First of all beware this is not an all you can eat buffet. We were charged $10 for the meat and vegetable items they wanted another $5 for desserts and I forget how much they wanted to charge for salad. You do not get a second helping unless you pay for it. With that being said the food was okay for me it was nothing to brag about. service was good but they are only open Limited hours like 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or maybe three I forget. Would I go back there again probably not but it was worth the first time experience as I like to try the different restaurants in the area. read more

Wish you could go back to 1984 when granny used to take you to her favorite all you can eat buffet? Here it is. Gordon Ramsey has not been in here to tear down the 1970s paneling and that is a good thing. The hours on Yelp are just plain wrong. Call them to get the correct hours. We showed up a few minutes before their afternoon closing time (not realizing it because Yelp's posted hours were so confusing), and they stayed open without making it obvious till we were finished. Because that's the type of place it is. All you can eat is about $18. But there are plenty of cheaper meal options for around $12. The best thing was the catfish - properly breaded with crispy corn meal - which makes the dough-ball hush-puppies all the more baffling. Why not use the same corn-meal instead of that boxed half-wheat-flour mix? Getting rid of that boxed mix would improve things immeasurably! The fried chicken was perfectly fine - not dry - even though I prefer the pressure-fried extra-crunchy batter version that Cracker Barrel produces on its best days. The desserts? Hmm. Maybe more towards granny's taste. Did granny just pour a jar of Smuckers into a pan to start her cobbler? Sure seems like she did. But you eat healthy anyway. You don't need dessert. We have eaten at Henry's twice in the last month. The food truly is made on site, even the salad dressings. And the fried chicken is to die for. Little surprised at the carpeting (dirty), but the food was really good. The TWO things I would change is PLEASE let us serve ourselves. Many buffet restaurants do. It frees up at least 2 servers, and allows diners to get the portions they want. In the case of most seniors, they'll take a lot less than what your servers put on our plates. 2nd, please ADVERTISE YOUR PRICE. It seems to fluctuate every time I'm in there. I wasnt really expecting much... its an older building with kinda cramped seating because the tables are too close together and at first glance the buffet didnt have a large selection. But once the waitress brought the tea pitcher and left it on the table, I knew everything would be alright. I can burn through some tea so leaving the pitcher allows me to control my refills from my seat... awesome. The buffet was half seafood & half country cooking. Everything tasted great... the chicken & roast was tender, the mashed potatoes & cheese grits were creamy. I enjoyed my meal... no room for dessert, maybe next time. read more

Good ole home cooked food. Very busy place. Will go back again for sure. Comfortable setting.

Passing by at lunchtime so I pulled in. Should have paid more attention to the age of the diners. If you like your vegetables so overcooked you can suck green (grey) beans through your teeth, yams with a texture like jello, mashed potatoes with the consistency of wallpaper paste then you will love this place. So after driving past several places that said closed including this one. We turned back as there were several cars there. We walked in to an old worn but clean place. Never judge a book by its cover! The fried chicken was one of the best we ever had. Squash and onions, green beans, cornbread or biscuit and a tea for $9! We did get the banana pudding homemade for another $2. I had to undo my pants and lie down in the car I ate so much. When we go back through we're going straight there! read more

Diner. Side of the road. Buffet. No advertising on the price of the base buffet. Buyer beware. Should have asked. One dollar symbol, per Yelp!, should mean it's $10 or less per person. We just paid $17 per person and no, we did not get the extra $10 up-charge for a pound of snow crabs. We literally only ate 1-2 pieces of fried chicken and 2 sides and a scoop of cobbler each. $17 a person for what exactly?? Family of 3 charged $54 for a southern buffet dinner. Seriously. Keep driving for somewhere else to eat. The food was good but I've never eaten any 1 piece fried chicken dinner that was worth $17. read more

While staying at Cross Creek Campground in Mountain City, GA, the owner told us we had to eat at Henry's Restaurant. So, Friday evening, we decided to give it a try and we are so happy we did! They offer a buffet that is incredible! The fried chicken and fried catfish reminded me of a place where my parents took me as a child. Best ever!! There were a huge variety of selections you could stay at Henry's for hours, but they'd have to call an ambulance for food overdose! The price for the buffet is very reasonable, and comes with tea and dessert. Everything tastes fresh and homemade. The service is friendly and fast. Great salad bar, too. The restaurant is super clean. But get there right when it opens, because it fills up fast. I believe Henry's is open on Friday and Saturday at 5pm, not sure about closing, and on Sunday at 11am. read more
