Sloppy, careless and no ownership for their work. We had used Henry's several times at our old house for window cleaning. So, we decided to call them for gutter cleaning in our new house. The first crew that came out to clean our gutters left a mess all over our house and front yard. Debris was strewn all over and the sides of my house were covered in mud and dirt they had thrown down from the gutters. In addition, I had paid for the Premium service (which includes a cleaning of the underground downspout extensions and video of the gutters). The crew said they did not do that type of work and left. When I called the office, they offered to send a second crew. That crew never showed up. I called again and they sent a third crew who did a good job on the underground extension but still never cleaned up the mess from the first crew nor provided the video of the gutters. I contacted the office and never got a response back. They sent me an invoice and I indicated that I didn't want to pay until they fixed the work. They refused to do anymore but told me the invoice was firm. I'll pay it and never work with them again. read more

The power washer came out on a cold day in autumn. I have an over 100 year old house. It has not been painted much in the last century. They did a real good job, even the low hanging roof in front over the porch and the two chimneys, one which appeared to have 100 plus year old soot on it. When done, I realized any paint job I would do could only equal what the power washing job did. I am so grateful for them doing the extra mile and really performing above my expectations. read more

A small business owner without a conscience is the worst thing ever. And that's exactly how Henry and his team are .. without any conscience. I had hired HH end of last summer to clean our gutters and repair a gutter that was inclined away from the downspout. When I called HH they gave me an estimate over the phone without even looking at the extent of work involved (red flag). The estimate was accepted via an email received from HH office. The gutter clean up was done as expected. Not a whole lot of issues there. However the gutter repair was never completed. The service technician tinkered around for 15-20 mins and said it was all fixed. However when it rained the rain water still would flow from the other end of the gutter. Since the problem was never fixed I emailed HH to either come back and fix the issue or give me a refund for the in completed work. My email was neither acknowledged nor returned. Very unprofessional. I followed up with an other email after a week. Still no reply from HH. So finally I called Henry and left him a voice mail. He calls me back after three days saying that he was out of state and could not return my call. I explained the situation to him and said HH has not completed the work as per the contract. I also said that his staff did not return any of my emails. To which he replied that my emails ended up in SPAM folder. What BS !! When I accepted their email proposal it was all fine. However when I complained about their work it ending up in SPAM. Bunch of lies. Henry promised to come back and fix the gutter issue. Its been close to 8 months and no one ever showed up since then. The reason I am raising this issue after this long is because of their negligence there was extensive damage to the underlying wood underneath the gutters. So Henry will you take responsibility for the shoddy work and negligence .. I guess not !! Henry and his team are very unprofessional and have poor business ethics. I had several roofing companies come out to fix a persistent leak in one spot on my roof. One promised for 99.95 to tell me what was wrong and wanted another $1000 to fix it. Another charged $500 to fix the roof, it still leaked and he would never call me back. On the other hand I called Henry, who quoted $200, he was there on time, he fixed the roof and it hasn't leaked since. I used Henry's Housework many years ago with the same positive result. This is the response I've sent to Henry's Housework. Should you choose to still hire them after my review, make sure you keep looking over their shoulders as they will not perform a good job if you are not around. I have called your office yesterday. I wanted to let you know that there is an area of the gutter that has been pulled out about 2 inches from the fascia board. This produced that the rain water was falling in between the gutter and the fascia board and consequently, directly into the foundation which caused the water to come into the basement. I did not supervised your workers when they came, that's why I am only noticing it now. This is an obvious mistake that was caused by your workers grabbing themselves from the gutter and separating it from the fascia board. This is going to cost me quite a lot of money to repair it. This is the third time that I have hired your company to clean my gutters. The first time you sent an African American man who did a very good job. The second time you sent a worker that even though he did a good job but he had not all the necessary tools at hand and had to borrow some of mine, including a hose nozzle that he broke and you replaced it. The third time you sent a couple of workers and I already told you what happened with them. This issue signals to me that you have quite a turn over of human resources. Perhaps this is due fact that you do not hire competent workers (my case proves it) and/or you do not pay them well enough. Needless to say, I am not planning to contract your services any longer and be aware that I will be posting this message on the internet as I told the lady that I spoke with yesterday. We hired Henry's Housework to come house wash and acid wash our house to remove aluminum siding oxidation. It was scheduled for a Saturday since only one individual can do the acid washing. He showed up just before 5pm, saying he got held up helping someone move. After backing his truck off our driveway and notching the pavement, he started to work. It quickly got dark and he had to stop. He also said he couldn't get some of the stuff off and would have to schedule another time to come back. A few weekends later, he was scheduled to come out again on a Saturday. I waited around the whole day, and he never showed. No calls, texts, etc. When I got in touch with the office, I didn't get much of a reaction, just them wanting to reschedule it. No way. I already wasted two days for about 1 hour of work, which accomplished nothing at all. I would not recommend Henry's Housework. I would like an official apology. read more

