3/24 UPDATE: After filing complaints, Yummy sent me an email asking me to return the HD SEA Wavy closure and they would have their "experts" try to restore it as close to possible back to a usable condition. I didn't pay $200 to have a closure restored. It should have been sold to me new. So here's some advice: As an Attorney, I am smart enough to never send a defective item back to a seller who refuses to accept responsibility for selling it defective. Further, I took the closure to the owner of a major beauty supply store. He inspected it and signed an affidavit for me that the closure was NOT 100% Raw human unprocessed hair. He said it was a mixture with a high probability that some was synthetic. He described it as doll hair. This offer from Yummy is quite telling and leads me to believe they knew about selling me this defective closure. We are preparing legal action if I do not receive a refund. ---------------------------------------/////////////////----------------------------------------- I have been a steady customer of Yummy since 2021 and have spent over $8,000. Prior to 2026, I only returned 1 item due to quality issues and have only 2 returns total since becoming a customer. I chose Yummy due to the high quality of their products at that time. The quality of Yummy's products I have received has declined dramatically and I am no longer a Yummy customer. They do not appear to respect loyalty and sold me a defective closure. On Jan 30, 2026, I purchased a RAW SEA Wavy HD Closure for $195 + tax. The total for my complete order was $514. I followed their care instructions directly, even purchasing the brand of conditioner they recommended. IMMEDIATELY, the closure began to shed in clumps, tangle, become matted, and could not be combed or brushed through. I had three email exchanges with Riyan of Yummy customer care who confirmed the instructions I followed. I sent before and after photos to Riyan, which clearly showed the poor structure and state of the closure. My stylist is a witness and will be willing to testify should this become a legal matter. After only a few days of having the closure installed, I had to have it removed, losing the $195 I paid for it and the $300 fee I paid to have it installed. It cost me another $100 to have it removed and the install repaired. Riyan and Yummy have since stopped responding to me. When I did research on Yummy online, I found recent online complaints for the same poor hair quality and customer service issues. One complaint in particular confirmed my suspicions regarding Yummy "banning" customers who dared to request refunds for poor quality products. The writer indicated that when she complained to Yummy and sought a refund for her purchase, she was banned. Yummy did the exact same thing to me on January 4, 2026 after my second return in 5 years for poor quality hair. I followed Yummy's process for a refund, returned the item in unopened and unused condition at my own expense, and Yummy approved the refund. After verifying receipt of the item back to Yummy's warehouse, Yummy failed to issue a refund or communicate with me for over 3 weeks. I filed a complaint with PayPal and they banned me as a customer. read more

very disappointed! i bought Raw Cambodian Curly Wave - 18" / Natural Brown June of 2024. installed twice and the hair has broken off at least 3 and a half inches. i used heat protection as recommended each time i installed it and only installed it twice before. my stylist installed it for the he third time and we could not believe how short it is. never had this experience with any hair before. Before placing my order, I had a question that was answered quickly, which gave me confidence in the business. I then ordered extensions, but the next day I received multiple promotional emails indicating they were on sale. I requested a refund for the price difference, but my request was outright denied. Interestingly, my order was placed in March, and the sale was related to Women's History Month. Given the high price of these extensions and the popularity of this brand, it's disappointing that their sales approach mirrors those of large corporations. I ordered the Raw Cambodian Natural Wave hair in October, & just had it installed yesterday. I purchased hair from yummy about 4 years ago & i absolutely loved it, I did maybe 4/5 installs with it, but it was Brazilian. The quality of the hair doesn't seem to be the same. This Cambodian hair is not good. It's not holding a curl well, the ends feel raggedy, dry, & brittle, even after a trim. It sheds a lot, & it tangles like crazy. Idk if its because I got the black hair, or if I should've conditioned it first, but I'm not happy with this hair, especially for the price. I most likely will not order from Yummy again. read more

Raw lao blow out: 3/5 -This hair sheds terribly. I don't think it will last long because of how bad it sheds. -You will have to cut 3-4 inches off the ends because they're so dry and brittle, the bundles did come 25/26 inches even though I ordered 24 inches though. -This hair tangles so bad in its natural straight. When pressed it tangles much less. -This is a good texture match for heat trained natural hair. This is a poor texture match for coarse natural hair or anyone that has a low luster. -The hair didn't come smelling terrible, it did have a scent that went away after washing and applying some heat protectant (paul mitchell skinny serum) -Would not recommend for the price. There are better alternatives for slightly cheaper that don't shed or tangle as much. If you have coarse hair Mercy Hair Extensions is a better option (it stinks terribly though, must wash and apply products) Pics are of a press and curl and a blow out with wand curls. Oh and they don't have care instructions on their website for this hair which sucks :( read more
