The experience: I went in on a random weekday, with the intention of getting a wash and blow dry to flat iron my hair at home. I was offered a beverage, welcomed warmly and midway through my wash decided to get a full silk press. I am in the process of growing my hair and preserving my curl pattern and communicated this ad nauseam and felt understood and heard. Acknowledging that I switched up a bit during the process, the team quickly pivoted. The owner stepped in to rewash my hair, another stepped in for a trim and Jammie pressed my hair TO THE GODS! The silk press: This was the silkiest and most bone straight silk press I've ever gotten. My hair was shiny, smelled great, and was super light and airy. I generally struggle to keep a silk press more than a week, this silk press lasted a full month. I was quite weary over time that my hair would not revert back. It was just too straight! Got my silk press on 11/7 and washed my hair on 12/8 and my curls immediately reverted back with minimal heat damage! I will definitely be returning again and of course encourage folks to be wary with any heat services but would recommend Sew! read more

Apparently now I have to give a one star review due to the response to my negative review. Shawanda I am disappointed with some of your responses to my negative review. As a business owner I think taking constructive criticism is vital and normal for the business to improve and not for the owner to bash a client who chooses to write a negative review on yelp for their service that they were not happy with. I also feel it's unprofessional to throw the race card in and say that it's truly sad what my black people do. Shawanda if I were not black and was another race you would have not made this statement. This has nothing to do with race, tearing each other down, or exploiting the business on yelp, it has something to do with the quality of service that I received that was it nothing personal or deep about it. I think my review was pretty fair, mild, and honest and I should be able to write if I received poor service without underlying tone in responses back from the owner. So should anyone else. Shawanda I hope you reconsider carefully how you respond to negative reviews about your establishment. It's only for improvement. To the consumer beware of this salon! They prioritize making clients pay for additional services over integrity. I also overheard the owner (Shawanda) ask the stylist who did my wash if I booked and "paid" for the trim online. I booked a service with you and you don't know what I'm getting? I've been coming here for a year for the same service (wash, blowout, and trim) without issue--until today. For the first time, I was told there's a $55 detangling fee, despite never hearing this before, even when my hair was in similar or less prepared states in the past and I wasn't charged a fee. The new stylist insisted on the fee, confirmed it with Shawanda and spent about 15 minutes detangling hair that wasn't severely tangled. To make matters worse, the stylist was sick and repeatedly interrupted my service to handle other clients and tasks. Extremely disappointing coming from a place I was usually satisfied with. I won't compromise convenience over integrity though and will patronize a salon that doesn't aggressively try to charge for add-ons. UPDATE for clarity: I was charged for a situation that essentially didn't apply to me as I was not "removing braids from an install OR braid extensions AND needed additional care to untangle tangled hair." Shawanda essentially lied to me over the phone and acted as though this was a service added to tangled hair regardless and that the time limit didn't matter. That is not what is stated here this is a 30 minute service for a SPECIFIC need, such as detangling after a protective style left in for two months. Big braids... sew ins don't really last that long. I wish the sew in were taken as serious as they should be. Not just for money.

I came to Sew Brooklyn to get tracks sewn in the back of my hair but because I am inexperienced when it comes to weaves, I was told that I actually should have gotten the Sew Flippin' Cute. I was also told that I needed to purchase hair at the salon instead of the hair I had purchased from the beauty supply store because the hair I had would get "tangled and matted" quickly. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with this service. Not only were the tracks sewn in too tight to my hair, but when I took the weave out (only 1 month later despite how I was told I could keep it in for 8 weeks), I lost so much hair and was shocked by the hair loss (see photo below). I believe there were too many tracks in my hair and the tightness with which they were braided in caused my hair to fall out. Along with that, the hair I was instructed to buy from the salon also got matted and tangled within the 2nd week of wearing it. I had to remove some of the tracks myself because of how bulky the weave looked toward the top of my head and still struggled to style the hair in a way that looked natural unlike what I was told at the salon. I was told this hair could last for years but after shampooing and conditioning it like I would my normal hair, it still does not look the same as it did when it was first installed. I am deeply disappointed and discouraged that my own natural hair is drastically shorter than what it was prior to my appointment despite this being a "protective style." I spent a significant amount of money on a weave installation and bundles that was not installed well and resulted in damaging my own hair. I spent over $600 on the hair and weave install itself not including the tip for the stylist. I do not recommend this salon especially if you've never done a weave before. I am currently trying to regrow my hair and feel very sad that I came to this salon with high hopes and expectations only for them to ruin my hair. read more

