Then he's not so nice.

My hair had become brassy and I just wanted to add low lights and some dimension. I showed many, many photos to make it clear what I wanted. Unfortunately, the final result was drastically different from what I requested. Much of the interior and underside of my hair was colored a very dark brunette tone, creating a flat, heavy appearance rather than the dimensional look shown in the photos we reviewed. The ends of my hair look completely black, nothing like the photos I showed. The issue wasn't that my hair became darker overall. I expected more depth and lowlights. The issue was that much of the brightness and dimension was lost, particularly underneath, leaving large sections of the hair looking like one solid dark color. To Cynthia's credit, she did offer to adjust the color by adding highlights and ultimately provided a full refund when I explained that I was no longer comfortable proceeding with additional processing since my first request was so misunderstood and poorly executed. While I appreciate her efforts to make things right afterward, the final result did not reflect the look we spent significant time discussing beforehand. I'm honestly still devastated.

I moved to San Diego about 6 months ago and have been wanting to do something different with my hair for a while but I didn't have anyone here that I trusted (I've had bad hair experiences in the past). I already have blonde highlights but have thought about getting pink undertones. I met Angela and she immediately had a vision like an artist. She detailed exactly what she would do, the colors she would use, the technique and was also very honest about how the color would fade, which I have found to be rare. I decided to take the leap with her and I am so happy that I did. She made sure to block off her entire afternoon to give my hair the time it deserved and she did not stop until it was perfect. She was talking me through the entire process, which I loved! Usually hair stylists just do whatever without telling you what they are actually doing! Angela's assistant was also lovely and helped her throughout the whole process. I know previous comments mention Angela bossing her assistant around, but I didn't see that at all. They were working as a team, bouncing ideas off each other. I'd rather have two sets of eyes and hands on my hair than one! I didn't have a head full of bright pink hair. My hair was still blonde with beautifully classy pink undertones. This is not something just any colorist can accomplish. She is so talented and that is my number 1 priority. Not to mention it was really nice to not be in a loud crowded salon. Angela wanted to make sure that I knew how to take care of my color and told me to call her anytime I have a question about products, washing my hair, etc. Finding someone I trust with my hair is worth every dollar in my book. Angela will be continuing to help me keep up my pink. read more
