I had been wanting to go platinum for some years now and my last hairstylist would always give me blonde or orange blonde which I disliked. I messaged various people and Maysaa was not only fast to respond, but inviting. Her kind and fast response are what made me make the appointment with her. She did not only get my hair down to the lightest color possible, but gave me advice and made a plan with me how to keep my hair healthy and get to the color I want. So today, I literally just "walked in" to this incredible salon, The Hot Seat, without an appointment--and I'm SO glad I did! I was greeted by a very nice lady who, at 5pm, assured me that there was enough room for me. I was then taken care of by two beautiful women, Mariam and Tiffany, and not just one but BOTH of them went to work on my hair. I walked in basically asking for a "Farrah Fawcett," and they absolutely delivered, only better! I've had plenty of haircuts over the years, and while a fresh haircut always feels good, my hair has never felt this good when I've walked out of a salon. It feels bouncy, balanced, light, and somehow just...RIGHT! When I caught my reflection in my car window, I literally thought, "OMG! No way!" I have never been this delighted with a haircut before in my life! When I got home, my family was happily impressed, and my husband not only noticed but was pleasantly surprised-which actually says a lot! And the best part? I was a walk-in! They took me right in, washed my hair with a shampoo made for the Gods, then cut and dried it, and all for an extremely competitive price. They totally made me feel like a rock star! These professionals may be great, but having an easy way to book will get more clients. In this day and age, the instantaneous booking is the bar and this place doesn't meet it. It is a hurdle/challenge to just get an appointment. I am sure these people are nice and are probably good at what they do.

She told me to pick another hairstyle that "would take less time." So in the end, I had to change my hairstyle, she put TWO pieces of extensions in, and my hair fell out in maybe an hour. When I asked around about her a few days later, I found out a bunch of other girls had a similar experience, specifically with her rude service. Definitely never coming here again, or reccomending her to anyone.

I had such a great experience getting hair extensions with Mariam! Since it was my first time, she made me feel completely comfortable and explained everything clearly. She really listened to what I wanted, and the results came out amazing--my hair looks so natural, full, and beautifully blended. I have had my hair extensions in for 5 days now and I've already gotten so many compliments :) :) What I appreciated most was how she walked me through the aftercare, which made it so easy to maintain at home. AMAZING!! The very best experience, twice! My teenage daughter wanted a hair trim and we cold called, was able to get an appointment within the hour, and she loves her hair! Today, I decided I too would get my hair trimmed. Something I have not done for myself in a long time. Miriam again was able to see me same day. When I later went to another salon to have the extensions removed, they found that they had been glued into my natural hair. Removal took three separate sessions. The salon tried different oils and methods to loosen the glue and remove the extensions as carefully as possible, but my natural hair still experienced significant breakage and damage during the process.I have photos of the condition of my hair as well as a recording from the salon during the removal process. I am including photos with this review so others can see my experience.I'm extremely disappointed because the stylist was aware from the beginning that my hair was already very thin. I trusted that the installation method being used would be appropriate for my hair. Unfortunately, I am now dealing with damage to hair that was already very fragile. I would not want someone else with thin or fragile hair to go through the same experience.

Everything was confirmed. Two days before the appointment, I received a text asking if I could come Friday, Sunday, or Saturday at 6:30 p.m. instead. I couldn't accommodate any of those times because I had already planned my schedule around the confirmed appointment. When I politely explained that I couldn't change my appointment and asked that they either honor the original time or refund my deposit, their response was simply, "Just cancel it." No apology, no offer to honor my appointment, no mention of refunding my deposit, and no explanation of when I would receive my refund. I had to ask about that myself. I understand that scheduling conflicts happen. What disappointed me was how they handled it. As a first-time customer, I expected better communication and a greater effort to make things right. Especially for a salon that charges upfront fees to deter late cancelations and rescheduling, when they do it. Based on this experience, I won't be booking again.

Not only is she talented, but she is also consistent, and just a genuinely wonderful person to spend a couple of hours with. I always leave feeling confident and taken care of. I have been to SOLA studios in other locations, this one was a little complicated finding for the first time but now I know where to go!