I had met Kenna &, by looking at her Instagram account & viewing her work & her demeanor made me want to try her. I finally did on 2/23/21. While she multitasked weaving my hair & another client, she made sure that the braiding wasn't too tight & extended great hospitality. A little over week ago, I went to get my hair done at Sew BK. It's been a while since I've had a sew-in and I am not someone who gets protective styles often, so I was a bit apprehensive. However, after communicating this with my stylist I felt like I would be in good hands. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I trusted that my stylist knew what she was doing. I addressed my concerns mid service regarding the track placements and she ensured she'd fix it. However, post service my sewin was bulky. The owner noticed my lack of satisfaction and attempted to fix it. To my suprise, when I got home, tracks were unraveling in the front AND my hair looked like an old weave vs fresh out the salon chair. After further analyzing and reflecting, I realized there were several steps my stylist did not do regarding shaping, styling, framing my face, etc. And truthfully my end results did not look professional. The pictures attached are from the same day I received the service. I went back yesterday, about a week later to get the sew in removed. Instead of a refund, I was offered a discount for another service or have my sew-in redone by the owner. However, at this point the trust, security and absolute guarantee I'll receive quality service is tainted. With that being said, If you do choose to patronize this salon, please only book with the owner because the skill level is not consistent across the board. read more

Update: I contacted the salon, and was offered a considerable discount as an accommodation for the experience detailed below. This seemed reasonable and I was willing to give it another shot. Unfortunately, after confirming the appointment I received another call asking me to take down my review in recognition of continued "excellent service". I stated that I would prefer to update my review after my appointment once I've had an updated experience. However, the owner (via the salon manager) was insistent that I take down the review now. I had an appointment scheduled for Friday afternoon but unexpectedly had to travel for work so I called to see if I could move my appointment too Thursday and the receptionist spoke to so pmeone in the salon and confirmed me for 4:45. I leave work IN MANHATTAN to come to Brooklyn for my appointment. At 4:36pm I get a call from someone at the salon asking "am I still coming"? I let them know that I was en route. The woman tells me that I would need to be rescheduled because I'm late. I tell her my appt is for 4:45 and she says they have me scheduled for 4:30. I ask if the 15 minutes really makes that much of a difference (I waited 30 minutes during my last appointment before I was washed, FYI), she said "yes, I have to reschedule you". I'm obviously annoyed and super confused so I say "no thank you". THEN, I get the confirmation of my cancellation, guess what time it says...4MFing45. So I call back and ask for the manager. I let her know I'm frustrated that a 4:45 appointment would be cancelled at 4:36 for LATENESS. She says "some of my services were scheduled before 4:45". What??? Why??? I read her the confirmation email and tell her there's no indication of that and ask that they reinstate my appointment (it's now 4:41 and I'm about to pull up to the salon). Well, now here comes the TRUTH. Apparently, there was a family emergency with the stylist and she can't take the appointment anymore. This has NOTHING to do with my arrival time or perceived lateness this is all THEM. This experience was incredibly disingenuous, rude and an insult to your customer's intelligence. I've been their previously and gotten a half-up half down style done by Jas, and it was fine. I went a couple of weeks ago, and was disappointed in the service and my hair at the end. The stylist never introduced herself, so I can't tell you what her name was. I booked a "squeeze me in" appointment. On their service portal it estimated that my service would take 3 hours. Given that it was a last minute appt., I expected that it may take a little longer than that, but not twice that..... I was there for 6 hours, spent nearly $300 and still had to come home and fix my hair. To add insult to injury, the day after my sew-in I found two loose tracks. I was excited to come to this salon and I have been following them for a while. I finally took the step to come into the salon for a relaxer touch up. However, when I left, I really wanted to cry. I went in and the stylist, who was very pleasant, started my relaxer but when I was finished with the washing process, I realized that my roots were puffy and not straight. I did get an explanation for this AFTER the relaxer and after she saw that I was unhappy, but if I were given this explanation prior to the process, I would have made another decision on my hair or offered input as to how straight my roots usually get, etc. The wash/ shampoo part was mediocre and felt like someone was barely touching my scalp. I was frustrated. I was offered a return visit in a couple weeks for a corrective relaxer but I will not be coming back. The point was to have the initial relaxer complete. I had higher expectations and when I got home, my roots? Back to puffy again. SewBK seems to be great for sew-ins and blow outs/ silk presses and the establishment is chic, but otherwise... I wouldn't come back for any hair treatments at ALL. I was sorely disappointed. As a new customer, I would say to please communicate more thoroughly before the process begins. read more

