Overall review: I wanted to cry once I looked in the mirror after getting a closure sew in. 1. I made an appointment a month in advance and tried calling a day prior to confirm my appointment but no one answered. I get to the salon, and they don't have my appointment saved. Their excuse was that the stylist I booked with quit... 2. I purchased the hair in the store while a promotion was going on, but the employee did not even know what the sale was and tried to charge me full price like I wouldn't notice. 3. I had an 11:30 am appointment, but the salon only had 1 stylist working that day. He had an 11am, so I had to wait. Little did I know that the wait would be 6 hours... 4. I finally get seated around 5:30 pm and the stylist starts braiding but I knew something was wrong when he did a beehive pattern for a sew in (this was my first weave so I trusted who I thought was an expert to continue). The finished product was atrocious! I looked like I was wearing a hat and he glued the closure halfway down my forehead. I just felt ugly and couldn't even go in public. I cancelled my plans for the night. 5. I spent 4 hours in the chair so I got home around 11:30 pm and had my friend take the sew in out. I then made an appointment for a different stylist at a better salon to redo it. 6. Lastly, I called the shop and expressed my concern, but they didn't want to do anything. I paid $200 just for the service plus an additional $220 for the next salon to redo it properly. 7. The actual hair is garbage. 4 days after the install, the hair lost its volume and got matted. Overall I spent almost $1,000 and I can't wait to take this awful hair out my head. read more

Stay away from Herimports. I "was" a customer since my first order back in 2013/2014. The distributor must have changed overtime because in 2021 I ordered a closure which fell apart within 1 week of install. I sent photos and asked for even a partial refund as this has NEVER happened with any closure I purchased before but their (Chantal and Her Imports USA Customer Care team) response was it was my stylist fault alone who is booked out for 3 months. The stylist told me it was definitely the quality of the closure and even pointed it out before treating and installation. Ladies, come get this hair! Firstly, Ronnie you are a gem. Let me run down my experience. I ruined my *other* hair by attempting to dye it blonde in one sitting ( I know... I know), and I was flying out to ATL the next day. I was freaking out, and considering cancelling my flight. I got to Her Imports in hopes of finding a wig (no time to install a full sew in). I got the Spring Curl in 22 inch (the only length they had in store, I ended up cutting it to about 16) and it's stunning. I get stopped EVERY day about this hair - it legit looks like its coming from my scalp. This is also my first wig, and I was VERY hesitant of how real it would look - looks even more realistic than my more expensive bundles. So real, in fact, that my mom and room mate want one too. The curl is perfect, it took color marvelously and it doesn't tangle at all. But the true hero is Ronnie - she calmed me down; and proceeded to spend over an HOUR with me calling different stylists to color and cut it in a style. Ronnie called her friends, manager, stylists from IG and wouldn't sell the wig until I was satisfied with someone to help me style it. I give it three starts for a few reasons Initially I really was excited to purchase from this company due to the good reviews & stuff & they had a sale 3 bundles for 250$ so I was like hey I was gonna pay the same for her hair company but I jus didn't have the time to order online so I went to the store . The hair is multiple colors. They don't have 1b but they try to give you the darkest bundles they have so you will most likely have 3 different color bundles. The studio bundles felt just as nice as the premium. The bundles were not true to length. The sales person was very nice and understanding. If I could give this company a zero star I would. I've worn the Brazilian hair extensions from Her Imports for two months and it is undoubtedly the worse investment I've made on hair extensions. Here are the cons: *When I washed the hair it did not feel like %100 human hair as advertised. It felt like synthetic was added. *After straightening the hair on low heat with flat iron of 200 degrees the hair felt flat, brittle and lifeless, and the hair burned badly. It can't seem to take anymore then 240 degrees heat. *Note the hair was not tinted are manipulated in any shape or fashion. Moroccan oil did not help. *I spent $536 on their premium line only to have the hair matt into a ball after two months of use. I was told the hair would last me 2 years. *Customer service was a definite foreshadowing of the poor quality of the hair. I was told that the 360 lace front would be sent to me overnight suffice to say it never did and I had to complain to customer service to get the problem resolved. Buyer be warned: *Never purchase hair bc a YouTube guru/celebrity said it was great quality. What they send them is not what your hard earn money will receive. this hair is not coming from the Indian temples this is more like your local beauty supply store. *The hair that's featured on their website is not what they will send you. *I've had quality hair that lasted me for three years and this company is not it. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. *Although Indique's hair companies needs a facelift with customer service I can say their hair is the real deal. I purchased hair from them for 3 years and never had issues with the extensions. I will be trying the "Bellami hair" extensions next, hopefully my experience with them will be a better one. read more