We had Henry's Housework repair our gutters after a storm took a huge piece down. We had some communication issues with getting the repairs scheduled (the answering service doesn't always seem to relay messages to the main office correctly), but the repair work was done great. The guy who did our repairs was very friendly and the work was done well. And Karen, who did our scheduling, was great to deal with once we were able to get a hold of her. My only other complaint outside of the communication issues with the answering service is that they didn't close our fence gate after they were in our yard working on the gutters (both times they were out). In my book, if you open a gate the common sense thing to do is to close it after you are finished using it. Their lack of this sense caused our dog to get to go on a tour of our neighborhood the first evening after HH was at our house. Fortunately he didn't get very far but this dog mom was not.pleased! read more

Seems Henry's doesn't learn its lessons. I see that someone posted just two months ago about a gate being left open and a dog getting loose. Today, our five show dogs escaped the yard after a gutter-cleaning visit by Henry's. Gate was left open. The communications issues previously reported about the answering service are true. Their web communications are also quite poor, but they managed to pelt me with plenty of solicitations including one to support Henry's daughter in some fundraiser. Mr. Daniel who performed the work on my house, was very professional with communicating with me what he was going to do and he did an excellent job cleaning my vinyl siding and gutters. Henry's Housework cleaned my gutters this week. My experience from the time I called them to the day they came out to clean my gutters was A+. The best part was that I didn't have to be home for them to come out and do the work. Customer service was great. Henry's Housework cleaned the plants that were growing in my gutter. If you want them to clean and bag the debris from the gutters, prepare to pay an extra fee. I was very surprised to see negative reviews for Henry's Housework. I have used them for years to clean my gutters. Several years ago I had them fix two leaks in my roof. Always done well by the owners or technicians who are very polite. The only problem I ever had was one time there was leaf debris left on the deck. I have used Henry's several times for gutter cleaning. I find this company to be professional and curteous. During the last gutter cleaning the window wells had some leaves that were left behind, in previous cleanings this was cleaned out. I sent a simple email and it was quickly resolved. This might seem to be a minor thing to report to the company but I truly appreciated the quick response. I will use Henry's again for gutter cleaning. We had Henry's Housework power wash our front ipe walkway. We live in a very modern house and just refinished our huge modern door in the Fall of 2014. Henry's Housework accidentally power washed off not only the finish of our custom made door but the stain color as well. The owner himself came out and said he would send someone out to try and solve the problem because we had to have the door taken off before to refinish it. The 'person' never came and we have $1000.00 worth of damage because of the way the door will need to be fixed. Don't use them, they do not stand by their word. called to schedule gutter cleaning a few weeks ago. 2 days before they are scheduled to show up, they cancel because they said a technician was out. Their next available was not for at least 2 weeks and then no availability on days i could arrange to take off work again. I asked that given the circumstances could they come in an evening or wknd-- and they said no. So can't say anything about their gutter cleaning skills but if you are looking for customer service, it's not henry's thing. Turned out to be lucky- i asked our lawn guys for a referral and turns out they do gutter cleaning, and did it with 2 days of our asking them; and we didn't have to be home for them to do it; and they charge less money than henry's!! read more