I absolutely love my long kinky curly sew on weave!! Check out pics-cute right?! Highly recommend Sew Brooklyn for 3 reasons. 1. Respect of customer's time-I've had spectacular stylists in the past but they NEVER kept the appointment times. It's always something and then since they are backed up, so I'm squeezed in between another client playing hot potato styling chair. You don't have to worry about that here. She made me feel like I was all that mattered. I had numerous processes and left in my desired time-awesome! 2. Today was my first time and the entire experience was great from setting the appointment online last night, to walking out the door freshly laid. Everyone was nice and offered welcoming service. I got to the salon 30 mins early expecting to sit and wait, however my stylist Cece had just finished someone and pleasantly told me she would start. She offered me a beverage and made sure I was comfortable. The braiding method, which includes a net, saves alot of time and is actually better for your hair. I just moved to NY and got my hair done here, and won't be going anywhere else! I love Sew Brooklyn! When I came in I was greeted by the owner Shawanda who was very nice, showed me where to put my jacket, gave me water, and she did my trim. I had a Sew Basic with a middle part. I brought my own hair and Letitia had it done within 2 hours! I love how my hair looks. She is so quick and precise. The prices are very reasonable, you are able to pay with cash or credit card. I was able to get the first timer discount since I joined their mailing list on the website. I loved that I could put my tip in with my card instead of have to bring cash. There is WiFi, good music, refreshments, and great conversation. All of the women in there were great. 10/10! read more

I am writing this review with the preface that overall the stylists were polite and did a pretty decent job with installing my hair and styling it. Over the phone, I requested a hair color application and weave installment. When I came into the salon, the receptionist was a little disorganized and I guess wasn't initially able to find my appointment in their system. She did eventually and a stylist started my hair. She was very pleasant but I could tell that she was new and a bit unsure about what to do (no problem, everyone has to start somewhere). At the sink I reminded her that I needed to have my hair colored because the weave was darker and she assured me that she would.....she didn't. Once I was back in the stylists chair and she began braiding my hair it began apparent that I wasn't going to get my hair colored. I mentioned it to her again and she spoke to the head stylist who told me that at this point it was too late to do so, also she didn't seem to realize that it was what I had requested. Obviously I was very upset. I checked the text confirmation they sent and it did state that I was to have a color and installment. The head stylist ended up putting in a lighter colored weave that was supposed to help blend the two colors together but it did not. On top of this she and another coworker proceeded to talk over me whilst installing the hair, she also cut my tracks and I wish she'd asked before doing so. I've had this hair installed before and didn't need to have it cut but now I won't be able to reuse it. The difference between my hair and the weave is pretty pronounced in a well lit room and outside, and that is why I wanted the color. Bottom line, I won't be back here again. For the cost of this visit I expected them to be much more organized and for all of my requests to be made. read more

So.. after much review and being optimistic, I gave this spot a shot. Making an appointment was easy and quick response. I was unsure of what style I wanted so I didn't commit to anything. I was sent an email for a $50.00 deposit the day before bc they said I am a new customer :-/. Fine. No I didn't give a deposit. In the email, it stated that if a deposit is not received, the appointment will be cancelled. I decided why not, but not going to lie forgot and fell asleep. Woke up like-oh shoot. So I sent a message on YELP to see if my appt. was still on since I forgot to give the deposit. I got a response saying yes. So I headed to BKLYN from Queens in the rain. Got there 20 mins late. My first time to the salon I called and mentioned I would be 15 minutes beyond the wait time. I was told there is a 35 late regardless of it being your first time I said ok. I had the full service bundle with closure with the master stylist. once in the chair a camera was put in front of me with lights to tape my "transformation ". Awkward . Who wants the world to see them get a full weave from beginning to end. -- ok I did it anyway. I was not asked if my comfort level nor if I wanted to be on their website. Second visit was my maintenance. The master stylist was 45 minutes late. ( No she