Alex was amazing. When every other handyman didn't want to do this job, Alex was happy to take a look and offer his services. As you can see, the kids broken a pane of glass on the window leading to the sunroom and Alex was able to replace it with a similar piece of glass without any issues. I feel like the photos speak for themselves in terms of what he can fix. He was very responsive via text and prompt with when he would arrive for taking measurements or for installing. We are a no shoes household and he noticed that right away on entry and took his shoes off so that he didn't step on our carpet with his shoes. I appreciate his attention to details like that and being respectful. The price was reasonable at 220 to repair this. There's no way I would have been able to get this done myself given the time it took. I will definitely be using Alex as my handyman from here on out. read more

Our child pulled a towel rack out of the wall. Apparently it was not installed through a stud. We were quoted a great, fair price for the repair. The company was on time for the estimate appointment and the appointment for the repair. They picked up the paint, repaired the drywall, repainted the entire wall, and reinstalled the towel rack. We also asked them to recaulk our sink. The work was impeccable. I'm looking forward to hiring Tamar Services again for other projects in our home. read more

I contacted Tamar Home Services to get a couple pieces of exterior trim on my house replaced and painted. They got back to me immediately which I really appreciated, and even after a problem getting to my house (unexpected road work in my neighborhood), we were able to communicate over text to get an estimate. They came out promptly to get the repairs done and did an excellent job. In addition to the scheduled work, the guys took a look at a couple other issues I had to give me a professional opinion on options, and advised and gave me a quote for some other exterior siding/trim maintenance recommended. The work was reasonably priced and I really appreciated being able to get someone professional, reliable, and timely to get the work done. I would highly recommend them for any work you need done! read more

Dropped an important meeting to answer the door to show Tamar through the house. Pointed out all issues and promised a quote. Never got back to me. I waited a week and didn't contact anyone else, thinking that we'd have a job to do. Nothing. What a waste of time. read more

We hired Alexander from Tamar Home Services to repair some damaged wood trim on the exterior of our house. The trim was damaged due to water leakage. Alexander replaced the trim and painted it so that it looks brand new. He also identified the sources of the leak (there were more than we originally realized), caulked them, and painted those over as well. The quality of the work was top-notch. Everything was fixed very promptly (within a week of contacting him). In addition, the price was competitive; his was the lowest cost of the quotes we received. Overall, we were very happy with Tamar Home Services and would hire them again for a future project. read more

I contacted Alex through Yelp to have a small repair done on the exterior of my house. He was responsive, his quote was reasonable, and he came out the following day as scheduled and completed the repair, and ensured that it was completed in a way that would prevent the issue from happening again. I would highly recommend and will be calling him again the future when in need of handyman services. read more

Alex and his team came in to do some drywall repair, door trim, and painting. It was two different rooms with different paint colors, one of which was a decent sized project. We got a bunch of estimates with a large range but Alex came in at the best price, offered to paint match and leave me the touch up paint, and included all materials. He was able to give the estimate based on photos and followed through with that same price after seeing the project. The crew came out two days later and were flexible around my work schedule, worked quickly and efficiently (whole job finished before my night shift), and most importantly did an incredible job. The colors are matched perfectly and the repair is completely unnoticeable. We have been looking for a handyman for projects like this for a while and will absolutely use them again. read more

I had such an amazing experience with Alex and the staff at Tamar Home Services. From the very beginning, Alex was professional and thorough, and took down all the details that I communicated with him regarding the fixes and changes to our home (which we had been putting off for some time, as our previous handyman was no longer responsive). We had our garage molding caulked and repainted; our front door, house number, and front door border/molding repainted; and one of our laundry room doors was replaced, which had sustained some damage, some years ago. Alex even ordered some replacement door stops that our cats had long since chewed off, for the laundry room doors. The staff was courteous and professional, and we are very, very pleased with the results. We will definitely be having them back over for more enhancements! Thanks again! read more

Timely response, good communication, a fair price, and a terrific job repairing a hole in the dining room ceiling from a plumbing leak - and then painting the whole ceiling once the repair was complete. The job was finished in a matter of hours. I'll definitely contact Alex for additional work in the future - if you need work done, give him a call! read more

Alex came out and gave me a quote after seeing the attic fan. He also adjusted the thermostat. He came back today to do the work after we awarded him the job. The attic fan was working because he adjusted the thermostat on the first visit. He was able to save us a lot of money by just adjusting the thermostat. We now do not have to buy a new thermostat and motor. Great job! Very friendly, knowledgeable and honest. read more

Our deck door was jammed and the wood on the top is peeling off from all the opening and closing. Another handyman service that we used for another job was telling us how the door and frame both need to be replaced and made it sound like a huge job. I wanted to get a second opinion so I first posted the job on Thumbtack - no takers. Then I thought I give Yelp a try. Alex from Tamar Home Services responded quickly and came out 3 days later to take a look. He explained the door was in good shape and what he would do to stop the door from jamming which does not involve replacing anything. He provided an estimate that same day and it was very reasonable. On the day of the repair, Alex showed up at the agreed time, performed the job efficiently and cleaned up the area afterwards. He even adjusted the lock so it turns more smoothly. We are very satisfied with the quality of work. I will be hiring him for another door repair job for a family member. read more

The first time I used this company they were hard to communicate, but they did a nice job once the job was defined and scheduled. I tried to get in touch with them for another job, which at first they said they were too busy, but after I insisted they come out to look at the work they scheduled a time to come out.I ask for an estimate and after not hearing back after awhile was told they were so busy. I never got an estimate or any other communication from them and had to call another company to do the job. read more

Alex was very helpful, prompt and quick to answer any question I had. He coordinated work that was completed on my house with an amazing employee, Juan, who may have been the hardest worker I've ever had. Alex responded quickly and came out the next day (would have been same day if I'd been available) to repair my front door. After he finished that job, I showed him a light fixture over the stairs and asked if he could replace the light bulbs sometime. He immediately offered to go to Lowe's and get LED bulbs for me, then installed them. Two repair jobs done! Alex was courteous, arrived on time, and his price was very reasonable. I am recommending him to all my neighbors and will be contacting him again for other repairs. read more

He wouldn't even give me an estimate and told me I was too impatient, sarcastically adding "Great review" when I had not posted any review.

In working with Alex he has always responded promptly and arrived at the time he said he would. Among other things he fixed door issues, light problem, backyard wood step problems and skylights that were never installed correctly. Had a great experience with these guys. We needed the ceiling in our home office repaired after a roof leak, and they did a great job patching the ceiling and repainting. After I contacted them, Alex came out the next day to inspect the damage and he messaged us later with a quote. We were then able to schedule them to do the job later that week. The entire project took just a few hours, and Alex and his team were respectful of our home and cleaned up well. They even left the extra paint behind in case we need to do any touch-ups in the future! Will definitely have them out to do more jobs as needed. read more

We had an issue with a previous handyman's work repairing our back window frame. Alex came out quickly to assess the problem and provided a quote the same day. The repair was done expertly and Alex was communicative throughout the whole process.
