I had my hair done Saturday, with Krys. I made an appointment for balayage and Brazilian Blowout. We talked about what I wanted and she suggested we go a different route, not go as dark. I gave her an idea of the colors I wanted. I loved the way my hair looked in the mirror. Later she mentioned she added metallic purple and other colors which is not what we discussed but was clearly visible in the pictures she took of my hair. I figured it would wash out but still, not ok to add metallic colors when it was not discussed. On to the Brazilian Blowout. I have had this process done years ago so I am not new to it. Brazilian Blowout is typically applied to hair, blow-dried, flat ironed, product washed out, bonding spray applied to hair, blow-dried again, and finally flat ironed again. That is not what was done to my hair. Product was applied, flat ironed, and I was told to apply a mask she gave me a sample of (not BB brand), a couple days later. I figured it was a new process. After I washed my hair a day later, it was frizzy and not straight. I also noticed some gray hair was still gray, not covered during the process. Contacted Krys who offered to fix the gray so I went in. She covered the gray in a light color which is still lighter and not fully covered. She reapplied the straightening solution on the frizzy parts again, flat ironed it, and sent me on my way. I was to wash hair a few days later. I called Brazilian Blowout company to find out if the process has changed and they said it has not, and that my blowout will most likely not last because it was not done correctly. They said I should have never walked out with product on my hair and that it was not even sealed correctly and non BB brand mask should not have been used. The whole process should have been done at the salon. They even sent me an email with the step by step process. I reached out to Krys and she offered to do the process again the "new" way (which according to BB company has not changed) but I already made an appointment to get it done elsewhere. I am incredibly sad I have wasted my money. Update: I have now washed product out of my hair 3 days free she redid the blowout in frizzy areas and here are pictures. This is my second time coming here, and once again I am very pleased& impressed with the level of skill and attention to detail. I got my hair done here by krys, and honestly she did an amazing job!! I have thick, frizzy hair that is hard to manage and she was able to give me such good advice on washing techniques, shampoo and what I should be doing versus what I am doing. Typically, I get my hair cut in a straight line. However this time I got layers and a deep conditioning, because treat yo self. And I love it! My hair feels so light, and best of all it feels so clean and soft. I am very pleased with my results, in fact so pleased I scheduled an appointment for August already. I highly recommend. read more

I love this salon! First of all, I am very cautious about who I get my hair done with so I've been going to salons more on the expensive side. However, my cousin recommended me this place and after seeing how gorgeous my cousin's hair is, I decided to try it out. The location is kind of hidden but has plenty of parking as there is a parking lot and street parking as well. The salon is so cute! I love the decor and the vibe. There isn't a front desk but I was greeted instantly by a worker and was seen within the next five minutes. Michelle was awesome! She did such a great job with my hair I was so happy with the result. I wanted to go lighter and shorter. Great price as well! This place is definitely my new go-to hair salon Also, after you get your hair done walk over to Swami's Cafe down the street to grab a bite! I'm only giving it one star, because Genna has a pleasant personality, and offered to try and repair some of the damage, other than that, deserves NO star I went in because I purchased a groupon for BRAZILIAN Blowout, as I have done in the past for other salons through groupon. I came in, and was given a completely different "treatment" than I purchased. She did warn me about the smell, yet she said nobody would notice other than myself and my spouse, WRONG! My hair was my pride, shiny and manageable, I was only looking to eliminate frizz. Now, my hair is DRY, UNRULY, STINKS, and has a nasty waxy feel that I can't seem to get rid of! After calling Genna, she offered a deep conditioning to help repair the damage. I agreed, however, didn't appreciate the fact that she tried to put blame on my highlights. (Mind you, this would have been the 4th time I got a Brazilian Blowout, and always on my highlighted hair and NEVER with ANY complaints) nor was it brought up during consultation. At this point, I don't know if the negative review should be for A) Prevana (name of treatment applied) B) Groupon (sold as Brazilian) C) Salon Forget the $100 I spent, I just want my healthy hair back!!!! read more

I got my hair done by ALEXIS and she was so friendly and adorable. The salon itself was very cute and I really liked the vibe the salon had. Alexis was an amazing stylist. She was easy to talk to and very sweet. She is a very talented stylist. My hair looks the best it's looked in a long time. The cut itself exceeded my expectations. On top of that the way she styled it was the cutest any stylist has ever styled my hair after my hair cut. Typically I don't like how my hair is styled after the hair cut and I usually end up going home and restyle it myself. Most people like their hair cut when they are leaving the salon BUT I love my hair and it's been a week! It is literally perfect I wouldn't have changed anything. I've been going to the same gal for 3 years + .. something inside of me told me to venture out - ended up falling in love with a new salon and hair stylist! After doing my research, I decided to make an appointment with Michelle. She originally had offered 1pm and I said perfect, just in time to get to work by 330. She made adjustments and told me to come in at 1130 since 2hrs is not enough. The salon itself is cute and tiny. Not very noisy and not too busy compared to what I've been accustomed to. Michelle was very informative through out my appointment, she kept me in the loop with what she will be doing with my hair next. She was quiet majority of the time and very focused on what she was doing. She didn't try to get nosy about my life like most stylist would - which I honestly appreciated!