didn't pay me a late fee ) . Anywho hair was styled ok. When I came home I notice d that the part began to look wiggish. Also that there was a crinkle in the front. It was no longer flat. I called the next day and the receptionist told me to use my foundation to cover it. I don't wear foundation and actually never had a closure . Soo this was all new for me. The receptionist mentioned well I will make a note for the master stylist to remove the closure and reposition and spray tint it. I said oh ok. When I come in for my appointment I arrived at 9 and at 11 I'm still sitting there. Ok I'm waiting . She asked me am I disgruntled I said no I just have a conf call and then asked her how she was doing. -- anywho she then says well I'm going to just take this. Closure off and put it whereever you want it . Then began to angrily Place the closure all over my head. " well I want it it here here or where -- very cruel. I said well I would like it where it was placed initially . I also mentioned I'm sure it just grew out ( hinting that it was no fault of hers ). I am very disappointed with sew bk, I made an appointment for 12pm weeks ago. I realized I would be late and tried calling at 11 and 11:30 to no answer. I arrived 5 min to late past their grace period. I was completely unaware that there would be a late fee, The website says nothing nor did the women who called to confirm say anything. Will never return. Update: As you can see in their response. No this was not listed on their website. I have proof I called twice and they failed to answer. Worst service I ever had in my whole life! READ ALL BEFORE SERVICE (skip to the last two paragraphs if you want to get straight to the point ) OK so I came to Sew Brooklyn last month for my Bahamas trip. I got my first ever frontal and my stylist was amazing. Any questions I had were answered. She never gave the impression that me wanting to know things about the products and procedures was a problem. When I came back to nyc I found out she was no longer at sew bk and went to another salon. I reached out to her about getting a frontal touch up however, she had not responded. So today I went to Sew Brooklyn again to get the So frontal. I got my appointment times mixed up and came a bit late. They were still able to see me as I paid the 35 dollar late fee. So I'm asked to come this way but this stylist who didn't even introduce her self. We go to the sink she washes my hair. I go under the dryer, ok after 2 hrs of drying time, between the wash and then bonding the cap down, which was done with got to be spray! Ok fast forward, now she's hasn't really exuded any good customer service. I tried to strike up convo and he replies was super fake. Like girl if u don't care then just say you don't want to talk but like everyone else is talking to their clients. Like hello don't you know about client retention. So she applies so glue or bond in a unlabeled bottle. Then reapplies the frontal. Keep in mind I have a very visible tan line from my trip due to the first time I got it done. So all she had to do was make sure it went right back over the lighter part of my head. Why is the lace now in the middle of my forehead! I have a small head and I got like a 3 head so now you got me looking foolish. Ok! And every time I ask or say something about it, she's like let me finish. Now I showed her a pic of what I wanted. Whyyyy are the curls going the wrong way and why did she curl it first. Everyone knows you lay the hair down with the mousse, then do the baby hairs as though you doing fingerwaves. She sprayed alcohol on the edge brush then spray got2B spray on the brush and laid them down. I felt like this was done on purpose because I let her know many times that it was a mess. Like I'm a easy going person, I don't like getting upset. You can hear that I was upset as my voiced cracked but she looked so unbothered. This is supposed to be your work, a masterpiece and if someone is paying 100 for a service they deserve to get what they want. Like I have a photo shoot and I can't take pictures like this. At first they told me they can't do anything. I paid left and went downstairs but my spirit was not ok with this. So I called my husband and I went right back up and told them this has to be fix. They, I guess were together on this agreement. Like all I was asking was to fix the lace and baby hairs. Like the lace is white/ translucent and I'm obviously brown do it's like right there. Everyone who walked out was on point. Like this is not mean girls! I ended up receiving a full refund. I was going to say half but my stylist didn't even apologize or anything. Like I felt like she had prejudged me when I came in and the vibe was fake. Now I can see why the stylist that slayed my hair the first time left. I have a special occasion coming up and unfortunately my go-to stylist is out of town to give me a silk press before the festivities. I live nearby and had a good experience here a few years ago, so hoped I could come here for a silk press on my recently installed weave. Today I received a call saying that because the install wasn't done at Sew BK, that they are unable to do a maintenance service. Because this is leading up to an event, I was clearly in a pinch and hoped they could help... but I guess they won't. I'm giving two stars primarily because I got the call a week ahead of the appointment and can bring my business elsewhere. How can I explain the level of dirty Shawanda did me in here. It never crossed my mind to not trust her...but