Sitting in her chair is such a calm and enriching experience. i always learn something new when i see her. She has gentle hands that have treated all of my follicles with care, which is esp important to me because i'm tender-headed. i was recently somewhat indecisive about what style i wanted: goddess braids vs short havana twists, and Jennifer took her time to examine my hair and walk me through the pros and cons of all the styles i was contemplating. In the end, i decided on the short havanas as they'll last longer. Now, important to note: Jennifer's pricing is a bit higher than most, but it's because she CARES about your hair and won't let you wild out and do something foolish that'll have you jacked up for the long term. Don't nobody got time to be losing their edges! Lots of other places will charge you a ton of $ just to put a ton of tension on your scalp and next thing you know, you have no hair. No thanks. Jennifer provided professional styling with superior products and with my time constraints as well as wishes in mind. She detangled my hair with a comb without all the extra pulling and tugging that I'm used to and gave me tips on how to detangle. She washed my hair without tangling it and installed my style without leaving me with a headache and unsure of whether I liked the way the style looked on me. She made my hairstyle all my own and complimentary of my face. Fatima has a website that doesn't provide anyone name when booking a service. I read most of everything that was on the site, but after booking the appointment literally the night before at 11am, I made a point to message the number the next morning to confirm the appointment. I did not get a reply back. I believe I called two or three times and called other numbers that I found on her Instagram and Google. No one answered the phone. After I booked the appointment I noticed that it said any available staff, which was odd because the last time I booked the appointment it actually said Fatima and I believe it was a different site when I first booked. Anyway, I go to the salon and they say Fatima isn't there but someone else is going to do your hair. I'm like, okay, well, since you're doing my hair, this is how I want it. The girl isn't understanding, so she calls Fatima and puts her on the phone; so her and I are speaking. We are going back and forth about how I want my hair to look, and she is telling me the price. First, the special that I booked was $120, 6 stitch into a bun. I believe she was saying that because I wanted it straight down, she was adding $20 extra, which did not make sense. Then I was saying no, I don't want it going all the way down to my nape, I want 6 to 8 boxbraids in the back with the 6 stitch on top going down. She then proceeded to say it was $160. I'm like, okay. She thought I wanted something like fulani, but that wasn't what I was saying. The staff that was there ready to braid my hair didn't want to do my hair anymore because I originally wanted Fatima to do my hair and because of the back and fourth she didn't want to do it and I didn't like it. I said I understood that, but now i have to change my plans and figure it out. While still on the phone with Fatima, I asked when will she be available. She says you have to check the site. I'm like. wow, okay. She sent me the deposit back, and I left. I check the site once again, and it doesn't provide her name or anyone else's name; it says (Staff, worker or something, no one name. I SAY ALL this to say. The site needs to be changed. The phone numbers they need to be updated, and the customer service needs to be better. It was a waste of my time, and Fatima was no help, and she seemed to be the owner of the business. Ridiculous.

This was my first time coming to the salon, and I will definitely be returning -- no complaints at all. I came in needing color correction, and Brandi took her time to do it right. It ended up being about five hours with two rounds of processing, but I never felt rushed or overlooked. She was very attentive throughout and made sure my hair stayed healthy, using a lot of conditioner and including a protein treatment, which I really appreciated. Brandi also has a lot of personality -- she's fun, welcoming, and keeps the energy up, but at the same time she's very efficient and quick with her work. You can tell she really knows and loves what she's doing. Instead of going straight in with heat, she set my hair on rollers and had me sit under the dryer, which gave me a smooth, beautiful finish without unnecessary damage. My hair came out looking amazing -- the color is exactly what I wanted, and it feels just as good as it looks. The total came out to around $200 (and i tipped extra), which felt fair and to be expected given the time, care, and multiple processes involved. I couldn't be more pleased with the results and highly recommend Brandi to anyone looking for great color and care.

I came here in August to get my first keratin treatment. I have incredibly curly thick hair and was just so tired of fighting with it. I wanted to try something to smooth it out and had done some research on keratin treatments. The first time I got the treatment here, I really liked it. My hair was really smooth and so easy to style. It didn't revert back to a wearable curl pattern but I was ok with that as I wanted to wear it straight. At around 3 months, I started losing more and more hair to breakage which made me question if it was time to return for a re-do or my hair was damaged and I needed to take a break. I returned to the salon, explained what was happening to the stylist and she examined my hair and told me it's just time for another treatment. She then applied the product to my hair from root to the tip of my hair and sealed it etc. I waited 4 days to wash the treatment out which was her guidance. When I did, pieces of my hair coated my entire shower. Literally handfuls of my hair were breaking off. If I just look at my hair, it breaks. I'm shocked I even have hair left on my head after how much hair I've lost. When I went to get my haircut, the stylist was shocked. She said I just have to cut everything off over the next few months until my new growth comes back. I can't wear my hair out until the fall so I have to keep it braided down for the next 6 months. I cried so hard while she cut away everything I had. I used to have the most beautiful hair and now literally all of it is gone. My new stylist actually thinks the woman who did my keratin used a relaxer and double processed but either way, she said it's the most damage she's seen in years. I just feel so betrayed and violated by this whole experience. I just have no idea why someone would do something like this. I'm truly devastated.