I had to practically beg the lady to show me more than one sample. I was told that the hair will last up to 2 years if I take proper care of it but the sales person didn't provide any guidelines about how to do so. Also, the package didn't come with any guidelines for caring. I have bought much cheaper hair and that information was included in the package. My hair doesn't smell bad as some reviewers has stated. Also after I left I saw online the price was suppose to be 126.50 and she charged me 127. The sales girl ( or lack there of) couldn't be more useless. First of all the store is as big as my bathroom so not much Personal space. This is my second time buying hair from this location. The first time was great. The service & the hair quality was great. Although pricey, I didn't mind bc in my opinion the quality back then when I first purchased was better than Indique and cheaper. Today I was a bit turned off & disappointed bc the packaging was horrible. There was no packaging at all! The sales lady just put the hair in a shopping bag as if I'd purchased it from a cheap beauty supply store. The bundles seem light as well. I spend over $400 for 2 bundles, I expected some kind of packaging. No satin bonnet, no box, no tube, no etc. Just put in a shopping bag & the plastic it was stored in. Her Imports, i know for sure if I was one of those Love & Hip Hop chicks, that hair would have been packaged A+. I'm a professional athlete who does many interviews & photo shoots. I usually purchase my hair on line and I was going on vacation and there was bad weather in new york so i decided not to chance it by having it delivered and instead I went to purchase the hair in person at the quincy street location. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!!!!! even when in store the hair seemed suspect to me it didnt seem as high quality as the hair ive previously purchased I even stated that to the person I was dealing with in the store. He assured me that the hair was the same quality and no I did not purchase those discount bundles!! I figured when I got home I would co wash and treat them and they would be okay.I didnt even get my hair bleached our colored because the quality seemed different. I went on vacation my very first time in the beach this hair matted and tangled like you wouldn't believe not to mention the shedding. It was everywhere upon my return to new york 2 weeks later i immediately called the store to complain. The store owner offered to discount my next purchase or take 10 percent of the purchase price since i had a current "hook up deal" I was outraged you spend 300 dollars for some hair that didint even last 2 weeks. I called thier customer service number on the website hoping that as a return customer they would value my concerns and at least offer to replace the hair. They were even nastier like "if you purchased it in store deal with the store" we only address concerns with online orders. I am extremely disappointed. This hair matted tangled and shedded like cheap animal fur. I am angry and upset and cant understand how they can treat the customers this way. So I ordered Her Imports hair about 3 months ago and I have mixed feelings. When the hair came, it smelled AWFUL and they shipped my bundles 3 different colors. The ends of the hair were the dry and brittle. Since I live in Brooklyn, I decided to stop at this store to see if I could exchange for some better quality hair. When I walked in, the store was fairly clean. HOWEVER, the girl that worked there looked HORRIBLE. She had on sweat pants, a t-shirt and her hair. OMG! It was dry and stiff. She knew her top was busted because she tried to put a hat over it. On top of it all, she was rude, ghetto and had no idea what she was talking about. The hair at the store looked worst than what they shipped me, I had no choice to change one of the bundles because it was a number 4 brown and the other two were natural black and like a dark black. Upon me washing and deep conditioning the hair SEVERAL times, the smell wouldn't go away. I decided to look on YouTube and saw a video about soaking your hair in fabric softener. That helped with the smell somewhat. Overall, I liked, NOT LOVED, the quality of the hair. Go 2 inches longer than the length you intentionally want because you will surely have to clip those ends. read more