i was trusting...so i got scammed. *100* (like her other negative yelp reviews i'm sure she'll say "we have no record of you having been at our salon", i'm sure) but i was there, being charged 8 bills after being quoted 3, and brainfartingly going along with her scam. I will start at the very beginning to paint an accurate picture. My boyfriend works long hours doing homeless outreach from 2p-2a. I was unemployed at the time of this experience and felt very distressed in general, and one night stood in the bathroom mirror "trimming my hair." i knew i should immediately stop but could not. i looked like a sideways mullet post-apocalyptic homeless punk hick in the 80s. i knew if i went to a white salon "jonah from grand rapids michigan" would say my only option was a pixie cut. so i thought i could be smart by instead getting a sew-in. The next day my friend amani helped me find a spot nearby. we called to ask price. they said "A full weave is $200 to $300." We went in, and explained what I did. They laughed behind my back when I went to hang up my coat. I asked the price again. lead stylist and owner shawanda said "the sew in is $200 and the installation is $95." I said OK. I asked if I could get some tracks on the bottom for length and thickness and she perked up like "Yeah we can add more!" She rushed over and showed me 26-inch-long tracks. Knowing two feet of hair would be more expensive I said no, I want it to hit my chest, not my stomach. "Ok," she said and went away to get other hair. "This isn't gonna cost me like five or six hundred dollars right?" I asked the braider. "No, no," the braider assured me. Shawanda came back and started sewing all the hair in 100 miles an hour because they were near closing, but i gave her the benefit of the doubt. i asked her all about her business, when she got her start. she told me about her baby and her plans to expand. i wrote her a great review while still in the chair. Afterward when I went to pay, Shawanda was like "So today will be $830........" "Oh my god," I said, instantly in fight-or-flight mode. I felt scammed. I don't like conflict. i had enough because i was about to pay rent. So I just ran my card on the ipad square. The tip prompt came up. I am always used to just hitting "25%" on the tip prompt whenever I pay for something with square. So I hit 25%. With tax it all came to $1,118.52. Horrible experiences after the 1st visit, being in the salon over 6 hours, pay over $1K plus significant tip, to return to the 2nd visit to pay $130 for braid, wash, but leave with weave untouched for another lengthy visit. Staff great but owner very unprofessional as she snatched my cape off while paying. Please avoid this salon if you can. I am a newbie to getting weaves, this was my first so I was a bit hesitant. I didn't know what to expect once in the chair and I am also relatively new to the area. 5 star from beginning to end! I had some troubles getting there as my lyft cancelled and I had to order a new one. I called to saw I would be 10 mins late because of it and the receptionist was nice enough to bump my appointment to 1:30 instead of 1 so I wouldnt be charged the late fee and had enough time to get there. That was really appreciated! She even lent me a plug for my iphone cord to charge my phone (BLESS YOU!) It took a minute once I was there to be seen but I didn't mind, I know how Black salons work and it was far-far less of a wait then you would have at other places. They are really efficient with their multitasking and making everyone feel taken care of. Had lovely conversations with the lady who braided my hair as well as Shawanda. Everyone was very upbeat and you can tell they all enjoy working there. I LOVE how my hair turned out. There is some tightness, but I expected that and nothing head throbbing nor near any discomfort you would need an aspirin for. They really are professionals! Amazing visit! My stylist was Nie (recommended by a co-worker). I had a 10 am appt and was seen immediately. Nie was great at suggestions for styling my natural hair in a perm rod set. She was easy to talk to and truly listened and gave great advice on various hair concerns. Since it was my first time there, I did not know what to expect, but the team and the atmosphere was great! I came in for my 10:00 appointment and was offered a nice cold beverage while I wait. Although I do feel that she was a bit inexperienced with understanding what exactly I wanted with my hair color, I think my overall experience makes up for it. I would definitely come back again. This is a beautifully thought out salon! When I first arrived I was welcomed at the door. The receptionist walked me to the waiting room where she offered me a drink(which included mimosas).The waiting room was very cute with floral designs all around. I have never been to a salon so beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly. My hair stylist Kenna was absolutely charming. At first I was hesitant to go to the hairdresser because of my negative experiences as child but she changed my mind. I feel like I was a celebrity and Kenna treated me so well. We talked the whole time that I was there and she was very gentle with my hair. My experience was amazing and I am happy I did my wedding trial here. I will be returning to do my hair for my wedding. Best weave I've ever gotten. Period. I'm a Brooklyn girl and in my 30+ years here, I've only gotten maybe a dozen weaves. I've always liked the idea of some added glamour but have never been truly happy