"The furnace is making a weird noise" are enough words to ruin somebody's day. After calling multiple HVAC companies, I finally connected with Henry's Mechanical. They promptly sent someone out to assess the situation. Preliminary report comes back "this is the worst condition I've ever seen a furnace in", so that was neat. But I was reassured not to worry, that Henry's Mechanical had just the guy to help me, by the name of Andrew. This poor bastard had no idea what he was getting himself into, the day he walked into my condo. He confirmed the furnace was in shit condition - not only presenting a major fire hazard, but also had very likely been leaking carbon monoxide. Initially Andrew was more than eager to help me - that is, until I mentioned having a home warranty, which turned out to be enough words to ruin *his* day. Andrew kindly and patiently explained to me how all home warranties are absolute nightmares to work with, and 10 out of 10 times, home owners are better off just putting that expense towards an account to replace major ticket items, like a furnace. He explained the tedious process they have in place for *any* sort of approval for repair, and in cases of full replacement, I would probably be SOL. But Andrew, bless his little heart, told me he would help me navigate the process to the best of his ability. Over the next 6 weeks, Andrew called the home warranty company multiple times, spent ungodly amounts of time on hold, got bounced around from different points of contacts, and was given dead end leads and road block after road block. Each time he thought he was making progress, they threw another wrench into the mix. He was available after hours to answer my questions, on weekends, and even during a trip where he left town, he said he would have his phone on him if I needed further info or details while filing their required paperwork. Andrew went to the trouble of drafting up a document itemizing different elements of furnace replacement, and he even sat in on a few three way calls when I called the adjuster. There were several instances where I was ready to rip my hair out and just unleash on these adjusters who weaponized their incompetence, but the entire time Andrew remained calm, professional, and held the home warranty company accountable. Today, I got a check in the mail from the home warranty company towards the cost of replacing the furnace. There is no chance in hell I would've gotten a dime out of them, if it were not for Andrew spending countless hours advocating for me and helping me through the process. Words cannot explain how grateful I am for Andrew's diligent work and above and beyond customer service. Whatever Andrew is getting paid, he deserves a raise on top of that. I will eventually need to replace the AC and have more work done on other parts of the system, but I know when that time comes, I can absolutely count on Andrew from Henry's Mechanical to deliver the best service possible. read more

We had a plumbing leak where a pipe cracked and we had no water at all coming into our home. We were going through our home warranty company, and they were doing absolutely everything they could to make things more difficult if not impossible, and we had to rent a hotel room for two nights while they fumbled around and did nothing to help. Fortunately, they ended up "expediting the repair", which in real-world terms meant that when they failed to get anything done for us, they had to then let us pick our own plumber instead of continuing to delay us from actually getting it fixed. We called Henry which recently started offering plumbing services. Their dispatcher was great to talk to, and then their plumber Mike Moller talked to me on the phone first and then came out. We were still going through our home warranty company, which made everything 98 times more difficult to deal with, but Mike showed patience in dealing with them that went way beyond what he should have had to do, in order to help us get our coverage.authorization. He inspected, talked to the home warranty company, and fixed the leak all in the same visit, whereas my home warranty company would still have been trying to locate anyone to even do an initial inspection. He was polite, friendly, professional, and got us taken care of. He also took time to explain the situation since the leak issue was under the house, and advised us on a couple of other issues he noticed since our pipes had apparently never been properly secured in place and explained how a section had been improperly glued together. We will absolutely be going to Henry/Mike again with any future plumbing needs - Mike in particular made a very stressful situation so much better, and I recommend him without reservation to anyone needing plumbing services along these lines. read more

