My Mother had two different tows done. The first driver did not give her a ticket, she paid in cash. The second driver the next day towed it to the repair shop. This time she paid with a card and they gave her a receipt. I have been trying for two days to get the first receipt so we can turn it into the insurance. They send me to accounting each time I call. I have to leave a message each time with no response. They tell me she is really busy. Really, My Mom is 83 years old. Taking advantage of our senior citizens. Very frustrating, not a good service!! Henry's Towing Service helped me when my car was broke down in Branson. We knew it wasn't an easy issue like a jumpstart. I had called A&L Automotive for help with my car issue and they referred me to Henry's for towing when I asked. Note that because they have a referral relationship you can roll your towing into your car repair bill and get a discount! (I did not do this as I wanted to submit my receipt to insurance but I thought it was a great option). I called Henry's early on a Saturday morning and left a message. They called back, let me know they'd have a driver in the area in about an hour. They also asked if we needed a ride to the shop too or if they were just taking the car. They were patient with me (I was a bit stressed and almost cry-y - it was embarrassing but they were professional). That worked. Guess what - their driver arrived like 15 mins later! He was friendly, polite, told me what to expect and then got down to business. He had my car loaded up quickly and securely. He also had a very clean truck and room for both my friend and I to ride along. Henry's Towing was very helpful and really helped make this stressful out of town car breakdown experience manageable. I am EXTREMELY upset because I was trying to do the right thing in saving everyone money. BEWARE Oh Henry's does not inform you they require documents other than your insurance card. They will NOT work with the insurance company on this issue either. Because I moved revelry and everything is still in boxes I had to go to the licensing office to get a new title or registration. It is UNPROFESSIONAL for me to not have been informed of this policy at the time my vehicle was towed away. Thank goodness for Henry's Towing service and thier outstanding Serivce! John Driver #88 was a life saver! My wife's car stopped running on North bound Hwy 65, during rush hour! Fortunately, my wife guided the car to the shoulder, and contacted me to assist her. We tried calling the service that we had a contract with, but no matter what was said, they continued to have her go on hold, (dropped twice), and never got a tow truck to us, nor did they contact anyone to provide safety assistance. Once I arrived, I contacted 9-1-1 for some help. The Missouri Department of Highway Safety arrived very quickly. They assisted in getting a tow truck service, Henry's Towing Service, that showed up in less than 20 minutes! John Driver, #88, was awesome in action. He moved so quickly, that he had the car up on to his flatbed truck AND dropped the car off at the dealership that was only a few miles away. John was a true professional and provided great service. This company refused to tow a vehicle because a mechanic lied and said he had a lien on the car. They needed a receipt, and the mechanic gave her a crap on that said, " It's their car. Take it." So they refused to tow it and said that they believed the mechanic. Why would he give her the key and car back if she owed him money? And the receipt was clearly from that mechanics shop. OVER CHARGED!!!! After finding out the engine in the car I had Henry's tow was blown, I called to have the vehicle towed to my residence. Told the man on the phone that I wouldn't be home but how to leave the vehicle in the driveway and gave my card number. Had to go to the cell phone store because I was having trouble with my phone. After getting everything set up with a new phone, a call from Henry's was missed. I was informed, my car was taken back to the lot and a message was left on my phone with an ultimatum, to call within 20 min or my car will be impounded!! So because the person on the phone didn't get the card number right, the car was returned to their lot and I had to pay $50 on top of the two tow fees I was paying. On 8/29/2021 My rigg needed a heavy duty repair and needed a wrecker to accommodate my truck and loaded trailer to the Peterbilt in Springfield. On 8/31/2021 I was in desperate need of diesel in my loaded trailer. I called Henry's again and over the top service! Also, helped me with items I needed from getting a 5gallon diesel container and a funnel at HQ then picking me up and taking me to TA to get diesel and back to peterbilt. MATT S. really impressed me when he double checked payment status with the body shop to ensure I wasn't towing a car without paying for my services there. Initially our experience with Henry's was exceptional after they picked up my son's car after his accident. However, after calling them to set up a time to release the car the salvage company told us charges would need to be paid before release. I asked Henry's since we do live farther away if it would be ok to handle the charges at the time of pick up. They said that would be fine. We called to ask about pick up today and the company picking up the car said since charges haven't been paid they won't be able to pick up till Saturday! This mistake cost another $75! This is going to be a lengthy and honest review so bear with me: I called Henry's after I was in a accident that left my car underivable. The gentleman they came to get my car was speedy, nice and gave me all the information I would need, as I was having my car towed to their lot. So this is when my review turns bad. I previously had released my car via phone call with a lady in the front office. I show up to get my belongings out of my vehicle and was uninformed/unaware of the documentation I would need just to get my stuff out of my car. Which was not previously told to me when I was on phone earlier with them. The lady in the office told me: " it was 2020 I can email or fax the info to her." Alright. My vehicle I worked very hard for and was ruined by someone without insurance is sitting totaled in your lot and this lady treated me like I was dumb. I've never been in this situation and she was unfriendly, rude and not helpful what so ever. The next day the individuals that's where taking my car showed up to get it and they where told the vehicle had not been released, which I had DONE the prior day via phone call with my agent. Which tells me they are also very unorganized and unaware of what they are doing. In conclusion I would never recommend Henry's for any service. We flew into Springfield airport & our car wouldn't start...we called AAA & they sent Chris #82, from Henry's...it was 15 degrees out & not only did he unfreeze the door lock's & hood but he discovered a glitch in our battery setup that was a potentially dangerous situation! Recently my daughters husband was killed in an accident, he was riding his bike to work because his van was in the shop and got hit by a truck. She was devastated and unable to go get the van. She kept thinking if the van had been running he would not have been on his bike. Long story short. The place in republic where the van was called henry's to have it towed and explained the situation. My son and I went to pick it up for her and found out that henry's wants almost $700.00 dollars for her to get the van. They want $100.00 just to let her get his stuff out of the van, ie his golf clubs ect. She in no way has that kind of money. The best ever I have experienced. My dad backed up the rental car in a ditch, no damage to car amazingly. The guy said if he did the charge for service he'd be required to notify the rental car company, so he didn't! Gave him a cash tip and he didn't even want to accept, said he is just doing his job. Absolutely shameful the way the lot manager behaves! She kept giving me this annoyed teenager stare. All she was missing was the chewing gum! I entered asking her several questions (I even had to make a second trip into the office to re-ask questions!)... she never did answer any of them.. The only time she interacted with me was as though she was annoyed to see a customer!. I was missing my drivers license.. which wasn't good.. but she was just a headache.. didn't offer any suggestions, help or information.