with the outcome. Too bumpy. Not enough leave out to cover tracks. Too much leave out to maintain. Too tight. Too loose. Too weavy! I have always left a salon thinking "How am I gonna make this work?" or "Ugh... I've gotta keep this in for at least two weeks or I've burned money." Not this time, people! I have been upgraded!! I done glowed-up!!! I just learned that term at the salon, by the way. Which brings me to my next point: I had a blast just being here. I don't have many homegirls these days and I'm so out of touch with what's poppin' these days. Being at Sew Brooklyn was like hanging out with old girlfriends or at least eavesdropping on the cool kids' convos! I am seriously looking forward to returning if only to find out how things turn out with T's new man or S's slow burn. So much tea! I even spilled a little bit of my own. Albeit, sheepishly. Anyway, I was lucky to get a very last minute appointment. It's best to call the salon or book via SewBK.com instead of contacting on Yelp. The salon boasts about no waiting around and quick work. Don't go expecting to be in and out. I did have to wait a while for my turn in the chair but I have never been to a salon and not been made to wait so why should place be any different? What matters is that the service was 100% worth the wait! I booked the senior stylist and she installed, cut and styled my weave. Another woman, the resident braider, braided my hair down and sewed a net onto the rows but the senior stylist oversaw that step as well and stepped in to make the parts exactly the way she felt they should be. I mention this because my first thought was "Wait, the senior stylist isn't gonna handle me herself from start to finish?!" But this is the way it works and the braider did an excellent job. Quality products were used at every step and the staff has opinions which I like as I have a hard time making decisions. OK... This review has gone on long enough. The staff both professional and irreverent. They are skilled and knowledgeable. The rates are what I consider to be reasonable and there were no surprises. The place is clean, spacious and comfortable. My hair looks f*cking fabulous! I highly recommend Sew Brooklyn. Shawanda, especially, but I saw Tamia, one of the other stylists' work, and her clients left looking amazing too! I'm happy and will be back. read more

A truly excellent salon... friendly, great vibe and Shawanda worked magic on my hair. It was my first sew in - I'm white with very fine hair and did not know much about the process. Shawanda was super knowledgeable about options that would look natural without damaging my hair and helpful with explaining options. She recommended sewing in a few tracks for volume and length - a full weave wasn't necessary. She was meticulous about the process and quoting costs. Final cost was less than expected because we used less hair than anticipated. My hair looks better than ever and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. One of the worst experience ever. Traveled for 2hrs for this and this what i got. I read a negative review on the bottom and said nope let me give them a benefit of a doubt little did i know I was playing with my emotions. How do we arrive early to our appointment and Shaw the "stylist" wasn't even there then we call they say she will be there in 10min which was 15 min later. Instead of standing outside we decided to go stand by the back since it was freezing. But because she we stepped away fro literally 5min they decide to leave the salon and close. I was really excited to find a spot in my new neighborhood with such great reviews. They charge for EVERYTHING....including WASHING YOUR HAIR... The assistant was nice, but without asking, he braided my hair EXTREMELY LOOSE and then applied netting. I don't like that, but I thought it would be a new experience, so I went with it. Nie did my hair. I wish she would've have rescheduled me when she was feeling better because it took forever and the whole time she was writhing in pain. The assistant offered me water or champagne at the beginning. I had to keep reminding him that yes I would love water. After awhile he brought me a cup of tap water as if he found some ole cup and was trying to shut me up about the water HE offered me. I didn't drink it. I just acted like I drank a few sips.Most people that offer water at a salon give you bottled water. #IJS My hair didn't even last the entire day. It fell. I have to spend soooo much time on it in the mornings and, for me, that defeats the purpose of getting a weave. I like to wake up done. I thought I'd give a few weeks to adjust and cool down. I just called and asked if they would reinstall my hair without the netting because I actually hate it. Nie said that I would be charged an additional $50 for smaller braids. I asked if she felt better because the last time was a bad situation. Then I advised that I didn't like my first experience with them and am willing to give them another chance and you still want to charge me additional fees. Her reply was that the owner makes them charge it. I waited to write my yelp review as they asked because I wanted to give them a chance to make things right and keep a customer. But clearly they do not care about how they make you feel and clearly they are fine with not keeping new clientele. 5 Star service!! From the moment I got my last min appointment (I was a lil nervous because It was too easy to get an appointment) to the receptionist to the stylist assistant to the owner/stylist.
