Very spacious, light, and super clean. It looks a bit like a salon in the city with a good Brooklyn vibe. While Covid may have hindered them from starting with a huge bang, it didn't destroy them. I've gone to Wild & Grace several times and I love it! This is definitely my go-to salon and I will be returning regularly. I've had Diane, Grace, and Cam do my hair and recommend them all. Almost 2 years ago, Diane gave me partial highlights and a wolfcut which I loved. She also recommended products that are excellent and I still use. I was thrilled with the cut and color. This year I got my hair done (a trim and full highlights) by Grace, and then my highlights touched up by Cam. Both services were excellent. I am so thrilled with my hair. I completely trust their expertise and opinions but they also included me in the process, checking in with me and making sure I was getting just what I wanted. I really appreciate their thoughtfulness. Additionally, the shampoo girls/stylists in training/assistants are all wonderful. Everyone is kind and funny and very talented. The staff are just great. If you're turned off by the price, I assure you that you will not find anything cheaper with the same or better quality. Paying $300-$500 for my cuts and color have all been absolutely worth it. I will not be trusting others with my hair! W&G uses R+Co products which are excellent and top of the line. They put me on to R+Co and I haven't looked back! I can see the visible difference in my hair using the shampoo, conditioner, and styling products. One time when I was repurchasing shampoo and conditioner I stopped in to restock and asked Cathy Grace for her opinion which she gave freely which I so appreciated. As a man and a chef, I needed to be able to tie it back, but wanted it cut / blended shoulder length, so I can wear it down. Veronica absolutely nailed it! My hair stylist moved to Texas and I was devastated, which isn't an exaggeration. It's not easy finding a stylist you love, and it took me about six years of living in NY to connect with her. Ever since, I've been floating around from place to place getting okay cuts and not even bothering with color. Enter Wild & Grace. I had an important event, and after getting feedback about my hair from the event producer (yes really) I needed to get it refreshed and fast. I picked this place because I heard great things, and those great things were all true. First thing to know, this isn't a discount salon. The people that work here are all masters at their craft and it's priced accordingly. That said, they don't nickel and dime you for every service. I've always found it odd that salons charge for a blowout after you get your hair colored. How can they, or you, see what the color looks like? Why pay all that money to not look like you just left the salon? It happened to me once out of sheer ignorance of the practice, and because I didn't book it in advance, they didn't have the time to do it. I left the salon with a wet mop of hair, very annoyed and never went back. Wild and Grace understands this, and those services are included in the price. My hair? Is amazing. It's so shiny and vibrant. Cathy, my stylist, 1000% listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly that. She also listened when I told her I needed my blowout to look good the following morning for my event. She made it so that my hair looked even better the next day! The first thing the producer said when I walked on set was "wow, your hair is fantastic!" It is extremely clean and they follow all Covid guidelines strictly. Not only was my service phenomenal but I felt completely safe and they provided masks, sanitizers and went to extra mile to keep everything clean. I'm a curly haired gal so it's hard for me to place trust in the hands of someone with scissors after years of bad hair dos and cuts, but she made me feel confident in the plan to go shorter and lighter but not too light. Also, I'd recently had back surgery and am still in the recovery phase and when I mentioned it, she was very empathetic and made sure to check in on if I was comfortable throughout the appointment.