I'm definitely a fan! Mark was awesome! Very professional, honest with his assessments and a good listener when I explained the issues that were pressing to me with the gutters as well as a few other repairs around the exterior of the house. Kathy W. was great with communicating and setting service and payment up with me-she even caught a better coupon deal that saved me a few bucks, which I really appreciate and value in a company!! Initially on the first try Mark was to perform service, it stormed when he was going for his ladder, so we had to reschedule a week later. When he returned the next week, he was able to do the work quickly; he was clean; showed me the debris/problems; quickly gave an estimate for permaguard gutter guards as requested and by happenstance, had enough material in his van to install on the spot! I was very pleased with everything and would definitely use Henry's Housework again, with strong preference for Mark. read more

Do yourself a favor and do not ever use this company for any services! They are horrible, including Henry! I'd give 0 if I could! I called upon them to fix a leakage on my roof so someone came out to take a look. Thy guy gave me a quote and because it was raining he said that he will call me to confirm the time to fix everything the following Monday. He never called and so I called someone else to fix the roof because of the leak. Two weeks later, he called me and told me that he already went up the roof and fixed it! So I was shocked because he NEVER called and all of a sudden, he shows up 2 weeks later without my knowledge and then calls me to tell me that he fixed something that was already fixed! Anyway, I was billed for the service! I spoke to Henry and told me that I was still responsible for the service because I agreed for the tech to come back verbally. I never gave verbal authorization because the guy said he would call. no contract was signed, the guy didn't call me until much later to confirm anything and even when he called, he took care of it without telling me! and had to pay or he was going to put a lien against my house! He and Steve spent more than an hour on my home and not only power washed it but washed the windows as he was power washing the siding. These guys are real pros and very nice. I've been using Henrys Housework for gutter and roof inspection/repair for many years and have always been very happy with their service. So when I suffered a roof leak/damage following this past winter's storm I sought out their services. Since my roof was nearly 30 years old and showing signs of wear & tear, in addition to the damaged areas, I opted to have them replace the entire roof and some rotted trim. Between weather and employee delays, it took several months for the work to be completed, or so I thought. I was driving home one day and noticed that my roof was 2 different colors.Unfortunately I can't see the my upper level roofs from the ground so went up onto a hill and sure enough. Though I paid for the entire roof to be replaced, one section had not been touched! I had also paid for some trim work to be replaced. Nope not touched. I contacted them immediately about the incomplete work. Henry called me back and instead of being apologetic, he complained that the contract wasn't written well (doesn't he review them?) and that he had lost money on this job. I'm not sure how that could be since I paid for work that wasn't even done. Then he suggested that since I had no damage on that section of roof, that they wash it so it matches. Um that's not the point- the point being I had asked for AND PAID for the entire roof to be replaced, not washed! It's been 21 days since I contacted them about completing the job. Since no sign of of any work being done. I'm done. read more

Unreliable. I had scheduled gutter service with them and after waiting a week for the appointment, was told that the person who was scheduled to come out called in sick. I was told I would hear from them to reschedule. When I did not hear back, I called to them and was told they would send me an e-mail once they figured out if everything was "on the up and up." (whatever that meant) I then received an e-mail that was to my e-mail, but with another customer's name on it, saying they would try to squeeze me in for that following day. They didn't come or contact me that, the following day, or the day after that. I contacted them and was told that someone would call me back. They never did. I have now scheduled service with another company and will not be calling them again. I sent them an e-mail to tell them that I was going with another company since they did not seem to need my business and I immediately got a response with a reschedule date three days from then.
