We were stated right away early on a Friday night. We ordered drinks, a tempura shrimp salad, a grouper sandwich, and a Mediterranean panini. Chips and salsa right away! At first glance, the restaurant's location in a small strip mall might give off a somewhat unassuming vibe, but after reading a glowing review, I decided to give it a try--and I'm so glad I did! First off, the staff was great. Excellent service. My beef (or in this case, lack of it) was with the special I ordered. I get that some places serve paper thin steaks, but once you get over the $20 price point I expect one at least thick enough to cook to a preferred temperature. Nope. Thinner than a waffle house steak, of course no chance of cooking anything but through. It wasnt even so much that ot was a small portion, it just had no chance of being cooked well. The blue cheese crumbles and sauce were in greater quantities than the meat. This review is honestly 1 star food, the saving grace here was the servers. read more

Wasn't good, customers service was not appealing. Especially for having only 2 people in the place. Couldn't imagine how it takes so long... but when you get your food it's over cooked and has all the char and grease that the uncleaned grill has left over on it. When I asked for my item to be replaced they talk trash about it wait 15 mins then re make it. It's not hard to put chicken in a wrap. Sorry but I do not recommend read more

Our first visit here - "fresh food with a flair" was a good tag line. They had a great menu, from burgers to paninis, pasta to Mexican. We ordered the fish n chips & chimichanga. Food was fast, good presentation & delicious. While the fish was an average portion & cole slaw was average it was great. Chimichanga was tasty, different flavor than traditional & very fresh. We decided to splurge & order the Sopapilla for dessert, it was delicious. Service was friendly & efficient. We will be back again! read more

Service and presentation, as always, were excellent. Decided to try the black and blue ribeye steak special. Ordered medium rare and got well done. Partly, I think, because the "steak" was only about 1/4" thick. Premium steaks are usually 1 - 1 1/2" thick. The Brussel sprouts were bitter and the "loaded" baked potato not very loaded. Salad dressings were served in tiny portions and both bleu cheese and ranch were watery. "Chips" served with the fish and chips were a little soggy and the fish was more batter than fish. The best food today was the fried chicken that came with the salad. I wonder why fried chicken isn't on the menu? The salsa served before dinner was bland. I'm not giving up in Ishy's but next time I'll bring a fresh Jalapeño for them to dice and add it to the salsa. Then I'll order the chimichanga! read more

Read the reviews and was like, I'll give it a go. The ribeye was very good. Most people walk around downtown Clayton and just go to one of the same old same Olds because it's there. This little hidden gem is worth getting in the car and driving the mile to get to. Service was great, food was excellent. If I were to nitpick, it would be that I asked for fresh decaf and they brought instant coffee. I will be back when in the Clayton, GA. area. read more

We've eaten here several times and it's always been good. I like the salsa for sure, they do a variety of dishes and the portions are good. They are still working a lighter COVID schedule so check the hours, they aren't on Main St but in the center behind Duvall, check them out. read more

I stop in when I'm visiting family in Clayton. This is a great little restaurant. I've had a few of their sandwiches and a salad or two, all have be yummy. My niece loves their lobster bisque, but they don't always have it. They rotate soups of the day. The service is always professional and attentive. They also have the most yummy sopapilla. Best fried mushrooms around, very flavorful batter. The two of us split an order of Parrillada, (3 meat fajitas), and found it to be very tasty! Ended the meal with warm brownies and ice cream... delicious . Very clean and great atmosphere, prices are very reasonable able! read more

We eat there after church and during the week. They have a lot of choices on the menu. Very good place to eat. Really nice people.

Tried this place at my local friends suggestion. Really fine food and service. Extremely fresh and prepared with care. Everything is home made and perfectly seasoned. A variety of dishes all with little twists. You can spend more here but there is plenty of dishes under $10. If you're in the area we'd really hope you'd try them. I forgot to mention, the Chicken Quesadilla was the best I have EVER had. Those who know me realize that's saying something. But again, there is lots of variety here. read more

Having been vaccinated my husband and I are now enjoying eating out and feeling safer around others. However while dining at Ishy's our server said she was not vaccinated and would not get the vaccine. Although she was wearing a mask we felt uncomfortable for the rest of our stay. It's a no wonder locals love this place. The food and service is wonderful. Ishy's menu is ample- from traditional to unique dishes there is something for everyone. I got the Grouper with peach chutney and it was phenomenal! Every dish brought out looked wonderful. I would give this place 10 stars if I could! A great way to support local. It is a great place to have Mexican food. It is worth the extra money, but sometimes it feels empty. They got large TVs and haven't been there in a long time but the servers are real helpful. Sometimes the place feels too big. I know I'm weird, but sometimes I spend too much money on Mexican food, so I go to cheaper places. read more

Ishys is a great place with lots of menu choices and variety. The staff is friendly and attentive. We ordered the guacamole with our chips and it was not my favorite but we still ate it. I LOVE the salsa... not very spicy which is GREAT! The Mexican dish we ordered had beef, shrimp, chicken, and veggies. My husband and I split and and it was plenty. After reading the reviews on this place and having a Mexican craving while in Clayton, we decided to give it a try. It was a little off the beaten path so be sure to keep your eyes peeled. We had the chorizo cheese dip and it was delicious. It comes in a bread boat and has wonderful flavor. It is served with tortilla chips. My husband literally scraped out the inside of the bread bowl :) we also split the fajita nachos and they were kind enough to separate them into two different bowls for us. They were also delicious and the meats and veggies were cut into small strips which made them easy to eat on the tortilla chips. The staff was also very friendly. read more

I had the BOB burger, my son the Parillada and my wife a Panini and were all three very happy with what we were served. Hidden Gem! We were looking for food during thanksgiving and were lucky to stumble upon Ishy's on our drive to Atlanta. Well prepared food with interesting selection from American to Latin.
