There are not enough words to explain the value Toni puts into her brand. Her hair studio is not that average and you can tell when you first pull up to her shop. Once you walk in, you know you're in a salon that is clean, well valued, and have a sense of serenity! The decor is also on point and there has never been a time that I've gone that the shop has been in a disarray. What shop have you ever been to that's always spotless and smell good at all times no matter how busy it is. Toni makes sure she takes pride in her brand and is a perfect example of her work! She is always put together and never makes excuses as to why her hair or appearance is a mess and she is always professional. This is why I was shocked to see the 1 star review that was left! I'm not a hairstylist, but I do have curly hair and know that my curly hair will never be bone straight with a relaxer. A relaxer is made to straighten your hair, but a good stylist is able to keep your hair healthy by keeping the integrity of your texture, especially when you want to add color. That is one thing Toni and I have discussed when she has colored my hair in the past. Her motto is healthy hair first! She is not one of those stylist that will put chemicals in your hair without you understanding what comes with the process. I love how she has taken care of my scalp; which has allowed my hair to grow and it's the healthiest it has ever been. No more shedding! No more flakes! No more dead hair! I had Toni service my curly hair I spent over two months growing out. The only way I knew how to make it bone straight was to relax it and I also wanted it platinum blonde. Toni agreed to do both within three weeks of each other. I asked her more than once if the relaxer would make it bone straight and she replied yes each time. A week after the relaxer I washed it and it wasn't bone straight like she said it'd be. It had an unexpected curl to it. I respectfully brought this concern and question to her via email honestly thinking I would come to a better understanding and resolution to my hair goals. She replied back explaining things to me regarding the relaxer service & process of going blonde that she failed to tell me during my initial consultation. Had she done so I would've obviously understood why my hair still had a curl to it and not questioned her about it. During our consultation session she brought to the table everything she could do for my hair and what can I expect from her as my stylist. She answered all my questions and my main question was about time management, because my last stylist always had me in the shop all day and don't nobody have time for that. So I've been going to Toni for over a year now.... I always get a sew in weave with a little leave out. First few times were great she would get me in right away. She would always compliment how she loved doing my hair because it was easy and quick to do my hair and that I wasn't high maintenance. She would do my weave within 1.5 hours, sometimes 2 because she had other clients. I even referred my coworker there.... So the last time I went to her she didn't really greet me, I was 6 months pregnant at the time and she had me waiting for 2 hours!!!! She never really said anything, didn't say sorry she could have even called me to tell me she was running behind and I could have come in later. I'm sorry but that's not respecting my time. Then she tries to rush me out of the chair to make a work out class, after I had to cancel a business appointment because she made me wait forever. So I made my appointment that day so I could leave for a vacation the next day, the next day after my hair was done, a track came loose and it was hanging. I text her and just wanted her to fix it, it's a quick fix and she wasn't sorry, was rude and was not willing to work around the time I could make it. It literally takes 5 minutes to fix. It's ok the track came loose mistakes happen but it was like pulling teeth for her to be able to fix it. I like how she does my hair like I said it's quick and she knows what to do.... so I made an appointment again and I had it scheduled for the perfect time because I had a maternity shoot. She was going on vacation and sent out an email to all of her clients. So I scheduled my appointment before she left for vacation. The website said for a sew in weave with minimal leave out $150, which I always paid. I called her the day before the appointment to confirm, she's going to tell me I've been meaning to call you but I'm going to have to start charging you $275!!!! That's a $125 increase.... ok your prices went up a lot, but you couldn't have been professional enough to call or send a text that the prices went up even though your website says $150. It's clear for some reason she didn't want me as a client anymore which I don't understand but don't play with someone's time and emotions. I have no clue why her attitude flipped towards me, but how can you treat someone like that? A paying customer, I am so offended and I had a maternity shoot. She knew what she was doing she didn't respect me as a client and I highly doubt her prices went up that high.