I have an old gas wall furnace, probably a good 20 years old, made many phone calls and found that most companies don't service them anymore. Had a company come out, was told I needed the entire unit replaced, but the tech that came out made me feel like I was being taken. Called Henry Mechanical for a second opinion...they came right out that morning, Ian was straight up, professional, took the unit apart and showed me a real serious, dangerous problem. My selective dog LOVED him, so I figured...she knows better...lol so I went with it. Needed to be replaced. I have to be honest, it wasn't the cheapest quote by far, however, get what you pay for. They sent Tyson, and a nice looking gentleman assistant out to help, the very next morning! And again, my dog LOVED both of them! both very dog friendly, in less then two hours I had heat again, which was lovely considering the cold temps we have had at night! Again, a little pricey, IMO, BUT...the service, the techs, even the gals in the office were exceptional in their concern, service, knowledge and timeliness! I would like to recommend Henry Mechanical to anyone needing furnace repairs. Our furnace plenum had come apart under our house in a very narrow crawl space. Andrew and Phillip were able to slide under the house and locate the problem. Andrew was very knowledgeable and explained what was wrong and how it could be fixed. He took pictures and showed us what had happened and gave us a quote. He was very professional and both men were very careful due to COVID concerns and thoroughly cleaned up after crawling in the dirt under the house. A few days after ordering the necessary plenum cover Andrew and Phillip were back and fixed our heating problem. I was impressed with Andrew and how he took the time to explain what was needed, answer our questions and how thoroughly they cleaned up after completing the job. Best of all, after finishing the job quicker than originally anticipated, Andrew adjusted the original quote accordingly by several hundred dollars. Should I have any additional furnace problems I would definitely call this company again and will recommend anyone looking for furnace repairs to also use Henry Mechanical. read more

As requested, Henry's HVAC called me as a reminder to have my Air Conditioner examined at in the Spring at our rental property. We had the heater replaced in the winter after a renter destroyed the home and due to financial considerations, decided not to replace the air conditioner at that time. Andrew came out and did initially the unit didn't turn on at all. He found they had the disconnect was upsidedown. As soon as he corrected that problem, the 20 year old system did fire. He spent a good 90 minutes cleaning, taking pictures and trying to get AC working to get us through another summer. The recommendation is to replace, but Andrew was able to get it running until we get the finances to purchase another. Andrew was meticulous about the cleaning, entering the house with shoe covers, made sure he turn the AC off when he left, and providing a written evaluation of the entire system. We have used Henry Mechanical now for 23 years and have received nothing but spectacular work and service from them. When we originally bought our place in the Sonoma wine country 23 years ago, it did not have central heating. They were able to install it for us making an ingenious use of crawl space and attic space and did a spectacular job. They even installed a modem that communicated with a thermostat (back then, you could not just do it by computer!) to allow us to turn it on remotely. Ten years ago, they installed air conditioning. All continues to function perfectly with continued dependable service from them - Eric was just out to change the filters and service the furnace and did his usual dependable, excellent job. I can't speak to the quality of their work, but I can't speak to the quality of their driving. I had the unfortunate run in (almost literally) from a middle-age white male Henry mechanical driver in a white van, who does not know how to use a four-way stop. Then after almost causing an accident proceeds to race down Southwest Boulevard in Rohnert Park flipping me off for good measure. If the owner of the company is reading this, the last four of the California license plate is 08V3 and this occurred on September 28, 2023 at approximately 3 PM. Why someone would drive so aggressively, dangerously and flip off potential customers while advertising Henry Mechanical HVAC all over their van is someone who needs to be taken down a peg or two. David provides very personable & knowledgeable solar customer service. He was the only person we found in all our bids (we got 11 of them!) that listened and explained numerous complex details that other installer's sales people knew nothing about. He seemed to be part engineer, architect, and solar scientist. This gave us great insight into the workings of a solar system, the overall installation process, and how to earn the most tax credits and rebates available. Our family is better off after putting our trust into a local person with such care, consideration and love for what they do. The solar at Henry Mechanical is a rare gem. I decided to replace my heating and air conditioning system recently. I called three companies for prices and ideas. Henry Mechanical earned my business, they have a great product line with Lennox. They did not put any pressure on me to buy anything on the spot like one of the other high pressure companies and their prices were affordable. When the guys came out to install our new heater and air conditioner they were curtious and kept my families home clean. Henry Mechanical pulled all the permits and did everything that was on their contract. Working with David at Henry Mechanical Solar was a great experience right from the start. He was creative and came up with the perfect solution for what we needed. Of course there was copious amounts of paper work to deal with PG&E which David did it all. He took our existing solar and married it to a Power Storage System that he designed. Then had it installed. The system has been up and running for more than a year now and has done exactly what we needed it to. You're we;come for the feedback but still believe that with the number of times the system needed attention during the warranty that your company would have looked further into why the system was working so hard to accomplish the cooling. I don't think Moore Heating and Air Conditioning sold me an a/c unit that I did not need since all seems to be working correctly but that's the chance you take when you hire professionals who are suppose to know the business.
